You don't need to hear from a psychologist about Santos at this point, but I would like to hear from a specialist on how McCarthy is able to stand, walk, and talk to reporters without a spine.
I am a specialist and as an expert I would say that he does it the same way as most other republicans do it... it must be the chosen orange one who has carried out human experiments 🤷♂️😬

McCarthy feels he can't spare Santos because he has a razor-thin majority and if Santos resigns, there's a special election and that seat is guaranteed of flipping back to the Democrats. Thus making McCarthy's majority all the more tenuous.
Although this is a moment where it's best to just rip the bandage off, because Santos staying in Congress is far more costly to the GOP overall than getting rid of him now. Especially because we just don't know how much more is going to come out about him.

Good judgement and common sense have gone out the window of late with the Republicans. For those of us who have been around for long enough, we could never have imagined Reagan, George H.W. Bush, or Gerald ford Pulling shenanigans like this. Even Nixon was more careful with classified information than Trump was, and then a lot of the current crop of Republicans can be trusted to be. There are probably a few Dems we can put in that collection too, though they're not the ones that the Republicans are constantly worried about. They are lesser known people that you don't hear a lot about, and that you wouldn't recognize unless you are one of their constituents.

How can Santos get security clearance for classified briefings? It's a big deal to get security clearance and they do a deep dive into your finances and history to make sure you are not a security risk.

He's not just self aggrandizing, he's allegedly committing financial fraud diverting pet rescue funds. There's been some really disturbing allegations of his raising money for pets in distress, then appropriating the money for his own use. That's really despicable.

I love it when politicians side step a question. When asked whether he thought it was appropriate that some of his colleagues heckled the president, he talked about how frustrated some of them were, when a more honest answer would have simply been either yes or no.
