@@mikeoscarone They both did, Andy McNab (aka Steve Mitchell and Mick Gould who was also former SAS) both trained the robbers in HEAT, Director Michael Mann has used Gould in several of his movies as a tech advisor. Mann also used several LAPD or LA Sheriff's police firearms instructors to train the actors playing the detectives separately so their tactics and gun handling manipulations would match appropriately to their roles the movies. Al Pacino wanted a full auto gun for the movie and got denied by Mann because it wouldnt be realistic to his role. Michael Mann is famous in all of his movies to having super realistic period accurate gun fights down to the round count of bullets fired per magazine. (Heat, Collateral, Miami Vice, etc)

1 point worth mentioning, the police actually have revolvers mostly. Hannah has a Colt Commander. This is the same kind of problem the cops had in the North Hollywood shootout. If the cops had glocks, they would have had a higher capacity and would have been able to reload faster. That puts me an even bigger disadvantage.

Legend has it that since the day his eyes first opened, Nicholas has never blinked. Whenever asked about why, he simply replies "who has time for blinking when there's so much future to see". His mother, in a later interview, stated that he read that on a fortune cookie when he was 7 and that is when he committed to sleep with his eyes always open and never blink again. It might be pure coincidence but the lucky numbers on that fortune were 4 4 4 4 4 and 53.
