i doubt ANY of these talking heads ever have to worry about "the cost of the groceries on their table". politics is a game to them, and a means to make money. if they cared about ordinary Americans they would be out every day shouting to denounce Trump - who doesn't give a crap about his followers money issues.

Actually, that's exactly the Speaker, or any representative's, job when a blatantly obvious, partisan, lawfare type of trial goes against a private citizen... because if a sham of a trial against Trump, you better believe they'll do it to you and you want a Congressional representative there to support YOU. Besides which, he would be representative of the constitutes of Louisiana in his district, not necessarily as the Speaker.
