People are not driven, they're not motivated, they mostly work on habit and repetition. Talking to your trainees about what they did right or wrong doesn't yield particularly positive results. Actually, getting them to not pass judgement on whether they did right or wrong, and instead focusing technique, showing up, and actually enjoying the process of becoming stronger tends to yield better outcomes both in terms of physical results and the creation of long term healthy habits. BTW, please understand that the Buzz Feed guys are also sometimes in character and what they say doesn't necessarily reflect their understanding or thinking about the situation but it may be more focused on entertaining the audience.

Men have higher muscle tone and density. Muscle burns calories just being there and increases metabolism. Men are are also (generally) heavier than women, so burn more baseline calories just existing. Hope this helps

🌸 I like this trainer, when she said I want them to think about what they put into their mouth, not losing weight and feel healthy from inside (something like that), She had my attention 😳 I realised I do eat crappy foods from time to time, I do try to work out but not consistently Health is very important to me as I need to outlive my brother, he depends on me as he’s autistic and learning difficulties (from brain damage at birth) So this is it, chucking out my shit and buying vegetables, brown rice etc. Whipping out my Nana’s cooking book and memory of mom’s recipes I can do this, maybe not workout part 100% but I can start eating right 💕 I will start small with workout and build on bits I can manage, basically what works on my body I will let you know what I lost in about 3months, wish me luck (Dec, Jan & Feb.....but start now in 19th Oct)

Jenna Grande totally agree, my mom didn’t let me buy it as a kid. So I did it in secret. Sadly I developed a heart issue and shortness of breath, which I reversed. However it took a while. I’m so glad you are changing this to stay healthy 😊

As a naturally skinny person I don’t like to workout to be skinnier, but to feel confident and fit. When I say I want to workout people look at me all crazy and say “Why do you want to work out if you’re already skinny?!” But that makes me more insecure hearing it time after time. But above all this, working out gives you the boost of feeling confident about yourself. 💪🏼

I’m 5’1 and weigh between 93-99lbs because I have a good metabolism and I fluctuate with weight. I workout because it makes me feel better about myself and I feel more confident (which I’ve lost over the years). People think I’m younger than I am (18) because I’m naturally built small and it makes me feel like it’s not “right”.
If people look at you crazy for following through your dream, then that means you're doing something right. People will discourage and you will discourage yourself, but do not lose heart.

If your diet is not based off your specific goals it's not an intelligent one period. Plus with different metabolisms you have to take it into consideration. Like a diet for me would be hell to create for any dietian because I loose weight extremely fast and takes me weeks to put on weight that I loose and most diets could put me in a hospital. Like these are easy facts and if she did as she said and made seperate diets for each of them you have no idea how they change per person.

Honestly the best diet for anyone is one that is based on their goals and how their DNA is set up. Ance yes there are a plethora of companies in which people get that information. So technicially no diet functions the same for two different people and that's why it is unsafe for people to just jump on any diet without doing proper research. Similar to the fact every few years people should get allergy tests run because unlike DNA the results will and canchange over the years. Doo not get upset that I'm trying to provide you with valid and correct information. You don't know how she chose their diets or if she is even a certified dietitian. So why would you seek her advice instead of a doctor or rather for certain people a $35 test to figure out what would help you directly get to your goals. And they have different goals so her diets would be different for every person.

Even if someone who had the exact same goal as me ate what I eat regardless of portion sizes they will gain weight. I happen to lose 25-40 pounds a year while maybe occasionally putting on just 5 pounds and this is with eating 5x a day. I'm taking personal experience abd trying to educate you. I've lost 30 pounds in 2-3 weeks while eating normally and still more than any other person. Those is why I say you can't do the same thing for everyone

Not at all! I want to go to the gym and try to do something at the gym to be healthy.... But my anxiety won't ley me leave the car. There's no reason other than unknown zone and unknown people.
I was that way too and worked out in my tiny room for 6+ months before even working out anywhere else. Moved on to the living room next (where my roommates might see, yikes) and then eventually to a very empty park, then after 1+ year, going to the emptiest part of the gym. It's all a process! And looking back, it was all in my head. Nowadays if I'm "looking" at someone in the gym, it's not to judge them for being a noob. It's because I think they look really good/cute, if I'm eyeing their equipment and waiting for them to finish, or if I'm zoning out and looking in their direction.

Getting in shape was the best thing I ever did in my life. It’s always a rough start but after you break through the mental wall, exercising becomes like meditation. You become so in tune with your own body and it’s a wonderful thing.

I think it's because fast food and junk food is cheap and is everywhere in our lives. You're not alone- most of America struggles with it :). MyFitnessPal literally helped me recognize my bad eating habits and I planned my meals a lot better :)

That's how it is and for a lot of people eating that one cookie is where they give up and stop working out and go back to their old habits and diet. That one cookie feels like you lose all your progress.

Hey there! Everyone's body type is different but I'm 5'7 and when I was 158lbs I was pretty in shape. (I'm 167 now but am working to get it back down.) Just sharing to say that you may not need to lose as much as you think. I'm not a doctor though so just do what's healthy for you, good luck!

Stairs are my ultimate weakness. Even at my best (which isn't right now lol), they left me out of breath. I also dislike burpees and jumping exercises.
You can 'walk them out' till you get comfortable and ready to jump. So you just move your arms and legs without the jumping part/at a slower speed till it starts becoming easier.

For some people who don’t like some workouts there are a million different ones to choose from. You can do super fun things like gymnastics, acrobatics, aerial, cross fit, yoga, dancing in your living room, and so many more! Don’t feel stuck to an exercise that doesn’t make you happy.

K. Cathey Their results are pretty good, I won’t lie, but you can achieve the same results or even better without a personal trainer. You just need to be in a calorie deficit, have a solid meal plan, calories/macros and also a solid comprehensive workout routine, that combines cardio & weight training and most importantly, stay consistent. It can be difficult but it’s very doable. I mean, those girls lost 12 and 18lbs respectively in 2 months. I’ve lost 21lbs in 2 months and my starting weight was well below both of theirs. Not to compare, just to show you it’s achievable. It’s just down to consistency and determination. As much as I’d love a PT to give my butt into gear, I’m very self motivated and I know that I can do it on my own too.

I workout because it makes me feel better about myself and I feel more confident (which I’ve lost over the years). People think I’m younger than I am (18) because I’m naturally built small and it makes me feel like it’s not “right”.
I am a year late lol, but same for me. I want to get stronger, and more fit. It is one thing to be skinny, but another thing to be fit.
If people look at you crazy for following through your dream, then that means you're doing something right. People will discourage and you will discourage yourself, but do not lose heart.
God I wish I could afford her. I need someone like her to keep me motivated and on the ball. I always try to eat better and work out and have the best intentions but I always do it alone and I lose momentum so I give up.

If your diet is not based off your specific goals it's not an intelligent one period. Plus with different metabolisms you have to take it into consideration. Like a diet for me would be hell to create for any dietian because I loose weight extremely fast and takes me weeks to put on weight that I loose and most diets could put me in a hospital. Like these are easy facts and if she did as she said and made seperate diets for each of them you have no idea how they change per person.

Honestly the best diet for anyone is one that is based on their goals and how their DNA is set up. Ance yes there are a plethora of companies in which people get that information. So technicially no diet functions the same for two different people and that's why it is unsafe for people to just jump on any diet without doing proper research. Similar to the fact every few years people should get allergy tests run because unlike DNA the results will and canchange over the years. Doo not get upset that I'm trying to provide you with valid and correct information. You don't know how she chose their diets or if she is even a certified dietitian. So why would you seek her advice instead of a doctor or rather for certain people a $35 test to figure out what would help you directly get to your goals. And they have different goals so her diets would be different for every person.

@Babe Says No I'm saying that people trying to get fit or lose weight don't have to eat anything similar like at all. Its actually been proven. Even if someone who had the exact same goal as me ate what I eat regardless of portion sizes they will gain weight. I happen to lose 25-40 pounds a year while maybe occasionally putting on just 5 pounds and this is with eating 5x a day. I'm taking personal experience abd trying to educate you. I've lost 30 pounds in 2-3 weeks while eating normally and still more than any other person. Those is why I say you can't do the same thing for everyone

Not at all! I want to go to the gym and try to do something at the gym to be healthy.... But my anxiety won't ley me leave the car. There's no reason other than unknown zone and unknown people.
I was that way too and worked out in my tiny room for 6+ months before even working out anywhere else. Moved on to the living room next (where my roommates might see, yikes) and then eventually to a very empty park, then after 1+ year, going to the emptiest part of the gym. It's all a process! And looking back, it was all in my head. Nowadays if I'm "looking" at someone in the gym, it's not to judge them for being a noob. It's because I think they look really good/cute, if I'm eyeing their equipment and waiting for them to finish, or if I'm zoning out and looking in their direction.
It just sucks that women lose weight slower than men:( it makes me feel discouraged :(

Getting in shape was the best thing I ever did in my life. It’s always a rough start but after you break through the mental wall, exercising becomes like meditation. You become so in tune with your own body and it’s a wonderful thing.

I think it's because fast food and junk food is cheap and is everywhere in our lives. You're not alone- most of America struggles with it :). MyFitnessPal literally helped me recognize my bad eating habits and I planned my meals a lot better :)

Stairs are my ultimate weakness. Even at my best (which isn't right now lol), they left me out of breath. I also dislike burpees and jumping exercises.
So cardio basically
You can 'walk them out' till you get comfortable and ready to jump. So you just move your arms and legs without the jumping part/at a slower speed till it starts becoming easier.

For some people who don’t like some workouts there are a million different ones to choose from. You can do super fun things like gymnastics, acrobatics, aerial, cross fit, yoga, dancing in your living room, and so many more! Don’t feel stuck to an exercise that doesn’t make you happy.

Omfg! Their results after just EIGHT weeks is amazing. I wish I would have taken 'Before' photos when I stopped eating meat back in October.
This has motivated me to not just stop eating meat, but to watch what goes in my body.
K. Cathey Their results are pretty good, I won’t lie, but you can achieve the same results or even better without a personal trainer. You just need to be in a calorie deficit, have a solid meal plan, calories/macros and also a solid comprehensive workout routine, that combines cardio & weight training and most importantly, stay consistent. It can be difficult but it’s very doable. I mean, those girls lost 12 and 18lbs respectively in 2 months. I’ve lost 21lbs in 2 months and my starting weight was well below both of theirs. Not to compare, just to show you it’s achievable. It’s just down to consistency and determination. As much as I’d love a PT to give my butt into gear, I’m very self motivated and I know that I can do it on my own too.
