College makes you feel like if you fail one thing your life is over and I HATE that feeling so much! I'm trying to talk to counselors I've never failed a class before. I'm just really bad at this subject.
I've felt like I'm really bad at subjects, and I hope I seem a little credible seeing as I've retaken several classes, but sometimes it wasn't that I was bad at the subject. Sometimes classes are disorganized or the information is presented in a way that's difficult to absorb and recall. Of course, discipline and willingness to spend time and effort also come into play, but I personally had to recognize it wasn't solely my fault for performing badly. That doesn't mean placing blame elsewhere, but it helps to evaluate your situation and see everything else that affects how well you do. Having a better situation usually gives results closer to the ones you want.

Yeah... I’m definitely getting a job and I’m studying full time and all. This Christmas vacations, I’m writing all the stuff I need to do, objectives, motives, etc.
I just failed for the first time in college ever. It's a Statistics (math) class. The teacher didn't update our grades until after half way through the semester so nobody knew how they were doing until it was pretty much too late.

I really relate to this right now. I know you made this over a year ago, but fall term 2017 just ended for me and I failed two classes. Thank you. I just failed my first college class it’s quantitative reasoning and the teacher was not a help at all I didn’t understand the work and it was online. I feel like such a failure but seeing how many people relate to me makes me feel safe. I hope we all can leave these failures in the past and grow in the future for the better of ourselves.

I’m going through a very similar situation. This video helped me a lot. I failed 2 classes this semester because I couldn’t keep up with the work & kind of gave up too. Life was too crazy- I wanted to drop them but I missed the deadline for dropping courses. I felt like shit for letting this happen, but you really encouraged & inspired me. Thank you💕
I've just found out I failed my college algebra class (A class which everyone in there thought was simple) and I feel TERRIBLE mostly just only because I feel like Ive wasted my fathers money. At my school it's not that expensive, but still wasted like $500 on failing this class. I never failed a class in my life. But thank you for making this video i can definitely relate. I'm sitting at C's for all 3 of my classes and honestly the semester hasnt been going well for me. My attendance has been terrible and I have a bad habit of closing myself up in situations like this. I give time to others and put my desires above what is important and needed to be done. I know I need to get through college and work to support myself and family. It feels bad, like real bad
I felt this HARD. I’m an aerospace major and my first semester of college alone I’ve failed 3 classes... Physics, Calculus, and Computer Science, three things absolutely crucial to being an engineer. My dad’s called me a failure. I feel like one. But regardless, I won’t stop. I’m going to fix my GPA.
@@Owlette03 I ended up on academic suspension and had to take an indefinite leave of absence after I had a really bad depressive episode after getting survivor’s guilt from a mass shooting that happened back in March. American problems am I right? I moved back in with my parents and I’ve been driving for DoorDash ever since. It’s not really the most fulfilling job. Living with my folks again I feel like I’m back in high school but without any of the redeeming aspects of high school. I hope I can go back to school someday.
@@TheBryanScout you definitely can. You got this and as it sounds, you want your education. There are so many opportunities so in the mean time, take them. Engineering right(me too)? Up your coding skills in the mean time. Maybe even go back, change major, and do engineering subjects on your own time. The feelings you have from those experiences are valid. America really has some problems, but we as Americans have to fix it😭..
I wish you much strength this semester. You are amazing. Simply making it into Berkeley is amazing. Of the 2000 kids in my highschool, The number of kids who could truly speak of feats comparable to yours I can count on one hand. 5 to 2000. Top 0.25%. You earned that spot, so be proud of yourself. thank you for this video. i really needed to hear this right now. i'm a freshman in college who thought i could take 18 credits (5 classes) in my second semester of college and pass. i'm currently failing 3/5 of my classes and i'm for sure going to be put on academic probation. i've never really failed an entire class before, and i'm not even sure how to feel about my future in general. what's worse is that my only support system is my family and they're not than supportive and are probably more disappointed than they've ever been, and my friends aren't exactly very sympathetic either. i was going to make a video about how failing my classes is going too, but thank you for sharing your experience. it really does help to know that i'm not alone in failing and being where i'm at right now. even though idk you personally, you're definitely someone i wish i did because you've handled this better than i am right now. much love!!

I’m in a similar situation. I’m in my first semester in college, and I’m failing 3/4 of my classes. I went from being a straight A student for all of my academic life to failing college. I can’t tell my family about it no matter what because the disappointment is going to be immeasurable.

im so glad u decided to post this video and share your feelings with us. i came on here looking for someone to relate to and i found it. ive never failed a college class and now as a senior ive had to withdraw from one and im struggling with two others… its like you said, i gave up. I was struggling with my mental health and it made it rlly difficult to get through school this semester. i still have to tell my parents that ill no longer to graduating in the fall and will have to do another semester instead. it rlly sucks. im trying to not let myself fall into a dark place again because of this though. im trying to make a lesson out of it instead. thanks again for sharing! i needed to hear your little pep talk to urself !

It really sucks to be in this position, and it's hard to feel hopeful. I definitely felt like giving up many times, but I was able to get accommodations when I sought them out. I barely scraped through. I just wanna say I've been where you are, and you can get through it.
With the whole quarantine thing going on and only having online classes, I am currently struggling a LOT. I haven't gone to any of my online lectures. I started out trying to do all of my homework, then I started skipping a few minor assignments, and then I started simply not checking my courses enough and missing bigger assignments on accident. Today I realized I accidentally missed an online class where I was supposed to do a final presentation, which I thought was 2 days from now. I am in similar situations with all my classes.
I did the same thing for Spring semester. I skipped classes but somehow I managed to pass them all with Cs and Bs. Moreover, my stubborn self decided to take summer classes (all of them online) and I have not done any work for any of those classes. I have finals tomorrow and I have accepted the fact I’m going to fail these classes. I won’t go hard on myself because I was also working full-time and working out 3h+ every day (I plan to become a competitive powerlifter) however I know that I could have used my weekends and some time before going to bed to do homework and studying. The thing I always tell myself that helps me when I feel the world is gonna end is that as long as I’m alive there’s hope I can still succeed.
A few hours ago I just missed a final and there were 2 assignments that I just gave up on in another class because I was failing anyway. I am sure my GPA is in the trash now but I am trying to get better for the future...

I know exactly how you feel. I failed a class last semester and my mom was livid. I felt ashamed and tried to do better this semester, but I found out that I am failing another class and that there’s nothing I can do to change it. (I’m a film major and I’m taking religious studies as a gen ed, which is what I’m failing in)

Thank you for this comment. I know it's not a great situation to be in, but feeling less alone can be so reassuring. We have to acknowledge that people have individual, unique experiences, and what may not be hard for others can be incredibly difficult for some. College is hard, that's a fact. And I believe we should give ourselves credit for the efforts we put in and push past the efforts we didn't. We'll get to our goals eventually.

Success is subjective... I would say by many standards I am not doing fantastically, but for me, I'm proud of where I am and what I have accomplished. The difficulties continue for sure, but there's still some optimism in me.

I just failed one subject and it's a major one. Statistics. I dont understand why my prof approved our study just to tell us that its wrong during presentation. Man this sucks so much. I feel like i didnt deserved this. I dont even know what to do now

Out of my 17 classes that I have taken so far I have failed 5 classes (stem courses) I had to take one class twice which was calculus. Now it's haunting me. I want to die.
This semester I’m failing one class and the others are fine and it makes me so sad....because not only are my parents helping me pay for my tuition but I know I could’ve passed it
I went through this too, but the way my family acted ruined my self esteem. Even in my first semester, I worked hard, and instead they told me that I couldn't do it and overloaded my schedule with events when I had to study. I ran out of time, and the hopelessness made it harder to push through, their comments made me give up and resort to entertainment to cheer up, to the point where I started entertaining myself all day and hardly studying for an hour or two a day on average. When I failed, they continued to taunt me for it. It's been two years and I feel worthless and don't have the same confidence, energy, and drive that I did as a high schooler. Being Asian doesn't mean you're smart. It means that when something is thrown at you and you do not know how to cope with it, you are criticised harshly to the point where you are no better than a lazy bum. Who knows? Maybe that lazy bum had ambition and was wasted the same way?

ironic that chem is your major and something that you passed this semester, chem is actually the one class i struggle with a lot 😂 i just got out of my acs final and feel like shit, but this video really helped me get over the feeling of “my life is over” when it comes to failing a class. i went through a lot of mental health struggles this semester and now i know what i need to do to be better in class and in my personal life to succeed.
Ever since this pandemic started I feel like my mental health and ability to focus has dropped at least 30 percent. I started taking online classes this spring and only passed 2 out of my 3 classes but those two didnt really count towards my GPA. I eventually took 3 summer classes and I did terrible in them, I lacked the energy or willingness to do anything school related, I was so lazy even in my personal life, it was just a mess man🤦🏿♂️I know people usually say just dont procrastinate but it's harder said than done
I was tearing up before watching this video. Basically, I'm a second year college student studying at Qatar University and my major is electrical engineering. This semester Spring 2019, has been the worst semester ever. I took 6 classes (16 credits) - Physics 2, Physics 2 lab, Calc 3, Essay Writing 1 (an easy A subject I chose ) , Linear Algebra and Electric Circuits. I have never failed a single course in my entire life before (both high school and college). However, this semester I failed calculus 3 miserably and I'm so disheartened and angry and most probably will fail general physics 2 cuz the professor's too strict in marking and our university does not follow the curve system. Moreover, my physics 2 peers and I struggled in this course hard enough and our prof always gave us tough quizzes midterms, and even the final was too hard. I don't know if I should continue in electrical engineering or not. I truly loved electric circuits this semester and my overall performance in that course has been pretty good and I might end up with a B because our professor knew how to teach and his assistant was not harsh in grading.

Today I've failed a course based on my favorite subject. I'm so hurt, sad, and angry over this and I dont know how long I can hold it. I know it's just a class but it's based on something I love and I failed it. It was Calculus. I'm never gonna feel the same for a while now. I hate it when I failed. whenever it happens I'm in my own world fill with fear and lost. All I can do now is cry on this shame

I'm so sorry to hear that. I really wish I could tell you what to do next, and I know it's uncomfortable to sit with uncertainty. If you're able to talk to an academic advisor, I would highly suggest it, but know you might not hear what you want to hear. On the flip side, you might hear something you didn't know about that will make things much easier. Take a chance and talk to someone and get some perspective, you might have options you don't yet know about!

I know it's tough. I'm going through a pretty rough time right now, but my counselor always repeats to me that failing classes doesn't make you a failure. Even if you retake them or end up going on a different path or just take a longer time getting to where you want to be as a result, it's not a bad thing. I know this isn't really advice, but know that you have options!

Hey, May: I hope you made it. Don't let this world get the best of you. I admire people that get accepted into universities. My brother went to USC (Southern California). I was really happy for him. I've never been to a university because my grades sucked, and I really can't afford to pay for college. I used to go to Pasadena City College. I went there for a semester and, after a few months, I stopped showing up for my classes and they dropped me. I took 4 classes and the teachers dropped me just because I stopped showing up for class---can you believe that? 😉 I did manage to pass this one math class, though.

I am about to fail my English class for being late and absent all the time. I didn't do bad, but my Professor was really serious about attendance and I kind of just forgot. I'm gonna lose my scholarship money and I'm going to have to drop two of my classes next semester since I won't be able to afford them.

I would highly recommend talking to your professor and/or an advisor. I struggled with a class and falling behind, and I reached out to the professor who gave me some encouraging words. Sometimes they're able to suggest resources that will allow you to catch back up, and other times they may recommend you take an Incomplete for the course. There are several options, but you should reach out to someone to find out exactly what they are and what's best for you. Good luck!

Hi from Brazil, May. I'm feeling so bad because the same thing Just happened to me. My course is chemical engeneering and I failed in Calculus 2, Algebra and general chemistry(again). I love to read and study, but im feeling so out of place and bad that i cant do that right now. Everyday when i wake up I remember the mistakes that i made at that exames, while my classemates got A's and B's. Bisides, i'm 22 right now and cant Stay in college for more them Five years. (English isnt my First language).
Hi Marco. I think it's important to remember that even though you have a passion for reading and studying, it can be really hard to feel that passion when you're not feeling good. I really relate to constantly thinking about the mistakes I've made all the time, but I've gotten a little better at focusing on what I can do now instead of what I did in the past. It takes a lot of effort and practice, but eventually you can get to a place where you feel good about learning again. I'm really sorry I don't know how to help or what to say, especially in your case of being unable to stay in college for more than five years, but I'm sure there's someone who knows what to do, like an academic adviser or counselor. It never hurts to reach out, and I hope things turn out okay

I've received 1 D and 2 NPs. The 2 NPs were for 2 classes that I switched from Graded to P/NP so that I would be able to retake them. As long as you're able to retake classes (which may push back your graduation, and I know that isn't ideal), you will probably be okay! As you may have read in other comments, I highly recommend speaking to some sort of advisor who will have better feedback for your situation.
Hi I'm pretty literally in the same exact situation (I'm also a chemistry major at UC Berkeley who failed Math 54 and Chem 15) and I know this video is kinda old but it really helps to know I'm not alone in this kind of situation especially because CoC is really intimidating and it seems like everyone else has their shit together... anyways thanks for making my day better and bring some comfort to my sad situation
CoC sucks, and everyone is stressed all the time. After three and some years and talking to a lot of classmates, we all agree it's not a very encouraging place to be. I actually work in the stockroom, so who knows, I might have seen you as a Chem 15 student. That's kind of weird to think about. I'm glad you don't feel so alone, and know that everyone struggles, especially in CoC.
This is likely dependent on your college. For mine, they use the grade given after retaking the class. You would have to ask an academic advisor on this one.

Pretty sure I'm going to fail my crime scene photography class... pisses me off so much. I had to take it online and take pictures with my cell. It was surprisingly harder than you'd think. I thought my final would be an actual written exam and it turned out to be a photography thing... god I wish he would have made it a written one because I would have passed! Grrr!! My biggest worry is my financial aid and the fact that I have to take a semester off... hugs!!

I understand that it's frustrating. I wouldn't go so far as to say the A doesn't matter. You should take credit for whatever that A is worth. Feeling like a failure will pass. You have to keep moving forward though. Don't let it hold you back.
I did no have much trouble and college, and rarely studied. it seemed to come naturally to me. That's why it is so important to find what you want to do early. In that way, you will see your future self.
I really suggest talking to an academic advisor on this one. It depends on what else that credit/no credit or fail will affect later on. But in my opinion, there's nothing wrong straight up taking the fail.
I’m at the exact position I’m at mechanical technician student and parent wanted me to earned more money learning about cars. But repairing cars isn’t really my thing. Before applying to college I was interested in painting cars. Now I feel like I’m going to fail my classes because I don’t know any of this stuff and they say your supposed to have experienced fixing cars when I haven’t touch a car to fix. Idk what to do.Should I drop out? Also I have never worked and never failed a class before.
That sounds like a difficult situation. I'm sorry you're going through that. But it doesn't sound like you've already failed your classes. It might be worth continuing, but if you feel sure you don't enjoy what you're doing, you should talk to someone about it. I'm not sure who the best person to reach out to would be in your case, so I'm sorry I can't offer more advice.

I just failed for the first time in college ever. It's a Statistics (math) class. The teacher didn't update our grades until after half way through the semester so nobody knew how they were doing until it was pretty much too late.

Thank you. I just failed my first college class it’s quantitative reasoning and the teacher was not a help at all I didn’t understand the work and it was online. I've just found out I failed my college algebra class (A class which everyone in there thought was simple) and I feel TERRIBLE mostly just only because I feel like Ive wasted my fathers money. At my school it's not that expensive, but still wasted like $500 on failing this class. I never failed a class in my life. But thank you for making this video i can definitely relate. I'm sitting at C's for all 3 of my classes and honestly the semester hasnt been going well for me. My attendance has been terrible and I have a bad habit of closing myself up in situations like this. I give time to others and put my desires above what is important and needed to be done. I know I need to get through college and work to support myself and family. It feels bad, like real bad

I felt this HARD. I’m an aerospace major and my first semester of college alone I’ve failed 3 classes... Physics, Calculus, and Computer Science, three things absolutely crucial to being an engineer. @@Owlette03 I ended up on academic suspension and had to take an indefinite leave of absence after I had a really bad depressive episode after getting survivor’s guilt from a mass shooting that happened back in March. American problems am I right? I moved back in with my parents and I’ve been driving for DoorDash ever since. It’s not really the most fulfilling job. Living with my folks again I feel like I’m back in high school but without any of the redeeming aspects of high school. I hope I can go back to school someday.
@@TheBryanScout you definitely can. You got this and as it sounds, you want your education. There are so many opportunities so in the mean time, take them. Engineering right(me too)? Up your coding skills in the mean time. Maybe even go back, change major, and do engineering subjects on your own time.

thank you for this video. i really needed to hear this right now. i'm a freshman in college who thought i could take 18 credits (5 classes) in my second semester of college and pass. i'm currently failing 3/5 of my classes and i'm for sure going to be put on academic probation. i've never really failed an entire class before, and i'm not even sure how to feel about my future in general. what's worse is that my only support system is my family and they're not than supportive and are probably more disappointed than they've ever been, and my friends aren't exactly very sympathetic either. i was going to make a video about how failing my classes is going too, but thank you for sharing your experience. it really does help to know that i'm not alone in failing and being where i'm at right now. even though idk you personally, you're definitely someone i wish i did because you've handled this better than i am right now. much love!!

I’m in a similar situation. I’m in my first semester in college, and I’m failing 3/4 of my classes. I went from being a straight A student for all of my academic life to failing college. I can’t tell my family about it no matter what because the disappointment is going to be immeasurable.

It really sucks to be in this position, and it's hard to feel hopeful. I definitely felt like giving up many times, but I was able to get accommodations when I sought them out. I barely scraped through. I just wanna say I've been where you are, and you can get through it.
With the whole quarantine thing going on and only having online classes, I am currently struggling a LOT. I haven't gone to any of my online lectures. I started out trying to do all of my homework, then I started skipping a few minor assignments, and then I started simply not checking my courses enough and missing bigger assignments on accident. Today I realized I accidentally missed an online class where I was supposed to do a final presentation, which I thought was 2 days from now. I am in similar situations with all my classes.
I did the same thing for Spring semester. I skipped classes but somehow I managed to pass them all with Cs and Bs. Moreover, my stubborn self decided to take summer classes (all of them online) and I have not done any work for any of those classes. I have finals tomorrow and I have accepted the fact I’m going to fail these classes.
I won’t go hard on myself because I was also working full-time and working out 3h+ every day (I plan to become a competitive powerlifter) however I know that I could have used my weekends and some time before going to bed to do homework and studying.
The thing I always tell myself that helps me when I feel the world is gonna end is that as long as I’m alive there’s hope I can still succeed.
A few hours ago I just missed a final and there were 2 assignments that I just gave up on in another class because I was failing anyway. I am sure my GPA is in the trash now but I am trying to get better for the future...

I felt ashamed and tried to do better this semester, but I found out that I am failing another class and that there’s nothing I can do to change it. Thank you for this comment. I know it's not a great situation to be in, but feeling less alone can be so reassuring. We have to acknowledge that people have individual, unique experiences, and what may not be hard for others can be incredibly difficult for some. College is hard, that's a fact. And I believe we should give ourselves credit for the efforts we put in and push past the efforts we didn't. We'll get to our goals eventually.

Success is subjective... I would say by many standards I am not doing fantastically, but for me, I'm proud of where I am and what I have accomplished. The difficulties continue for sure, but there's still some optimism in me.

Out of my 17 classes that I have taken so far I have failed 5 classes (stem courses) I had to take one class twice which was calculus. Now it's haunting me. I want to die.
This semester I’m failing one class and the others are fine and it makes me so sad....because not only are my parents helping me pay for my tuition but I know I could’ve passed it
I went through this too, but the way my family acted ruined my self esteem. Even in my first semester, I worked hard, and instead they told me that I couldn't do it and overloaded my schedule with events when I had to study. I ran out of time, and the hopelessness made it harder to push through, their comments made me give up and resort to entertainment to cheer up, to the point where I started entertaining myself all day and hardly studying for an hour or two a day on average. When I failed, they continued to taunt me for it. It's been two years and I feel worthless and don't have the same confidence, energy, and drive that I did as a high schooler. Being Asian doesn't mean you're smart. It means that when something is thrown at you and you do not know how to cope with it, you are criticised harshly to the point where you are no better than a lazy bum. Who knows? Maybe that lazy bum had ambition and was wasted the same way?

ironic that chem is your major and something that you passed this semester, chem is actually the one class i struggle with a lot 😂 i just got out of my acs final and feel like shit, but this video really helped me get over the feeling of “my life is over” when it comes to failing a class. i went through a lot of mental health struggles this semester and now i know what i need to do to be better in class and in my personal life to succeed.

Ever since this pandemic started I feel like my mental health and ability to focus has dropped at least 30 percent. I started taking online classes this spring and only passed 2 out of my 3 classes but those two didnt really count towards my GPA. I eventually took 3 summer classes and I did terrible in them, I lacked the energy or willingness to do anything school related, I was so lazy even in my personal life, it was just a mess man🤦🏿♂️I know people usually say just dont procrastinate but it's harder said than done
I was tearing up before watching this video. Basically, I'm a second year college student studying at Qatar University and my major is electrical engineering. This semester Spring 2019, has been the worst semester ever. I took 6 classes (16 credits) - Physics 2, Physics 2 lab, Calc 3, Essay Writing 1 (an easy A subject I chose ) , Linear Algebra and Electric Circuits. I have never failed a single course in my entire life before (both high school and college). However, this semester I failed calculus 3 miserably and I'm so disheartened and angry and most probably will fail general physics 2 cuz the professor's too strict in marking and our university does not follow the curve system. Moreover, my physics 2 peers and I struggled in this course hard enough and our prof always gave us tough quizzes midterms, and even the final was too hard.
I don't know if I should continue in electrical engineering or not. I truly loved electric circuits this semester and my overall performance in that course has been pretty good and I might end up with a B because our professor knew how to teach and his assistant was not harsh in grading.
I failed one of my classes last semester and it did made me feel awful about myself to the point where I cried. Thanks for making this video, I'm slowly feeling better about myself now and about what happened. I wish you the best👍

Today I've failed a course based on my favorite subject. I'm so hurt, sad, and angry over this and I dont know how long I can hold it. I know it's just a class but it's based on something I love and I failed it. It was Calculus. I'm never gonna feel the same for a while now. I'm so sorry to hear that. I really wish I could tell you what to do next, and I know it's uncomfortable to sit with uncertainty. If you're able to talk to an academic advisor, I would highly suggest it, but know you might not hear what you want to hear. On the flip side, you might hear something you didn't know about that will make things much easier. Take a chance and talk to someone and get some perspective, you might have options you don't yet know about!

I know it's tough. I'm going through a pretty rough time right now, but my counselor always repeats to me that failing classes doesn't make you a failure. Even if you retake them or end up going on a different path or just take a longer time getting to where you want to be as a result, it's not a bad thing. I know this isn't really advice, but know that you have options!

Hey, May: I hope you made it. Don't let this world get the best of you. I admire people that get accepted into universities. My brother went to USC (Southern California). I was really happy for him. I've never been to a university because my grades sucked, and I really can't afford to pay for college. I used to go to Pasadena City College. I went there for a semester and, after a few months, I stopped showing up for my classes and they dropped me. I took 4 classes and the teachers dropped me just because I stopped showing up for class---can you believe that? 😉 I did manage to pass this one math class, though.

I am about to fail my English class for being late and absent all the time. I didn't do bad, but my Professor was really serious about attendance and I kind of just forgot. I would highly recommend talking to your professor and/or an advisor. I struggled with a class and falling behind, and I reached out to the professor who gave me some encouraging words. Sometimes they're able to suggest resources that will allow you to catch back up, and other times they may recommend you take an Incomplete for the course. There are several options, but you should reach out to someone to find out exactly what they are and what's best for you. Good luck!

Hi from Brazil, May. I'm feeling so bad because the same thing Just happened to me. My course is chemical engeneering and I failed in Calculus 2, Algebra and general chemistry(again). I love to read and study, but im feeling so out of place and bad that i cant do that right now. Hi Marco. I think it's important to remember that even though you have a passion for reading and studying, it can be really hard to feel that passion when you're not feeling good. I really relate to constantly thinking about the mistakes I've made all the time, but I've gotten a little better at focusing on what I can do now instead of what I did in the past. It takes a lot of effort and practice, but eventually you can get to a place where you feel good about learning again. I'm really sorry I don't know how to help or what to say, especially in your case of being unable to stay in college for more than five years, but I'm sure there's someone who knows what to do, like an academic adviser or counselor. It never hurts to reach out, and I hope things turn out okay

I've received 1 D and 2 NPs. The 2 NPs were for 2 classes that I switched from Graded to P/NP so that I would be able to retake them. As long as you're able to retake classes (which may push back your graduation, and I know that isn't ideal), you will probably be okay! As you may have read in other comments, I highly recommend speaking to some sort of advisor who will have better feedback for your situation.
Hi I'm pretty literally in the same exact situation (I'm also a chemistry major at UC Berkeley who failed Math 54 and Chem 15) and I know this video is kinda old but it really helps to know I'm not alone in this kind of situation especially because CoC is really intimidating and it seems like everyone else has their shit together... anyways thanks for making my day better and bring some comfort to my sad situation
CoC sucks, and everyone is stressed all the time. After three and some years and talking to a lot of classmates, we all agree it's not a very encouraging place to be. I actually work in the stockroom, so who knows, I might have seen you as a Chem 15 student. That's kind of weird to think about. I'm glad you don't feel so alone, and know that everyone struggles, especially in CoC.

So idk why this was on my recommendation, but I think everyone in 2020 needs a hug.
I heard that if you retake a class they’ll average both grades so let’s say I get an F and I retake it and get an A what would the average be?
This is likely dependent on your college. For mine, they use the grade given after retaking the class. You would have to ask an academic advisor on this one.

Pretty sure I'm going to fail my crime scene photography class... pisses me off so much. I had to take it online and take pictures with my cell. It was surprisingly harder than you'd think. I thought my final would be an actual written exam and it turned out to be a photography thing... god I wish he would have made it a written one because I would have passed! Grrr!!
My biggest worry is my financial aid and the fact that I have to take a semester off...

Its ok to fail classes don't give up
I failed 3 classes and I got 1 a but the a doesn’t matter this is so frustrating I’m trying to become a dermatologist but I’m feeling like a failure rn
I understand that it's frustrating. I wouldn't go so far as to say the A doesn't matter. You should take credit for whatever that A is worth. Feeling like a failure will pass. You have to keep moving forward though. Don't let it hold you back.

I'm failing one class and its over half way through the semester should I credit no credit, drop it or just leave it and accept the failure
I really suggest talking to an academic advisor on this one. It depends on what else that credit/no credit or fail will affect later on. But in my opinion, there's nothing wrong straight up taking the fail.
Sometimes, it's best to attend a lower-tier university and try to get a high GPA.
I’m at the exact position I’m at mechanical technician student and parent wanted me to earned more money learning about cars. But repairing cars isn’t really my thing. Before applying to college I was interested in painting cars. Now I feel like I’m going to fail my classes because I don’t know any of this stuff and they say your supposed to have experienced fixing cars when I haven’t touch a car to fix. Idk what to do.Should I drop out? Also I have never worked and never failed a class before.
That sounds like a difficult situation. I'm sorry you're going through that. But it doesn't sound like you've already failed your classes. It might be worth continuing, but if you feel sure you don't enjoy what you're doing, you should talk to someone about it. I'm not sure who the best person to reach out to would be in your case, so I'm sorry I can't offer more advice.
