Daisy is so beautiful, and so offended by being called a pest she is the STAR of the show and the supervisor who is to be respected at all times! All that aside, that has got to be the most magnificent restoration I've ever seen, David you are truly an artist, I had an idea for a vid that maybe you take the supervisor for a walk and find a piece of furniture to restore at he same time, just a thought, good health to you both, that cabinet is STUNNING!!!🥰😘🤗💕👌👍👍👍🐕🐕🐕💗❤🧡💛💚💙💜

However, I want to say that I am THRILLED that you and Jay have formed a friendship and collaborate and challenge each other. I now look forward to each of your videos, and when either of you make a guest appearance in the other's video, it is just pure video gold.

This is my first time seeing one of your videos. When I saw the title and the pic, I thought to myself "Hmmm...nice solid mid-century piece...kind of a plain, run of the mill basic piece...nothing special, really. BUT, this fellow says it's his best restoration yet, so let's se what he does here. Maybe there will be some tips and tricks I can pick up here that will be helpful in the future."
Well, I have to say I am BLOWN AWAY! You, Sir, did an AMAZING job on this piece!!! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I've never seen a laser cutter used for this type of decorative work. You completely transformed what was a nice but kind of plain piece into a show-stopper!
Also...I now want a giant laser cutting machine toy. 😂 I'm a mom of 4 kids who occasionally will find, rescue, and refinish a piece for my own enjoyment and use, so I can't really justify the cost of one. However, my dad just retired and now spends most of his time tinkering in his 20x24 home woodworking shop as a hobby. I'm going to share your video with him in the hopes that he will decide he needs a giant laser cutting machine toy too and then he and I can both use it! 😇😁

Hi Melissa, thanks for your lovely comment and for watching my channel. I am very lucky to have that laser, it’s a great Toy to have in the workshop. I’m sure you’ll be able to convince your Dad he “needs” one 😂😂😂👍

I know, it not only had a horrible quantity of window putty, it looks like they painted it white, hated it then put a disgusting thick layer of stain or something over the white to make it look like wood again. Yuck! And that's only 2 of the problems. The results were amazing though I generally don't like matchy, matchy things I think I would have gone for the palm branch design for the panels and maybe not the colored lights, I wish you could set the colors to ones you want instead of getting the usual set colors. I know he doesn't like the back stop things and had good reason to not include this one it's clear he's not the housekeeper, lol. The backstop things are to prevent things falling down the back during cleaning and then being a total pain to get out. Still, loved the results!

Another triumph of artistic flair and imagination teamed with the very highest standards of workmanship and attention to the smallest detail. Your pursuit of perfection is admirable. A piece that you can be proud to put your name to and anyone would be proud to own. Clever you. As always Daisy made me laugh. She is so happy and confident and so well loved and cared for. The same high standards that you have in your restorations is repeated in the standards you have in being a dog owner. Lucky Daisy.

I will never do any sort of restoration myself, but watching people like you, Jay, and Angie work your magic giving new life to poor, abandoned, unloved pieces is just utterly soul-satisfying. And I don't think it's merely a coincidence that all three of you are such obviously kind, open-hearted folks who love animals ... you even rescued a lost stingie-thingie! And beautiful Daisy is such a darling ... a real "corker"! 😉 Watching y'all work helps put the world into perspective, so thank you for that, as well! Cheers from Louisiana! It came out beautifully! I have to say that I kept waiting for it to fall apart after you removed the back piece. I’m relieved that it didn’t; you had enough trouble without that nightmare. Miss Daisy is looking very charming, as usual. Give her a chin scritch for me, please.

This really was a huge undertaking, and you did it proud. That cabinet was in quite sad condition, and on top of that it was so fragile that I was afraid to hear glass breaking any second. You've got incredible patience to get from the start to the finished reveal. I really like the wallpaper, and the laser design is art deco perfect. And that laser! You could scroll through designs for hours before finding what you wanted. As always, thank you for the Daisy footage. She's a dear not only to you but to your YT subscribers as well. She's got the cutest butt wiggle on YT! Thank you for another visit to your shop. Your TLC with furniture always shines through. Cheers from Oklahoma!!!

You did a great job. Very classy looking. I love the frosted windows. It’s too bad that you couldn’t fit the glass back in with the wooden laser cutouts. I can just imagine how much dust it’s gonna get inside. I would definitely put that little top piece back on. It gives more class to the cabinet. I really really like the “floral” backing that you put inside. What a beautiful background to look at. 😅
Sounds like you had the patience of Jobe to create your masterpiece.

Oh, what absolute fun!!! Knew you had something amazing for those panels! The wood looks a little like cherry wood with the finish and stain, my favorite! (People can use purses for lipsticks and coins.) :) Either I had one of these cabinets or it reminds me of one a dear friend of mine had that was about 6 ft tall which she kept in dining living room area that I filled with her twin granddaughters' doll collections, some of which I purchased in a little village north of London in the early eighties. It had shelves. Yours is something very very beautiful and special! I think we had a similar wallpaper when I was a little girl with the beautiful banana and palm and rubber plant leaves if that's what they are. You won't need as much Gin if you keep watching the lights! Thank you!

@@MayfieldRestorationsI don't care for gin either. Back in the day when I drank martinis it was always vodka. I think we use gin for a lot of other mixed drinks as well but never did like it. Your wife must absolutely love your beautiful restoration!!
