Just a few words of feedback: watching you guys play with Matt and Nate through Rougarou some time ago made me buy into this game. That kind of content - playing with the designers - is exactly what I'm looking forward to on your channel. Matt is amazing at selling his idea of the game and does so with humour and grace. I think this kind of videos does wonders for the promotion of the game. Try to get that man to play with you more often, he's good at making this game just click in the viewer's head. Also, not finishing the scenario is great, leaving the grand finale for a surprise is very thoughtful of you. Only minor mistake in the whole video is you've put wrong attic card on the screen, but that's really minor. Great stuff and keep it coming!
Looks great, thank you for this showcase. Would actually love to get this Return to Box, but they are very hard to source now and quite the expense. Still appreciating all these older videos. Much love to all at TC.
I love this format and this is my favorite game, but given the nature of the game I’d rather see you run through an older scenario so you don’t spoil this one before I get the chance to go through it. Thanks for all the great content.
How have you guys promoted AH organized play in store? I just started a "season" at my local flgs, for forgotten age. End of each session, we compare xp earned from each group, highest group determines how the campaign moves forward. We are charging a nominal fee for the full season participation and store credit. With limited exclusive swag for freebies available, it doesn't lend itself as well for encouraging big participation numbers, compared to, say Netrunner or L5R. Relying mostly on player word of mouth and promotion.
I don't think they had a choice in who got engaged by the Ghoul Priest, Right? It has "Prey: highest fight" So it would engage Mateo rather than Ursula of it's own accord.
I am a first time buyer and player of your awesome game Arkham Horror The Card Game and have just purchased the complete Dunwich Legacy Cycle (Deluxe box with the 6 Mythos packs). Unfortunately, after that there are no cycles available to buy. Could you please answer a couple questions: 1) Do Fantasy Flight games still print the earlier cycles as I was wanting to buy "The Path To Carosa" cycle next? 2)Do the cycles have to be played in the correct order? E.g. I start with Dunwich Legacy Cycle but after that the only cycle available to buy in Australia is "The Dream-Easters Cycle". Can that be played next? 3) Is there any way of purchasing the older cycles if I live in Australia? Can the cycles be bought from Fantasy Flight games or another website and posted to Australia?
1) Earlier cycles routinely come back into print. If you just wait, eventually the items you're looking for will be back in stock. (Both on FFG's website itself and from secondary sources like local game stores.) 2) Cycles can be played in any order whatsoever. In fact, normally you begin a cycle with fresh level-0 investigator decks. When building/upgrading those decks, you can choose any investigator from any expansion you have, and can freely mix any player cards that you own from any expansion/pack (as long as you're not trying to include 'story assets' (like Lita Chantler) that are earned in the course of a campaign). (It's *possible* to "import" decks from one cycle to the next (assuming a deck's investigator survived it), but it generally makes the game much harder, because although the character will start with a heavily-upgraded deck, they will probably also start with a lot of added trauma/weaknesses that will make them more fragile in the next campaign. However, that's also the only way to keep story assets from a different cycle into the deck, so if you're really attached to those or want the weird glass-cannon challenge or want to watch the character die and get replaced, you might consider that.) 3) FFG's website does international shipping, but they warn that it's slow and expensive. You might be better off checking with local game stores.
Really enjoyed this format of video and the UI graphics etc. were all really well done. Just a bit sad I didn't get to see Matt run a Calvin deck to show off how he can be useful because I'm just seeing him as dead weight at the moment.
Thank you Therasan! We use Matte Dragonshields for everything! They are super durable and do not have any of the weird acids some do! Check them out here: teamcovenant.com/product/dragon-shield-card-sleeves-matte
Loved the video. Only painful thing was watching unsleeved cards being shuffled up, but when your the designer you can just grab a replacement box lol. I was wondering if the box could hold a sleeved campaign set. Will have to find out when it is released, but I love everything Arkham LCG so I will be getting it as soon as possible.
Recently got wasted by that first campaign with a pal and tried playing alone with another character, to try, and it was awfully cut short. Any hints for beginners as to how to handle all this horror? :P
Ahh. Now we know why Android Netrunner has not been pushed by FF... So sad. I think this must be a WotC decision, as it looks like until recently FF were pushing the game quite hard. Still think its one of the best games ever made though. I like what FF produce but nothing has yet come close to the Netrunner experience. I guess we now all wait on Valve's Richard Garfield designed 'Artifact'....
As a entertaimnent item this game is failure, playable only with those who own the copy of it and roughly know the rules. How can the rules be so complicated and unclear. I am game designer and sometimes force people to play my games but if I showed them this monster I would be burnt alive. Grimm rule?- c'mon, be more clear- how people gonna choose it, in what aspect- sometimes theoretically better solution is worse in the long run. How it is happen that after 3 months of playing I still dont know if when coming to location occupied by enemy whether the enemy immediatelly conducts the attack of opportunity or just engages to the player. There are tonnes of such unclearities. And do I really have to use youtube when playing every single game? And you can say "U so smart- design better one" and I did- simple card game of similar motives but with 6 pages of rules- even if there are 600 cards in a set with much more ingame options, easier setup and without any tokens, even notes... Good it has one important option which let it be playable- single mode, so I can treat it as a challenge against the game creators in beating their deed.
It doesn't seem like a failure, given its history! Enemies engage you when they enter the same location as you, or vice versa. They attack you during the Enemy Phase, as in the rulebook. They do Attacks of Opportunity when you take any action that isn't Fight, Evade, Parley, or Resign, as in the rulebook.
Try to play this game with your gramma or friends during some social evening. If they dont know the rules- you are done, never gonna start this game. Only for maniacs who know it well. As for this evasion- I knew there was sth wrong- the gameplay was too hardcore😅 (So far I played with the system - evading one of few enemies, let the remaining ones do attacks of opportunity- still somehow managed to throw lita into monster jaws) Nevertheless- there is something in this pile of cards...
I'm looking forward to the Forgotten Age and I enjoyed the questions about that campaign but I didn't feel this Return of the night of the zealot preview showed enough to make me want to buy it. It was a little fuller on content and there's some duplicate locations to randomize how things go but not enough was shown or said to really make me feel like buying it. I'll have to wait to hear some reviews once it becomes available.

Thank you! We are very pleased with the "play a game and interview" style video and will most likely continue to do so!
I wonder how well this comment has aged...
Arkham Horror TCG is definitely the best thing FFG is doing currently IMO. I play it way more than anything else in my collection.
phillosmaster Same here, bro. Always keeps my blood rushing.
Dito
The card and UI graphics in this vid are fantastic!
True. When they do that in their videos, Team Covenant videos are the best you can find. Their videos were the reason I got into Netrunner.
Thank you both so much!
Looks great, thank you for this showcase. Would actually love to get this Return to Box, but they are very hard to source now and quite the expense. Still appreciating all these older videos. Much love to all at TC.
Ahhhhhh the Frank & Peter Drawn to the Flame shout out nearly slayed me! :D thanks Matt! Fantastic video, TC superstars!
Most friendly chaos bag I've ever seen! Thanks for the video, great job Matt with Arkham LCG, my favorite game by far.
and he really didn't need to do any Father Mateo shenanigan to get the bag to be nice to him.
Haha "Is this going to be a common thing?" "We'll see!"
Thanks for the video. My two favorite things in one spot - playthrough and designer interview.
Your most welcome Keith, we really enjoy the new format. It is great to know you do as well.
I love Arkham Horror! It always makes me think of the poem "Do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas.
I was starting to think that TC has forgotten about Arkham LCG and then suddenly comes this. Thanks guys!
I love this format and this is my favorite game, but given the nature of the game I’d rather see you run through an older scenario so you don’t spoil this one before I get the chance to go through it. Thanks for all the great content.
9.08 - Proof these guys really play the game.... and yes, getting this to work is tough but how cool!
Really enjoyed this concept and the visualization ; great content.
Thanks Jan!
So excited for this product! Such a good idea
This was fantastic! I wanted to avoid spoilers, but I just couldn't help myself. Really great to see some Arkham content!
Thanks David!
35:15 So, without using an action one could - with that character - play that event card?
How have you guys promoted AH organized play in store?

Great question Matt, let us add an #AskCovenant tag and have the guys answer it in an upcoming 'cast!
The beards at this table are pretty great.
Love this video and Arkham. Keep it up!
Great video, guys! The upgrade looks quite good
Thank you!
Watching dude mash those sleeveless cards together hurts my soul...
Adam Sunt hurt me too. I couldn’t do that to my cards.
They got extra copies ;)
It's weird because they sleeves all the other cards, but not the player decks O_o
I don't think they had a choice in who got engaged by the Ghoul Priest, Right? It has "Prey: highest fight" So it would engage Mateo rather than Ursula of it's own accord.
Yeah you're correct on that - unless there's some kind of fight bonuses that are on the table.
This was fun. Thank you.
New player here, and loving this game!
Nicely done!
Thank you!

Forgot to put "Far above the Attic" into play.
Jim Lederer they actually have the other attic in play. Not the one that they show. It has different number of clues too.
The ending. Did you win?!
Dave Grohl, stop hiding under that pseudonym. We know it's you.
How the hell are they moving into the guest hall- the symbols don’t match. I thought that means they aren’t connected.
The study has the black symbol. What you talking about?
What happened with the graphic for the attic? It doesn't seem to match the actual card that was revealed.
We will look into it! Thanks Anthony.
Team Covenant No problem. Thanks for the awesome playthrough!
The game looks amazing. Just bought it thanks to this video. What sleeves do you use? MTG innersleeves are to slick i guess.
Thank you Therasan! We use Matte Dragonshields for everything! They are super durable and do not have any of the weird acids some do! Check them out here: teamcovenant.com/product/dragon-shield-card-sleeves-matte
Thanks for the fast reply! also subbed. love these kind of vids!
That is awesome! Thank you !!

It seemed like it would, for sure. Not 100%, but that box is big.
I play and don't sleeve yet. It's the core box so..
Is that thing an addon or can we play it independently?
Edit: addon it is, and nice having that box, they should offer that more often.
We agree, it is a great product!
Recently got wasted by that first campaign with a pal and tried playing alone with another character, to try, and it was awfully cut short.
Any hints for beginners as to how to handle all this horror? :P
is nate french still working on arkham or has he be reassigned to another project?
We are pretty sure Nate doesn't work on any one game. We think he is more of an advisor on every project.
Great stuff... as usually :D
Thanks Matyas!
Mash shuffling habit, without sleeves.
Can we get some more L5R or is that just me?
Brien Moylan He's wearing the L5r shirt! I was waiting for a covert L5r spoiler.
More netrunner content pls
"...more harder than normal..." WUT
Ahh. Now we know why Android Netrunner has not been pushed by FF...

Someone please tell me if this is spoiler free?!?
Andrew Yim nope
If you start something, finish it! So far there is no real surprises to warrant piking.
They loss me when they start to shuffle their decks!
20-25$ for 60 cards while you can get over hundred for pathfinder for just 12-17$
The shuffling of those cards is cringeworthy
