Hi! Electrical engineer here hoping to provide a tip! The current rating is a maximum the power supply is capable of so 1 amp 2 amp it doesn't matter since their purpose is to be a constant voltage supply so don't worry about the current! Just make sure that everything plugged into it doesn't draw more than 2 amps or else the battery pack won't be able to keep up!
I had a set of lit sunglasses with similar lenses. On the eyeball side of the dots they printed black dots over the top so it wasn't so bright in your face. If your dots are just lightly etched in the surface then any paint or ink will probably just fill in the etching. But if it's paint or a deep etch, then some black dots on the inside should help visibility
Nate Olmsted theyre a light etch of white dots on the back. Visibility is pretty good. I actually did consider painting the back sides of them all black to test some ideas
I have a helmet with eye sockets that are quite large, could probably fit two of the LED strips on top of each other in each eye. Would it be advisable to just install one behind some tinted acetate or acrylic?
You do a really good job of explaining where you get things and how it works! I do not have a 3D printer, but was thinking of getting and Ender5. How much total would it take to make that helmet counting the plastic, paint, and accessories?
It depends on how much stuff you have already. Excluding the printer, you also need filament (about 2 rolls), sandpaper in various grits, filler primer, and other fillers to smooth out layer lines and then all the spray paints to color the helmet. Materials can set you back $40-60 depending on where you buy.
Frankly Built I wish they kept the wings from the mark 50 and reapplied them to the mark 85, those definitely looked better than whatever the mark 85 got
Frankly Built Fair enough 😂. I don’t mean to bother you too much but I know you had an explanation on the circuitry of the helmet mechanism but could you do a tutorial similar to this explaining how you setup the motors to make the opening of the front plate on the other helmet look realistic to the movie? I thought it was really cool and am looking to do a project like this myself but I can’t find anyone that explains how to position the motors to make it opening without scraping the plastic and ruining the paint
Don't know if you'll respond, but I just finished making my Red Hood helmet and just installed the led lights but they're really hard to see out of when they're on. Is there any out there where I can see out of?
@@FranklyBuilt damn. I have the painted dots facing out. I tested them before putting them on and they looked the same on both sides. Ill have to try the weaker battery method. Is there anything I can add to them to reduce the amount of light going into my eyes?
what colour is actually used for iron man eyes, white or blue, because blue seems way to blue on ebay and white seems well... white.. just curious as i dont wanna order the wrong ones, thanks for any help.
Bought a pair of lights from "recommended" seller. I can't see * through these things (yes, even looking theought the right side), even in a well lit room. Thank goodness the item was only 10 bucks, but I still don't like wasting money on useless crap.
You either need to add a potentiometer or lower the voltage. This is an old video and sellers change. Some are brighter then others. They work fine if you use them right you just need to take your time

That’s a very good tip! Shouldve mentioned more on amperage and draw haha. But hopefully, typically. These components don’t draw that much
Said it once, I’ll say it again: you’re a saint dude.
this is class, just ordered 3, cheers dude. P.S the googly eyes on the iron man statue, epic :)

Just wanted to say I came across your channel recently and I think your videos are really unique. Keep it up! :)
Dude. FINALLY got some time to check out all of these vids! Been following you on IG....this is absolutely amazeballs!! :-)
Dude. THANK you haha
@@FranklyBuilt and subscribed for SURE! Keep em coming!
A curling iron works well to bend the LEDs. Just hover the LEDs in it
Can you get them off Amazon? If so, can you provide a link PLEASE?
Great video bro! I follow your awesome IG!!!
Eugenio Carneiro thanks!
Thanks man! 👌👍 Greetz from Cosplay_Source.

The ender 5 is good! Aside from that it’s only $15-30 extra for plastic. Everything else like the programs are free!

I just got the LED eyes in the mail today but no matter what side i look through i can’t see out of them. I’m in a well lit room. Any ideas?
How are you not at 1 million subs yet bro?
Cause reasons? Idk haha
@@FranklyBuilt yeah about to watch ur vid on the magnetic contacts, Your like tony stark over here lol
Can you change the LEDs color??? I thinking of building a helmet with one normal blue like that, and one gold or yellow
Are those available in different colors? Like red amber etc?
HERE'S MY FAVORITE VIDEO!!!! LOVE THE WAY YOU DO THE EYES 👀
I'M @ironman_kyne25 btw from Instagram
I saw the finished suit on reddit, looks amazing! Are you planning on making the extra attachments for his wing-like repulsors?
Thank you! And no haha I hate that backpack thing. It had less screen time than Black Widows sandwich. Too much work for one thing I think is ugly
Frankly Built I wish they kept the wings from the mark 50 and reapplied them to the mark 85, those definitely looked better than whatever the mark 85 got
MrBluePenguin honestly I don’t think so haha I hated those too lol 😂 I don’t think the 85 needed wings. It was strong enough.

MrBluePenguin already planning that tutorial my man haha
I’ve bought the usb version, how long would the Led life be if I had it powered constantly for my iron man display
How did you glue them to the eye socket? What did you use? Gorilla glue makes a haze
Super glue
Nice mask man
Thanks!
3:17 is it toxic to use heat on them to flex and bend them?
bad ass man great share thanks
Thanks!
Oh hey those magnets look familiar ;)
Yep lol
Really cool! Can you do a endgame infinity gauntlet? You don’t have to but it’s a suggestion
Like the cone hulk has?
Frankly Built yes
Any tips for how to run wires for the hinge faceplate without then pinching? Or do you put the battery pack on the faceplate itself somewhere?
Run them along the arms
Don't know if you'll respond, but I just finished making my Red Hood helmet and just installed the led lights but they're really hard to see out of when they're on. Is there any out there where I can see out of?
Make sure
You have them aimed the right way. Painted dots on the inside. Also you can use weaker batteries
@@FranklyBuilt damn. I have the painted dots facing out. I tested them before putting them on and they looked the same on both sides. Ill have to try the weaker battery method. Is there anything I can add to them to reduce the amount of light going into my eyes?
Maybe a potentiometer. And you should flip the lens. Those dots are what reflect the light out. They should be closer to your eyes so they reflect iut
This helped out so much
Can you make a tutorial how to operate the lights using the finger touch control method you mentioned?
Yep! Working on it
@@FranklyBuilt You're the man! Working on a build for Halloween, and would love to use that system
Would these work inside of a plague doctor mask by chance? Or do they need to be closer to the eyes to see through?
Thank you so much I APPRECIATE IT REST IN PEACE AND PARADISE TO ALL THE LEGENDS XXX.
The googly eyes on the iron man figure 🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Will this work with a motorized helmet? I'm trying to see how to light the helmet up when it closes when I began to build my suit/helmet?
Check my newest motorisation video
Can you post a link for the magnetic connectors and how to wire
This is great!!
Thank you!

Yay I can make ultraman anime cosplay
What 3d printer do you use
2 Creality CR-10s printers
@@FranklyBuilt why do you use 2 will 1 not work?
I have 7 printers lol it just makes it go faster
Did you hot glue them in?
Olá , bom vídeo gostou muito do seu canal . Eu gostaria de saber, como chama está placas de luz dos led nos olhos
Quero sabe o nome desse led pra eu compra
what colours did you use for the armour.
Watch build video 6 and 6.5
Can you cut the acrylic to shorten it up? Will it illuminate the same after cutting?
As long as you peel the silver tape off first around the boarder yeah
@@FranklyBuilt gotcha...do you need to reattach the tape after cutting so it reflects the light?
Yep! Exactly
@@FranklyBuilt thanks man...appreciate it
im the 1k like XD
where can you get a magnetic contact like yours
Amazon or eBay. I have another tutorial on it
My lights stopped working after i heated and bent them, can i fix them some how?
You mighhhhhht have overheated the LED :/
Frankly Built dam, time to order so new ones...
I’m really sorry man. You have to try to avoid heating the very tip with the LED
Still worth it
Which file did you use to 3d print?
This is the Do3d helmet. It’s kind of lacking. Use the CGtrader one
@@FranklyBuilt oh okay! Thank you!
WOW...
me knowing im not gonna make this and never have to use this: hmmmm, interesting
Your right hand has seen better days
Are they on wish
Not sure actually
where can I find the magnets?
