Hey Dale. Mate a few years have passed since you made this vid but my wife and I started playing last night and this was super helpful. Love your vids. Have rescued me more than once :) Happy new year to you. Best wishes from Australia.
Great video. The pacing is perfect and the way you present information is extremely eloquent. While this may not be spoiler friendly, in my opinion your video MUCH better way to learn the game than other tutorials out there. Thanks for putting this out there!
Oh no! Forgot Roland’s reaction after defeating the ghoul at 7:45? Roland has: “After you defeat an enemy: Discover 1 clue at your location. (Limit once per round.)”
@@DaletheCasualGamer eventually, you might find yourself lingering in a high shroud location, waiting for an enemy to appear, just so you can get a clue from the kill... :-)
Trapped in the rabbit hole that is Dale the Casual Gamer. Not only are your Marvel Champions videos great, I'm going to delve into this in October while my Achilles heals. Once again, great channel and keep the great videos coming.
@Scott Walton Haha!! That's my goal, spread the board gaming love so I don't feel guilty being the only person buying too many games. :D Hope your surgery and healing goes well!!
I don't understand the note at 21:51. Why would the chaos token have caused an extra damage? You drew the skull. It's the stone token that causes 1 damage if there is a ghoul at your location.
Thanks Dale this should be required not just suggested viewing for any newbie trying to get a sense of game play - I agree with other commentators pacing excellent. I think that protecting cards with sleeves makes sense wondering what brand and size do you use? Any other organizational hints or must haves do you suggest? Also a future video showing deck building with say the Dunwich expansion would round out essential education - the prebuilds of the 4 player repacking of the core set wonderfully has these prebuilt to get one up and running but the integration of a new module is a piece missing in Newbie education... appreciate your efforts for a fine video...
I am sorry but cannot watch more videos of that, cause I plan to buy a game. Enjoy the content and looking forward to this game, what do you think so far?
I love this game. Don't forgets Roland's ability, once you killed that ghoul it activated you getting that clue. 75% of this game is tempo. Next playthrough, if Lita comes out, she doesn't count as an ally slot either.
Thanks! Curious, do you typically play solo with just one or two investigators? I’m hoping to be able to stay with one, but assume that limits character options.
@@DaletheCasualGamer playing 3 player with wife and Son through Dunwich. You can play two handed, just have to up the level of the chaos bag. I believe you'll find that in the rules. They do this because you'll know the hands each investigator has.
@Boone R You can find them at www.uberstax.com , I also did a video highlighting them at ruclips.net/video/HBNRANBuKS4/видео.html Hope that helps, and happy gaming!
@Evran Halavut As a "casual gamer", if the Priest 'forgot' to hit you, it's too late at the end of the campaign. :D Or play again. You win either way. :)
What do you think so far? I tried solo with Roland my first run and found it very difficult. I reset and had Daisy join him. She has high agility and can evade better than Roland. The strategy that I try to employ with her is to keep the two of them together and let Daisy evade the monsters. If she is successful it taps the monster keeping it from attacking or moving for the turn. Then you can tee off on them and let Roland deal the kill hit to gain a clue. Works “sometimes” :-). I play on regular difficulty and to me it’s really hard to do well. FYI... It took me two months to find a copy of “The Miskatonic Museum”. It’s the third pack “ I think” in the next cycle “The Dunwich Legacy”. I have Shadowrift on the table right now so I haven’t delved into the DLegacy yet. Hey, can you put a link to the capsules you have for the tokens? Those would be nice to have. Keep em coming.
@XHuntinatorX It's pulled me in for now! :) I'm hoping to be able to play with just one investigator, but feel that may be problematic on some scenario's and really limit options of people to play. Do you think true solo is viable, or should I plan to double up for the Dunwich Legacy?
@@DaletheCasualGamer IMHO, you're definitely going to need to bring another investigator if you want to succeed. Roland is almost a glass cannon - his low sanity has been an impediment for me.
Dale the Casual Gamer ... I had a hard time with just Roland but I’m not very experienced with the game. I played through the core set so that’s all I have to draw from. You’ll be passed that soon. I do think it’s fun to play two handed because it opens up more strategic options and interaction between investigators... again this is from someone with limited experience. Looking forward to more AH.
Thanks for watching! They are UberStax and you can find purchase information for them at www.uberstax.com . I also did a video highlighting them at ruclips.net/video/HBNRANBuKS4/видео.html and a handy attachment tray at ruclips.net/video/dyC9jiuOrwc/видео.html . Hope that helps and happy gaming! :)
@Professor Floop They are coin protectors (for quarter sized coins I think - 25mm). They work well, and I like the added noise they make in the bag. :)
Re-watching your AH playthrough, great stuff! Are you going to make more? I'd love to see the return to versions of this and dunwich or edge of the earth next :)
I took a quick look at the rules, if the location is not in play, it will get discarded. But if the room is in play it will spawn there, and you got lucky. :)
I got some 25mm coin holder capsules. They seem to fit perfectly. Here's an amazon link. Hope that helps! They also work for Arkham Horror the Board Game. :) www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CQFPK3L/
Caution: not all 25mm ones fit! If you want to be on the safe side get 26mm. I had 25mm Lindner brand and it destroyed my tokens trying to get them in. (Luckily I have two core sets.)

Will do. Thanks for watching!
You get to replace your weakness for free, and then mulligan. That said, your opening hand was quite strong.
Thanks! Good to know.
Thank You, best play throughs by far.
@Richard Sherman Thanks for watching! :)
Very entertaining playtrough. One thing to note. On Act 2 you do Not have to advance immediately instead take the time to prepare for the Ghoul Priest
I thought he'd be wimpier ... hopefully I'll live long enough to learn from my mistakes. ;)
Thanks for watching!
The ghoul priest kicked my ass last night 😢
When the Ghoul Priest came in at the end of your turn, should it not have attacked in the monster phase before the upkeep?
Very good decision getting the Elder Sign Amulet. You will get more mileage out of Roland with it than anything else... IMHO of course :-).
Thanks! We’ll need all the help we can get! :)
I'm big fan of you because you play arkham horror lcg and marvel champion lcg
Best game of my life

TBH i am so glad to got out of the LCG scene, especially with the announced price hikes.
It's a bit better than CCG's ... but still requires a budget. :)
