    As a XR owner. Just buy a floatwheel at this point. $3200 for a onewheel where they dont even explain the actual wattage increase is wild. Add in the fact they like to release updates that brick your boards or lock you in. Avoid at all costs. They are trying to pull an Apple or a John Deere on the common folk. Previous owners are already aware.

      I’ll stick to the company who doesn’t release a product that not only took forever but also made you pay with crypto which is ridiculous… Floatwheel was still trying to figure out quality plastic AFTER release… That kid is not number one in the industry. Worth has everything to do with what you value. If you love mountain biking and it brings you joy, you might spend $6,000+ on a bike. The same can be said for most sports or activities. This is a performance product. It may not be for everyone, but if you love riding Onewheel, it will be worth every penny and likely your favorite thing you own. Most Onewheel riders know they get far more value in good times and life experiences than what you pay for from your board.

    would like to see the actual power(W) numbers on the Y-axis, and speed(MPH) on the x-axis. Without numerical values it's hard to really interpret this graph and I feel like it could be potentially misleading. Without numerical labels, it's unclear what the scale represents. For example, a small change in the position of a line on the graph could represent a significant or trivial change in power, and viewers might not be able to discern this. Still love what you guys do, as a statistician just felt obligated to point this out.

    So what your telling me is that your engineers are either staging electronic advancement for extending higher end profits on your product.. Or your engineers are slow and learning the electronics they are applying. As in I dont feel they are following the leading edge new technology in electronics and applying to the board.. What exactly in the transistor technology /battery tech / or motor tech has moved forward to allow more power for this version? I hate how the word "New Technology" is used.. if anything is "New Advancements" in the same board! Its not new tech to know ohms law and that more volts or amps means more force or power..

    Have both XR and GT. Was lucky enough to buy GT in UK when price was still decent (beore price hikes). Also awaiting FloatWheel ADV with upgraded batery pack (dont need a pro). To be clear 3200 USD before tax is a rip-off, dont want to think how much it will be in UK !! Esp when you compare it to Float (whenever it's a knock-off or not) 1799 USD with pro battery. Floatwheel, at least, is fully upgradable, repairable, and Vesc based, so customizable and future proof. Also, comparing onewheel to iPhones to justify the inflated price is so lame. Apple at least offers generous trade-ins. Also, comparing to cars, LOL - lets be honest, no comment here. Just because i can afford a decent car does not mean i will sped 1000-nds to get onewheel. Time to convert my XR to vesc now!

In this "Which one to buy" video I have not heared a single point to which you are advising that GT will be better option than GTs, and to be clear for 90% of consumers / city cruisers it wil be as it has tons of power, better range, and its 1000 USD less expensive. With " wait for me I have little legs" points you are clearly trying to make GT waay weaker than it actually is and much worse purchase option which is not the case here!!!. You answered your own question there! The S Series is for performance, think of it as a track car or a track bike. Sure you could use it as your daily driver but it was built with the goal to create a truly performance Onewheel. If someone is just looking for a daily driver with range or just doesn't need all that performance we got options for them, Pint X is a great example. Perfect for around town, commuting to work, even some trail rides. Same reason not everyone needs a Subaru STI

Future Motion should tell us at what average speed and rider weight we should expect that range. I was lucky if I got 20 miles in warm weather and 16 miles in the cold.

    • @Onewheel
      @Onewheel  Год назад +1

      Hey Andrew, we'd like to clarify boards never "cut out" without warning. We have had Pushback in place to alert the rider of the upper limits of the board and we now have Haptic Buzz on top of that to alert you when you are reaching the upper levels of torque. That being said the S-Series has power for days which then increases the torque headroom you have as a rider. So it feels just as stable at speed as it does as a GT riding at a slower speed. But again if the board goes into Pushback or has Haptic Buzz it's important to respect them and lean back to slow down. As far as your comment on range there are so many factors that play into your range it's not quite a simple equation to determine your range. Your terrain, tire psi, rider weight, ambient temp, wind, average speed all play into your range. And as you can imagine that all varies from ride to ride.

      @@Onewheel If boards don't randomly cut out then I'm not sure how my last concussion happened. The ride stats said I was going 14mph on a flat walking trail. Next thing I knew I was being driven home. Thankfully I was wearing all the safety gear, had enough clarity to ask for a ride home, and had only a concussion and a scraped up shoulder. I was a rider that was in it for cruising and not doing tricks or drops. I do miss it and still watch community content and ORL, but after 3 big incidents and 2 concussions I had to move on. I accepted the inherit level of risk, but not being able to pin point a reason for the final incident, I can't continue to accept the risk. I understand there are a lot of factors that go into the range a rider can expect, but I've only encountered 5'6" petit riders that get the advertised range or more. I'm only asking for transparency on how the advertised range was calculated.

    But if you kept it at $2,200, it would be exactly $1,000 more for the S series. I guess when people see $2,350 they don’t see it as $1,000 difference but a little less

I have the torque pack, which you have to have a custom built battery box for and is currently the highest available torque battery for VESC, and it's 75volts. The CBXR is only 64volts, which was designed for range over torque. Apples and oranges here. Plus VESC comes with its own setbacks, like no lifetime odometer, having to wait 5 seconds after powering it on to ride it, and most importantly no headlight (there are ways to get a headlight, but good luck figuring it out).
