When I saw the announcement of Canon RF 28mm 2.8, I immediately pre-ordered it.
These scenes were shot right after I opened the box. It is nothing serious. I just wanted to get familiar with the lens and see if it would fit my style.
It is super early to have final thoughts but I really enjoyed using it. Hoping to make more videos with it. We'll see...
I have too many videos waiting to be edited. Just wanted to make a quick edit and share this one since it is a new lens and there is not much real footage shot with it on RUclips.

Hey Thank you! Yeah I just realized it's been a minute on YT :) More to come! To be honest I thing it is pretty average but I like average lenses :) AF is possibly the worst I have seen in an RF lens but still ok for my style.

Beautiful shots, looks like a movie. I have rf 24-70mm lens. It is superb lens but too big to carry my R6 with me all the time. It seams to me that with this 28 mm, I can enjoy my camera much more. Thank you for the video:-)

Beautiful! What kind of stabilization did you use? Just ibis or also digital or a gimbal?
Hey Thank u!!! It was all handheld, digital IS turned off. 3-4 shots on table tripod. If you don't see any kind of movement, those are with the tripod but only a few shots
@@barparildar Thanks so much for your reply! I am always amazed at the quality of your videos especially now knowing that most of them are purely handheld. Just another question if you don't mind me asking: do you prefer this 28mm focal length to something like 35mm or 24mm? It's not as popular as those two focal lengths, and I'm wondering whether you think it might have some advantages in the field of view compared to them.
@@stephenartner Hey anytime! So 28mm is a focal length I am super familiar with. At some point it was my only lens for Sony system. I used a 28mm prime only for almost 2 years. Not sure if I can say advantage or disadvantage compared to other focal lengths but I would prefer it over both being super used to a 28mm FOV

I am not sure if there is an adapter to use RF lenses on M mount. I have no experience with M Mount cameras
What mic setup did you have doing these shots?
It was the on camera mic. Didn't use an external mic
nice, i noticed there isnt any wobble
Wobble starts anything wider than 18mm usually

Hi! Well they are 2 completely different focal lengths. No one else can decide which one you would like to use more.
