Winston is unironically a good dva counter cause he ignores armour, is faster, max value armour vs dva Crazy how it changed from dva counters winton to winton counters dva
@@spyhy4019nah dva melts you or ur bubble so much faster with micro missiles where as counterdiving dva is just annoying doesn’t really end in a kill 9/10 times.
I think spilo never said to not switch, just that, if you have to switch, do it to someone you're comfortable with, don't switch to a hero you can't play just because it has a good matchup against someone
The point being is that counterswapping tanks often naturally exposes you more to common DPS/Support picks from the enemy team without your team doing anything differently. If that's not the case for your backline, then yeah, swap. If the enemy team counterpicks your tank, they may accidentally swap into heroes that have bad matchups vs your backline.
Basically, if the enemy team hyperspecializes too much into countering the tank, they may then be vulnerable to being easily countered by the rest of your team.
even ignoring the fact that you're misunderstanding his argument... so what? literally nobody is ever going to win a significant majority of their games. some games are going to be unwinnable, and thats ok. enough games ARE winnable that you can still climb. 51% winrate is all you need, 55-60% winrate is what you cam reasonably expect. so many people get into this trap of "im getting better why am i not climbing" but the thing is you ARE climbing, its just gonna be back and forth and up and down the whole way up. you will have losing streaks, you will have unwinnable games, but you will also have winning streaks and unloseable games. sometimes your team is the one with a good comp for the map and their team is the one with a bunch of stubborn one tricks. the negativity bias is a bitch, when you have an easy game you just go "that was easy" and move on, when you have a hard game its very easy for it to ruin your entire mood
I think some of the problem with counterswapping is the culture of the game. People are not good at playing into counters because they just swap off most of the time and never get the practice, even on good maps for their hero. It's a positive feedback loop.
I personally find it immensely satisfying to beat "hard counters." Even more satisfying when the enemy team doesn't actually choose the right hard counters. Like playing Mauga into Winston, which isn't even really that good, especially on maps with lots of highground.

If you wanna add sups - moira and HEAR ME OUT lw (most of time he is out of reach and pulls low/half hp deminishing all of the progress made). Substitute for tank possibly Winton. Will there ever be a dps scenario? I am a 1 trick junkrat and it would be fun to learn something from a zarya, pharah, echo combo. Though Ik that I would get obliterated lol.
I play a lot of Junkerqueen and I run into comps like Zarya/Junkrat/Cassidy/Kiriko/Ana. Often feels like I cant do crap all unless one of those players is experiencing brain death so I can pick one of them off.
you just made me remember a game i had against a Zarya, Reaper, Tracer, Moira and Kiri. At some point I just stood still and typed on chat "honestly, what's the point of my ult?"
The problem with this scenario is that 90% of the time you will not get a dps comp that works around winston like this one at the start.....you will have a junkrat inting at the start or some other crap that doesnt work even on masters-gm....thats also the stage where I cant continue playing the game when I am countered and the rest of my team doesnt pick around me to counter their bad picks that open op a lot of chances for them. In my games enemies always go for sombra+tank burster (especially on payload/push where my options are limited) and mostly my dps line has 1 person always going in far to early and dying and then stagger fights out and forcing 4v5 at some points, then you have a second dps that just doesnt work in the situation at all and isnt using the space you create (they basicly stack up on 1 angle and all the pressure is on you in the front).

Yes
Maps with a lot of verticality will be poor for heroes without vertical movement

So maps like eichenwalde or blizzard world are better maps for rein because he can use his charge for maximum potential
And his fire strikes are also better as they won't get stopped as easily
Spilo do u mainly do this with PC players?
Yeah, when the enemy team goes Bastion, your team's DPS should be feasting.
Need a Ball video ASAP
missed opportunity to call this "Misery Heroes"
that's why u r the GOAT
Next vid: “ I forced homeless people to just buy a house “
Now let’s see a rein go against mauga/bastion/junk/zen/bap
Not calling it "Misery Heroes" feels like a missed opportunity, ngl.
Very cool idea for a video
i already do this by one tricking bastion
I want to see pharah against Dva,Soldier 76,Ashe, Baptiste, and an Ana
Hey i joined overwatch end season 9 and went from silver 5 to platinum 5 with otp Sigma. Heres what i feel like is unfun comp to play against. Sigma vs Zarya, Sym, Pharah. If you wanna add sups - moira and HEAR ME OUT lw (most of time he is out of reach and pulls low/half hp deminishing all of the progress made). Substitute for tank possibly Winton. For dps any flyers and if player not sharp enough Sombra. Possible substitude for supps Kiriko (for obvios reasons)
Doom and Rein mains struggling to understand what the challenge is 😂
Will there ever be a dps scenario? I am a 1 trick junkrat and it would be fun to learn something from a zarya, pharah, echo combo. Though Ik that I would get obliterated lol.
I play a lot of Junkerqueen and I run into comps like Zarya/Junkrat/Cassidy/Kiriko/Ana. Often feels like I cant do crap all unless one of those players is experiencing brain death so I can pick one of them off.
you just made me remember a game i had against a Zarya, Reaper, Tracer, Moira and Kiri. At some point I just stood still and typed on chat "honestly, what's the point of my ult?"
then why are you playing into multiple counters?
1 or 2 is great but many and you are just stressing your supports
Omg (dva , genji , sombra , Ana and kiriko 😭 ) that would be my worst nightmare
He put no restrictions on what dps heroes the blue team picked but yes as Spilo said, he recommends swapping if he was coaching the winston in this match
@@Kanggaxx yes I watched the video, but then with the video titel it doesnt make sense.
I love this kind of video.
