Pro tip, try not to die. If enemy makes a mistake punish them, if you make a mistake fix it. Be proactive with your cool downs and ults. When you get into the mentality of not dying you'll get better
An additional thing on Ball reload: reload on crab form is faster than reload on ball form AND you can animation-cancel the reload with melee (can't do that in ball form) which makes it even faster, so mid duel, wait for the bullets to be locked in place (in the animation) and that's about when you can melee to cancel it, then start shooting -- can make a few duels a bit more feasible given how easily you can run out of ammo on ball if your aim is not chazm-tier
Wrecking ball tip: learn to wall jump of as many things as possible! You can get pile driver height of almost anything if you practice a lot but curved walls, corners, rocks, payload stuff like that are all very easy jumps to hit consistently after you play enough! Eventually you’ll do it on auto pilot and start trying other things like, straight walls and harder map environments and even other players. It’s great for letting you keep your grapple cooldown to either chase or escape in higher ranks! - 500+ hours on ball on console for reference :3
Thank you so much for this video, as someone who has pretty much one tricked DPS and is now trying to play tank, I couldn't find one guide on the internet that talked about taking space as each tank.
more knife stuff for JQ: keep it on cooldown and try and cleave many people for ult charge during poke phase, throwing it behind a 5stack of enemies and wounding them all is wayyy better than 1direct hit for ult economy, JQ gets super fast ults and can ball out of control if you keep the pressure up ideally for using ult you come out of the charge right behind the enemy ana, 180 and axe immediately, most anas arnt cracked enough to 180 sleep dart and she will hurt your burst window alot with her big cooldowns once youre in backline, if they have kiriko bait suzu first but alot of kiris will hold it just for you i typically ignore tank during ult and only go for dps
The biggest problem I have on tank is having passive teams, I want to go in aggressively and go for kills especially on attack rounds with zarya, winton, or jq. My team is playing like ana, sojourn, ashe and stuff playing really far back. I tried learning a long range tank like sigma to help out the passive teams because I guess your win condition is just ultimates with those comps? I find playing the slow game almost never works and my squishies get picked off by snipers before we can make any progress. Also I found if you show an ounce of skill on any tank hero the enemy team goes like reaper+zen+mei and you are not allowed to play the game at all. When that happens I usually ask my team mates to go for aggressive flanks and try to make plays cause I cant have any effect on the game. Stuck on mid plat so having more advice for playing with and against passive teams would be really helpful.
The thing is you just don't go in as tank and go for kills. The supports will just rain down their abilities on you and you will insta die. Make space first, create a opening or wait till someone picks off a kill first, bait out cooldowns ect ect. And for example with jq, save your shout for when you need to get out or forsure you know you'll finish the kill and get out. Or to counter abilities. Don't jusr use it randomly.
Look man, I know what I’m about to tell you sounds brain dead, but I’ve been playing this game since 2017 and this is what has helped me to climb from Gold (2017) to 4100 (2021) and finally GM 1 (2023): *WATCH PROS AND EMULATE* You don’t even have to play that much (I have 1700 hours total in 6 years), what I’ve gotten comes mainly from YT vids or Twitch. You’ll slowly learn what they focus on, their skill set, etc. I play the game intuitively just from watching and trying to understand what the best do in the situations I find myself in. Good luck improving! Hope this helps you out 💪🏻
My advice is to look back to see what your team is doing at basically every opportunity. Between sigma shots, zarya reloads, hog reloads/downtime, doom cooldown wait, etc. Not only useful for positioning/timing, also good for doing saves and helping the backline.
Biggest tip for monke is to punch, use quick melee while jump engaging, to quickly finish a target you're zapping, while taking the winston 1v1 etc. It's incredibly important
9:40 hitting primaries correct, the stun is not required. between slam and just shooting your target should die or close to. stun is only important to cancel abilities or when you have power punch, which is not a thing you wanna rely on
The blocking off enemy healing thing actual got me called a bad sigma cause my shields keeps being placed behind the enemy tank and not in front of them
as a main sigma, i do think that we have survival, not health, we have a good set and we can in theory take almost infinite damage if we time our cooldowns good, i learned to start playing more aggresive once i learn how the team tries to counter me and play around it... if you need to actually counter a sigma, use a hero that can surpass his kinetic, without it we are super squishy, use a roadhog or another sigma (his rock can surpass kinetic) and i do in fact hear the melody

This. Also applies to any hero, staying alive is the key.

With doom a good playstyle is baiting the cooldowns and going in with free engage with a dive team.
Yeah i noticed

most important things with winston:
-stage your engages through highgrounds
-dont waste bubble
-good bubble placement
The little Ramattra dance makes me so happy
Its so disorientating lmao

I was going to ask you why would anyone play OW on console, then I saw your username and it made sense.

Also nice tips :))
Give your team head pats as sig and ram trust me

Man I miss old Hog primary and secondary fire, it was way more satisfying than the current primary that kinda does both but not really

i like how the gameplay goes with what your saying very helpful
King Dedede rein skin would be sick
Great tips! Thanks, very helpful information. I would be interested to see you do a guide for hog now with the rework. Thanks!

I'm low in ranks, but I'm naturally great at being a tank. I can't wait to play offensively with Sigma.
good music selection
can we just talk about how long the first clip was, it was an intense fight!
The blocking off enemy healing thing actual got me called a bad sigma cause my shields keeps being placed behind the enemy tank and not in front of them
26:22 did lifeweaver pull rein away from his own shatter???
Lmfao this is why I hate lifeweaver
that's a cool rat at the end
What song did you use for the Rein section?
Very informative! Thx
Bros alphabet doesn’t have H
Honestly im having alot more fun playing tank than dps rn.
Reinhardt needs a King Dedede skin for sure
this is a good video
bro just refuses to pronounce "ch" or "sh" properly
not only that but he ALWAYS throws, like every single clip of him "jamming" got him or his team killed
@@Saki10001 dude i know "presser"
and the way he says damage
I love ram 😍😍😍
Here’s another tip: surround yourself with people that are exactly good.
Pro tip - Don't make your viewers queasy by dancing.
I try to play ranged as sigma, but the enemy tank always just walks over me? Am I still too close?
Win or lose he do be groovin to California girls tho
I could've sworn if you pull a JQ knife back immediately that the CD is shortened. Hm.
Sigma absorbs projectiles only..
sig not being tanky is a complete and utter lie 💀
fr, sometimes it genuinely takes the whole team to kill him
Well it's true because he has no armor

How about this: get Kurt the Warhammer hive tyrant in overwatch
Did I beat you with doom on qp
Listen man… I got as far as Doomfist and I haven’t learned anything new at all :/

If u die a lot as orisa there is something wrong in ur brain
the doomfist tips are very vague
‘Reinhardt is one of the better tanks to play in the game right now’
Yeah, this is when I stopped watching.
Is he pronouncing "shout" incorrectly on purpose??
Bro speaks so low i had to speed up the vid
Lol..I had it in 0.75 nvm

well, I've officially been that guy in an overwatch video of all places. I'm ready to be euthanize now
