The flag was like that for a number of days. Alito clearly knew about it and did nothing. He is a shameless disgrace.

It might have something to do with his failure at his “manly duties”?
I doubt impeachment is feasible; the bar in the senate is just too high. Instead, dems should aim to win 2024, and then pack the court with at least 6 new justices - including with young ideologues. Two of these should explicitly and publicly (ideally during their confirmation) explicitly swear to vote contrary to specifically Alito and Thomas. We may not be able to impeach openly treasonous judges due to flaws in the constitution, but we can render them impotent.
If the supreme court is packed and congress passes appropriate laws, we may also be able to criminally prosecute them, but I suspect we've got more important fish to fry at that point especially since doing so would likely be ethically dubious. And the MAGA damage runs deep; best to focus on the systemic problems rather than vengeance.

Do they need to send in the police to find out what the danger is? Maybe the harassment of police until the flag flies the correct way may change the decisions of Alito's wife. It appears the wife wears the pants in the family if he can not get her to put the flag the correct way. He is either complicit or has the same opinions. He should definitely be recused from any decision pertaining Trump if he has these things shown at his house. It proves his decisions would be bias for Trump.

The inverted flag incident had nothing to do with Jan 6 or the stolen election. It was a result of a dispute with a neighbor. Even so, the inverted flag is appropriate. Our government has been hijacked. Biden was not elected by the people. The Dems act like this statement of fact is some sort of blasphemy.

I can't even imagine how many times Martha Bomgardner (aka Mrs. Alito) has screamed at various managers "Do you know who my husband is!!?". Let's get her in front of a camera and have her explain why she publicly supports domestic terrorism. And while that is being done congress must open full investigations on Alito and Thomas. Both of them have family members who clearly support overthrowing the government and have varying levels of possible involvement in Jan 6th which requires recusal for both justices from sitting on any Trump matters. If they won't voluntarily recuse, then steps need to be taken in congress and the senate to impeach, hold a trial and if the evidence proves out, remove both of them from the Supreme Court. If John Roberts is incapable of managing 9 people and ensuring they fly straight, then we need to look at him as a knowing accomplice. If a SCOTUS justice can't peacefully respect the differing opinions of his neighbor, do you think he's going to respect the differing opinions of hundreds of millions of Americans? Alito (and Thomas because of the motor coach bribery) ought to be removed immediately. And if conservatives refuse to hold them accountable, expand SCOTUS from 9 to 19.

I worked as a federal civil servant for 40 years. The law reads, "or appearance of wrong doing". Our bosses stressed this law over and over. Yet the Supreme Court, ideally objective, ignores the law.

The problem is justices like Alito and Thomas seem to have reached the conclusion that they're above the law and are no longer accountable to the public. The integrity and the honor of the court seems to be on their back burners. Now it has become all about the money and the goodies.

When it comes to corruption over the last 50 years, the Republicans are in a league of their own. Members of Republican administrations, compared to Democrats, provide the vast majority (98%+) of indictments, guilty pleas, and criminal convictions. By the time the dust settles, the Trump administration will have made the ratio 99% plus.

It is also the ones voted in. McConnell has been in there for decades that has pushed for these lifetime appointees. Kentucky keeps voting him back in. Low or uneducated that vote for the letter next to their name and not pay attention to politics keep voting the same people in. Term limits on Congress would stop some of these things because the power is not as strong. I wonder why the GOP wants to get rid of mail in votes. McConnell and many others win from those counts at the end of mail in votes.

Supreme court appointments are only as good as the people that were part of the process of appointing them. Surely you are not naive to believe that court appointments have not been influenced by the same hyper partisan and self interested politics as the rest of the country. Accountability for government and powerful interests is always a good thing.
