Bro, this sealed the deal for me. I am getting a DT rifle. What an incredible story. I loved the line “my brother in law had a degree that told him what he could and could not do. Thankfully, I didn’t have that degree.”

I wish I could show you his face when I walked in with the prototype rifles. His jaw hit the floor and he asked how I did it and I told him I didn't let anyone tell me I couldn't do it. :D

I would love to see a complete Trek-22 rifle as the gen2. Maybe work with Fletcher and their open top 11/22 to make it easier to clean, plus a metal rail for a more rugged zero.

Wow! Your vision and tenacity is what spoke to me. This is what caused you to succeed with a great product.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

Desert Tech should split the MDR family into large and small frame.
A combat reliable 5.56 (and .300blk) size bullpup. No fancy ejection, no .308 size and weight, no magazine inserts.
Just a lightweight, compact, reliable bullpup with a precision trigger. The gun the AUG and Tavor and L85 always wanted to be.
16" and 12" (and 8" 300blk) options. A little less modularity. Just reliable, compact and lightweight. Actually military ready technology.
Oh, and maybe an improved trigger pack. Maybe even work with Triggertech or Hiperfire. We would absolutely pay for even better triggers.
And then the big boy rifle for .308, 6.5creed and nowadays 8.6blackout.

@@nicholasyoungDT1 You know you guys have big competition in the next coming years. Amicus might not ever be released but you know that one other manufacturer is going to drop theirs eventually. All i'm wondering is have you guys developed some sort of ambi control for the trigger finger or even for the thumbs?

I remember meeting them at 2008 SHOT Show, then going out to SLC and checking them out. Very cool rifles that shot tight groups, multi-caliber capable.
SRS has come a long way since then.

Love the casual sit down chat! ❤ Back some time ago I had some gun ideas, and a few design suggestions, but the most interesting thing was when I got chills running down my spine , after I was told my hands had just handled something that John Moses Browning had built with his bare hands! 😮

I was at Knight's Armament then, in 1995 where Doug Olson said to me, "Come on, now is the time... Reeds gone to lunch, as he took me into Reed Knight's personal collection. There was this rusted out old looking antique machine gun that looked like the barrel jacket was chiseled , rather chewed by a beaver. Doug says to me go ahead touch it... What that old thing, as I brushed my fingers along it, Doug says John Moses Browning made that with his bare hands... This was also the same day I looked at the German FG42 and suggested to Doug why don't you make a rear sight like this, and Doug said that's a good idea... I think we will, and the rest is history... A year ago I saw Doug but he didn't remember or recognize me. He said do you know how many people have come through these doors since then? I said It's not important who I am, but that I remember you! I remember having supper with you , your cat, your dog and your wife who made the best German Chocolate Cake I've ever tested... I told Doug that I didn't know they went through 4 different prototype development designs on their 200m- 600m BUIS rear sight design I suggested... I told Doug however the day I suggested the idea I had a vision of it's final design they chose to settle on... none of the previous ones I'd seen... And I said something about after having the vision the rest was pretty much history after that! As Doug exclaimed the rest was History! "That's been the single most best selling item we made"! Doug told me...

Then you burned your entire reputation on poor QC, cheap Indian made parts and refusing to listen to what the customers want.
