Wow, I was stuck way too long on one tiny little section of this and finally figured out what I missed. Per your tutorial which you said....make sure to check the Deforming box in Physics! That little piece I missed got me stuck for way too long! Thanks for this great tutorial...it still works in Blender 4.1
I get a strange problem. The physics of the box reacts to the "invicible" belt that moves away in the x direction and not the one on the curve ? So basicly the box either goes along the x-axis forever or it drops down... Mayby i am just tired and missed someting..
I found it. On the belt rigid body settings i had to change from deform to final. Now its working it seems. Deform with "deforming" ticked did not work. Mayby a bug ? Anyway great tutorial !

Thank you for a great job. However, for me it does not work properly. The item on the belt moves only on the X axis on the original, not-curved array and not accroding to shape of curve. I can see that very clearly once going to edit mode, than the belt is straight and this is how it interactcs as an rigid body. Do you have any ideas how to fix it? any answer will be highly appreciated !
Hey, i have an issue. i followed all of the instructions. but weirdly the box is keep going on through the X axis after passing the conveyor edge instead of droping to the ground. can anyone help me?
In case anyone else sees this and don't know how to open the keyframe window when he goes to insert the X location keyframe, it's just right click when the cursor is hovering over the X location in the Transform tab. I fought with that too.

In 2.93 version the cube did not fall from the conveyor belt but continued to float after it came out of the belt. But the cube fell only if I uncheck the Animation option of the belt after the exit of the Cube. Request your suggestion.
When I changed the shape of the active object (cube) as 'Box' and the source of passive Belt Object as 'Base' it worked. In case of changing any parameters the active object continue to float in 2.93.

Hey, I have strange problem around 5:00 because i can't set a key frame (location can not be animated error) and also i dont have modifiers button around graph editor. Can you help me?
I’ve followed this tutorial now at least five times and I cannot get my cube to fall off the belt. It just keeps going and following the origin point of the belt off into the distance. It’s infuriating.
Obviously I am using the newest blender as I just started but how do I get the arrows on the Bezier Curve? I notice if I rotate my curve different it changes the bezier curve and nearly inverts the conveyor section.
Have you been able to make the conveyor? I'm having problems with the colision with the conveyor belt. If you don't would you mind sharing the proyect with me?
Easy fix! Go into the scenes tab on the right hand side of your blender window, next go into the rigid body world settings and change the cache end frame to whatever you'd like. 350 in this case :)
Im having an issue with the Bezier curve. I got the conveyor to work and wrap around it. But, I added dividers that keep materials on the conveyor. Around the curves the dividers are being stretched.. Any help or info on that?
I may not be right, but I did not put any loopcuts on my first cube which make up the conveyor belt. Before I had this streching around the corner too. So I did my array, applied it and without loopcuts it is fine.
You likely created the shape of the curve in the wrong direction. (try "extruding" it in the other direction) Im not sure if its a glitch but I believe I had the same problem when I was first sorting out how to do this. You also need to make sure "deforming" is checked under one of the modifiers
You need to extrude the curve the same direction I did at 1:30 otherwise it will move rigid bodies in the wrong direction. You can also try rotating the entire curve 180 degrees in edit mode of you dont want to start from scratch. I had this exact same issue when experimenting with making this effect work. Blenders curves can be quite finnicky unfortunately.
This is very inconsistent, sometimes it works, sometimes don't even though it has the same exact setting. The main problem is the object didnt fall but move along the x axis
Can someone give me some help? I follow every step but the cube keeps falling straight through the conveyor belt... I love the tutorial, but I am so confused and desperate now T_T
Thanks for watching! The reason for this is you created the curve in the wrong direction (clockwise instead of counterclockwise) I'm sure there's another way to fix it but the easiest method I found is to simply delete the curve and remake it in the other direction (only 4 vertices realistically)
