Hello everyone!
Here comes my second video with the Canon RF 28mm f2.8!
First of all, I already sent the lens back. The reason is not that it is a bad lens or anything. I just don’t think I need it for now.
I use a circular polarizer 99% of the time and you probably know STM AF motors are not the best for using filters. I felt like AF performance was impacted more than any other RF STM lens I used. I had some focus hunting issues. Without a polarizer everything worked fine.
28mm is a super cool focal length IMO. If I am shooting someone else on a road trip or a hike it would be my lens of choice. I really love the look and feel. No issues on that end but for shooting myself I like a wider lens that I don’t have to run away from the tripod for getting a shot.
That weekend was special for me in terms of relaxing. RF 28mm 2.8 was a good companion. I drove along the coast and enjoyed the amazing vistas and I hope you enjoy watching as well.

Love the video! Which C-log are you shooting in? You only using CPL filters, no ND?

Thanks a lot! I use resolve for color. I start with color space transform node then basic corrections, and then add one of my luts depending on the style I want to create

So how you achieve it with this lense? Is it lots of post production or is this lense helping a lot to get this image! Just that I want to buy a good lense for my EOS - M canon that is able to deliver this kind of image so shall I buy this lense or not! Thx 🙏
Hi, this lens has nothing special other than being small and cheap. You can achieve a pretty similar if not better image with any other 28mm lens.

Hoya Digital Pro1 58mm CPL. Nothing special. I like the general quality of Hoya filters. I ordered the cheapest one I found on Amazon
