- Day 1 of my 3 day adventure at Tulchan Estate on the River Spey. I came here last year with a group of about 14 people, this year we are at 22 people so we're taking all 4 beats for this trip. Today, I fish on a new beat for me. I am joined at Tulchan by fellow youtubers and friends @IainSB and @Hardlinesangling

I had a fish a couple weeks ago on the Ericht which was my first ever spring salmon! Back out on Monday so fingers crossed! Great videos as always, tight lines!

Great video Chris. There were certainly fish moving that day. The one I saw was only two rod lengths out. I covered it with at least 4 different flies but it didn't want to know 😂

Lovely stuff. The weather has put the kybosh on my attempts to wet a line so far, but plans for another bash at the Tummel are being put together.

Thanks again-I'm temporarily grounded but will be out at it again shortly; do you ever use a wading stick ? I find I can't get on without one and so far in 40-odd years I have NEVER fallen in-how's that for tempting fate......!
Hey Tom i quite agree i never get in the river without my wading stick either, i am too instable without it 😉
