That was just beautiful! I've always loved those display stoves, but to see one working is just icing on the cake, love antiques anyway so if I'm ever lucky enough I want one of those too. It's just wonderful how you restored it and made it work, keep on doing it, it keeps the memories alive from simpler times. My grandmother grew up with one, it's speaks so much of times long past, a great memory to cherish, always. ❤
What a trip down memory lane. My father-in-law (gone for many years) was a Millwright. As a young man he taught himself to work with metals. His basement workshop was full of tools like the ones shown here. How nice to see them in action! And my great grandmother had a wood stove much like this one (without the gold leaf). Thank you so much for connecting me to these folks.
The little stove was lovely. I kept thinking of my sister's Barbie-doll 'houses' and wondered of the scale... still I'm thinking too much. The work was lovely. Thank you.
That is one sweet restoration sir, then to top it off, it’s a working model to boot, did yourself proud on this one, congratulations, thanks for the video, enjoyed it.
I liked the work, good job. Same comment on others about the music. I turned the volume down, but i do enjoy videos where you can hear the work going on, without the music. But it's your channel. I wonder if this is when they first came out with gas stoves, where they were wood burning stoves converted to gas? My grandmother only had a wood burner when she was on the farm, and was a very good baker with it and it took a lot of knowledge maintaining the heat. It wasn't cast iron, so it was a little more modern, I'd bet it was from the 1930s. She was proud she had baked 3 wedding cakes in that stove! So I did notice the fire was started in the stove, but you already acknowledged in another comment. Were the grates under the gas diffuser put there in case the owner wanted to use wood instead of gas? Is she dual fuel? LOL PS the only nitpick about the restoration. I would have rather seen the round covers on the top made smooth, no lines from the lathe. It would have looked more like they really looked like, they would have been cast iron.
Hey thanks for watching. Yes my dad told me a similar story about his grandmother. Her stove first had wood then coal. This little stove came with a gas option that didn’t work just for show so I drilled it out just to see if I could make it work. Once again thanks!
Haha - a fire builder you are not! But, WOW! What a piece of art. So this was both a gas burning stove and a wood burning stove? I've never heard of that. But I love the miniatures that salesmen used to cart around to sell their wares. Thank you for bringing this treasure back to life. Did the originals have golden legs? It seems a bit like "gilding the lily" to me.
Yes this one had the gas burner option. I do like taking a little artistic privilege seems to upset some people though…Thank you so much for watching. I have a new restoration coming soon!
Wow that was an amazing job and the video was so interesting!! Could you leave the subtitles on just a bit longer? Everything you did was timely and methodical!!The gold leaf work "put the icing on that cake!!!" Looking forward to more restorations!! 2:18 pm
I'd love to own one of these!!! It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!! I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up I subscribed to your channel
Beautiful job. I hesitate to use the word “restoration” as I believe you made it better than it was when manufactured. Great work mate. We had a similar, although less ornate unit on our farm. It only had the one firebox, where you installed the gas burner. Where you lit the fire was the oven. Please don’t think I’m criticising, I’m just pointing out the difference in ours to yours.
I like the plated silver better than the gold. Since this was a model, was the full size a combo of a wood and a gas stove; or did you just make this a gas user for fun! Nice rehab work reguardless!
I Like, I Like!! This Earned You A New Subscriber Today🥰 11 - 21 - 2023. The Gold Leaf Was A Great Touch; But I Was Wandering, Will It Melt Off Under The Stress Of The Heat That Is Produced From The Fire That Was Made Inside The Little Stove?
Let me first saw, awesome job refurbishing this beautiful stove, but as someone who grew up with a majestic wood stove as my family’s sole source of heat and cooking, your “fire” was actually in the oven portion and your gas burner is where the wood should have been. But nonetheless it was nice to see it restored beautifully.
Thanks for watching I really appreciate it. I did take some artistic liberties and start a fire in the oven for fun. I definitely had some viewers not happy about it.
Awesome job! You did put the firewood in the baking owen. (i know it was the only possible way to put firewood in the model because of the gasburner :-) )
Very nice but I wish you could have reused the slotted screws and square nuts instead of modern. The other is - you don't burn wood inside the oven. All the wood is burnt in the firebox where they gas burner is.
Amazing work, although I do hope you used heat resistant paint, however I don't think the gold leaf or the silver paint will hold up with actual heat from the flames. It wasn't constructed to be an actual usable device just a model so customers could see what it looks like. I bet the actual stove weighs several hundred pounds if it's made out of pure cast iron. Great work nonetheless, very pretty finished product.
@@sherrylawrencelewis2544Why turn down the volume when they can complain that its not personalised precisely for them? Irony is, it took more time and muscle power to type what they did than it would to turn the volume down 😂
Music is , at the very least , too loud . I'm not sure why the nickel plating and gold leaf was necessary . That stove would have been entirely cast iron and likely done in stove black unless the company offered enamel colors . The biggest thing that I don't get is why " make it work " ? It's a piece of history . A salesman's sample from when most of America didn't have electric or gas ranges and used wood for cooking as well as heating . Seems a waste of time to add a propane burner , as well as a damned shame to punch holes in what was a solid piece of history .
Music to loud is using YT editing software. It always makes the music way to damn loud. One of the things I hate most on these types of video is loud annoying music. And I agree the gold leaf was not needed. Nickle plating I can see just to keep the iron from rusting. Also not really needed. Granted since it is cast iron I would have just cured it all like I do my cast iron pans and then not have to worry about rust.
Now, you will need some tiny eggs and tiny strips of bacon to cook on this tiny little stove. Or make the tiniest pancakes of all. Hummingbirds lay eggs the size of peas.
Why does everyone have to use black? They had other colors in the past, especially if they were trying to show a product off. Why no dark blue, dark green, crimson, etc?
I apologize for the color, but it’s the only heat safe paint I could find. I really wanted a more interesting color. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it.

I was not aware that those salesman models actually functioned. Nicely done.
The little stove was lovely. I kept thinking of my sister's Barbie-doll 'houses' and wondered of the scale... still I'm thinking too much. The work was lovely. Thank you.
🤯🤯you have out done your self on this one the stove looks amazing 👍👏👏👏👏👏🇺🇲
Such a beautiful job- so nice to see these treasures come back to life!

Wow! You can tell how old this truly is and damn that finish you made it actually a working stove too so impressed great work
Amazing.👌👌👌
That looks so cozy! Thanks needed that with all the rain falling in the Netherlands 👍😸☺️

Una miniatura de estufa muy linda! Buen trabajo!! Gracias por compartir. 👌👍
Thanks for watching! I really appreciate it
Nicely done. I believe that instead of a griddle that piece you made was the lid over the hot water reservoir, at least that's where our stove's was.
É miniatura de um fogão a LENHA! Deve ser difícil. O SR É um Magnífico restaurador. Parabéns SUCESSO sempre 👏👏👏👏🎇🎉🎉
Thank you so much for your kind words
That was amazing! There must be an interesting history of this piece. Great work!
Beautiful job. It took me back a bit. Mom had one. Innovative …
Thank you so much for watching
Przepięknie jest odrestaurowany ten stary zabytkowy ozdobny piecyk ze średniowiecza Pozdrawiam serdecznie 👍👍👍👍👍
Middle aged?!😄 I don't think it's THAT old, but just the same, I agree it's a beautiful restoration, isn't it?😊
Thanks for sharing enjoyed watching it and have subscribed
Thank you
Man! I wish I had your MAD SKILLS & equipment!! I would love to be able to do what you do.
Thanks for watching
You did a great job, Well done, although I hope you used heat resistant paint but the finished product is beautiful.
Yes I did already used it a couple times and still looks brand new. Thanks for watching
A lot of attention to detail, good work👍
Thank you
This video was amazing! I love this content. Super awesome work. The results are always beautiful.
Thank you so much!
A lovely finish! I would love to have a stove like this ... she's a beauty!❤
Thank you very much!
I like the music in this video😊
It all starts with the sound of flames 🔥
The finished product looks a bit like a Japanese hearse.😳
Thank you so much for watching
Nothing like showing the end result before the vid starts . Clever .
Enjoyable video, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it

Bella la stufetta davvero bella e rifatta benissimo... Ottimo lavoro grazie per il tuo video 😊💯👍
É restaurador de grande arte parabéns pelo seu sucesso
Thank you so much I really appreciate it
Bravo très bonnes restoration
Thank you so much for watching
The music isn’t really needed & it’s kind of too high over powering the AMSR effect, but other than that great vid & good job. Very pretty stove.
Συγχαρητήρια! Πολύ καλή και όμορφη δουλειά!
Hey man, being a restoration guy I am wondering how you create all the rust before removing it. Well done
I don’t I would never waste my time doing that.
What a beautiful restoration. You have done a great work ☺☺
I'd love to own one of these!!!
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
I subscribed to your channel
Absolutely outstanding
So pretty and beautiful.
Why does this channel have 38K in views, and only 600 SUBS?? It should have at least 2K

Very good!
I'm from Americana SP - Brasil.
That's freaking adorable!! I love it!@ and it actually works!?!? Awesome job!!❤❤
It's just so cute! And it works! Beautiful restoration...just subscribed. 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Amazing
Thank you so much for watching
Just Beautiful...
Beautiful. However, the wood went to the side. You put it in the oven… I still love it.
I like the plated silver better than the gold. Since this was a model, was the full size a combo of a wood and a gas stove; or did you just make this a gas user for fun! Nice rehab work reguardless!
I had another stove that had both options but it wasn’t restorable. So I converted this one for fun! Thanks for watching

Great job, but please no music next time 😏
Que lindo esse fogão
Thank you so much for watching
what"s with the philips/PZ screws?
I thought that the grill cover you called was a cover for the water vat on the side if the stove,

Caramba muito interessante mesmo quanto tempo tem uma peça desta ninguém saberia dizer
Awesome job! You did put the firewood in the baking owen. (i know it was the only possible way to put firewood in the model because of the gasburner :-) )
¡Qué chulada! Enhorabuena por el trabajo 👏🏻👍🏻
Loved the restoration, hated the music!!!
Супер . У мастера руки золотые .
Very nice but I wish you could have reused the slotted screws and square nuts instead of modern. The other is - you don't burn wood inside the oven. All the wood is burnt in the firebox where they gas burner is.
Hizo una belleza de trabajo❤❤
Mil gracias
Ehm, a very good restauration, but why do you set a fire in the Baking-Box?
Quero ver restauração de um fogão de tamanho normal. Fogão a lenha!!!
Great idea
Wonderful job! Is this for a doll's house?
I have one like it but not the same name. It's in really good shape but it's missing some parts.
Nice job.
Love love this!!❤
Looks great. Needs stove seal for the top to avoid smoke draft though
Beautiful restoration. Did they really have gas diffusers in that time or was this an add on? Great job.
Yes they did have diffusers I took it off another stove that I couldn’t revive. Thanks for watching
ficou muito belo
Wile. E. Coyote cooks his breakfast on one of these even today.
Que preciosidad, yo quiero una.😅😇🥰🇪🇸
Thank you so much for watching
I think you did a good job but if it was a true restoration shouldn’t the new parts be cast iron instead of steel? Just wondered.
Less music, more ASMR.
Please consider no music!
That little stove has it's grates. there is a saying I have to shake my grates. meaning empty the charcoal from the stove. granny92 USA.

Yes it is all heat resistant paint and nickel plating. I already used it a couple times and it still looks brand new. Thanks for watching!
That thing is beautiful. I think I would paint the screwheads however, they are very distracting.
Lindo!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it
The music really spoilt this. All I needed was strobing lights and a cocktail and my night was complete.
Hun, could you not just turn down the volume? 😊😊😊
@@sherrylawrencelewis2544Why turn down the volume when they can complain that its not personalised precisely for them?
Irony is, it took more time and muscle power to type what they did than it would to turn the volume down 😂
That's not the firebox, that's the oven!
Perfeito.
Thank you so much for watching
Hermoso,,,,,trabajo
YOU HAVE THE WOOD BURNING IN THE WRONG PLACE 😲😲😲
Yes I know the wood box was closed off I should have cut it open. Thank you so much for watching
Hello from France
The oven is made for baking cakes or other things, not for putting wood in it.
Otherwise, great restoration work!
I had a stove of a similar size to this one, but it only looked like a stove.....it is actually a cookie jar....and it's mine now.

great job, but the gilding a bit of a mess and teflon tape on the brass threads for safety.
Yes I used pipe dope to handle the heat thanks for watching I really appreciate it
You might want to do with out music. It's easier to focus what on the video.
And you got it backwards. You were putting firewood in the oven.
lol I know, but it seemed fun
Oh god that awful music. Its not necessary
Обалдеть! Просто сказка!
Me imagino que esas estufitas son de juguete porque quién cocinaria en esas pequeñeces mas cuando las familias de antes eran familiones de mas de 10
On the next video please just start with music and when you get started just tapper off thank you
Now, you will need some tiny eggs and tiny strips of bacon to cook on this tiny little stove. Or make the tiniest pancakes of all. Hummingbirds lay eggs the size of peas.
