George Santos was born in July 22, 1988, he stated on Greg Kelly's show, that his company Devoulger was founded in 2001, and he stepped away from that to do his own business. Ahh he was 13 at that time, and no one corrects him.

As a Brit, it’s easy to criticise Santos but the system allowed him to get away with it. I’m more concerned with the state of apathy in America that turns a blind eye to demonstrable lies. Political parties care more about ‘winning’ than democracy.
But don't mention the brexit...us Brits have a very major existential problem now as well as folks very similar to Santos in even higher offfice.
At least the GRU/KGB do not have a US Senator (to my knowledge) unlike the problem in the House of Lords, upper chamber of the GB parliament, thanks to operative "Boris".
Be that as it may, I believe that most people in the UK are somewhat biased towards him due to his relation to his much-loved grandfather, Winston Churchill.

What I found the most disturbing in George Santos is that he has no remorse whatsoever; when confronted, he just doubles down. Santos is a mix of mythomane and psychopath. Santos has made a mockery of Congress.

If any of the places that call themselves journalist or papers had taken the time to just run a background check on the man running for congress ? They would have found he is likely an intelligence asset that was sent to engage in Brazil who is now a member of congress using a crafted identity .
This might be the first time we ever caught a deep cover op assuming the alternative ID to take public office.

I applied for a part-time teaching position and had sooo much explaining to do for a misdemeanor when I was 18 (I’m 50 now) that it delayed my hiring 2 months. I should have run for Congress instead and made a nice $175k a year + best health insurance plan, free meals and trips. I’m so stupid for being honest in this day and age. 😹

What I know is true.
He's a high school drop out. No degrees. Worked for a company running ponzi schemes. His mother died (nothing to do with 9-11, she was I'm Brazil in 2001) and he was too poor to bury her so funds were raised. He is sought after in Brazil for elder fraud and cheque fraud. He has lost court cases repeatedly for not paying rent and not repaying personal loans yet he doesn't seem to have paid them.

This documentary should have followed up. WHY didn't the Republicans blow a whistle. Was it too late for them to change candidates? Why didn't the Democrats do more with their opposition research?
@@sweetmusic3821 my bet is he was winning in the polls and they'd rather keep him and have a member of their party win no matter who or what they are 🤔 as for the other party investigating him and his wrongdoings, perhaps not wanting to look like a smear campaign, not enough funds to prove accusations, or perhaps they thought the voters would figure it out. There were hints at his character along the way, some people choose party over principle.

I think he is dangerous, we don’t know who he really is. How do we know he was not planted there by a foreign interest. Congress needs to put differences aside and get this guy out because he could be a threat to national security. He is great for jokes but it’s time to get him out and file charges against him.

When I apply for a job. The company I applied for did a background check on me including my Diploma (both high school and college) criminal background etc. He applied to work for the US Congress and the republican party failed to verify even the simplest thing, like his educational background.

One day they'll make a movie about this guy too. And he'll likely profit from it and genuinely have some wealth to boast about. I'm not a parent, but it must be a relief to parents that children don't pay attention to politics because the age old lesson of 'honesty is the best policy' is turning out to be a lie in itself!
Interestingly, some later research has put doubts on what the Catch Me If You Can guy told in his book, the basis for the film. It appears he didn't tell the truth there either.

We must start doing our homework when someone says they want to represent us. They are the only government employees who are not drug tested. If you make background checks financial checks like most Americans go through that would alleviate a lot of these problems. Had they been made it part of protocol trump would have never made it pass that golden escalator.

George Santos was Alexander the great's right hand, George ruled the empire for many centuries after emperor's death. He also spearheaded the NASA space program and became the first person to land on the moon. He faught in WW2 and became the most decorated general of all tme. Before he was elected to US congress, he won 12 Grammys and 24 Oscars. He also won a Miss Universe title, held in Mars, representing Brazil.

Biden has lied about his family history. During the 1988 Democratic presidential primary, it emerged that he had plagiarized a speech by British Labour leader Neil Kinnock, adopting Kinnock’s family history as his own. “Why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go to a university?” Biden asked. “Is it because I’m the first Biden in a thousand generations to get a college and a graduate degree? … My ancestors, who worked in the coal mines of northeast Pennsylvania and would come up after 12 hours and play football for four hours?”
Not only were many of the words stolen, so were the facts: Biden was not the first in his family to go to college (only the first on his father’s side), and his ancestors had not been coal miners (though a great-grandfather was a mining engineer). In 2008, he falsely told the United Mine Workers “I am a hard coal miner.” (A spokesperson said he was joking.)
Biden has also made numerous false assertions about his educational achievements. He claimed in 1987 that he had “graduated with three degrees from college,” had received an award as “the outstanding student in the political science department,” finished in the “top half” of his class at law school and received a “full academic scholarship.” None of that was true. He received a single B.A. in history and political science, had only been put up for the award by a professor, graduated 76th in a class of 85 from Syracuse College of Law, and had a partial need-based scholarship. After the Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade, he claimed to have written “a number of law review articles” on the right to privacy - which was untrue.
He has also falsely claimed to have been arrested multiple times for taking righteous stands. During his 2020 campaign, Biden repeatedly claimed that he was arrested in South Africa trying to visit Nelson Mandela in prison, adding that Mandela thanked him for it when he came to Washington. None of it was true.
Biden also claimed during a speech in Atlanta that he had been arrested while protesting for civil rights: “You think I’m kidding, man. It seems like yesterday the first time I got arrested.” According to the New York Times, “There is no evidence he was ever arrested during a civil-rights protest.” He has also falsely claimed to have been arrested as a college student for entering an all-female dorm, and sneaking into the U.S. Capitol. Has any president experienced so much imagined jail time?
He has also lied about his experience in war zones. In 2021, Biden told State Department employees that he was “shot at” overseas - similar to a debunked claim of being shot at inside Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone made during a Democratic presidential debate in 2007. (He later revised the claim, saying that in fact, “I was near where a shot landed.”) In 2019, he told a detailed story about brushing off warnings of danger, when he was vice president, to pin a Silver Star on a Navy captain in Afghanistan.
The Post reported that “almost every detail in the story appears to be incorrect.” It was President Barack Obama, not Biden, who gave him the award; it was the Medal of Honor, not the Silver Star; and the ceremony took place at the White House, not in Afghanistan.
Biden has lied about consoling victims of tragedy. He claimed that he met in Washington with survivors of a school shooting in Parkland, Fla., while he was vice president, even though the shooting took place in 2018, well after he left office, and that he spent time at Tree of Life synagogue, after 11 people were massacred there in 2018, but it turns out he never visited. (He spoke to the rabbi by phone.)
He has lied about his relationships with foreign leaders. In 2020, he claimed that he had gotten China to join the 2016 Paris climate accord “after meeting with Deng Xiaoping,” who died in 1997. And he has claimed more than 20 times that he had traveled 17,000 miles with Chinese President Xi Jinping - earning Biden a “Bottomless Pinocchio” from The Post.
And, of course, Biden lies constantly about his record as president. He falsely claimed to have passed his student loan forgiveness “by a vote or two.” (Congress never voted on it.) He has repeatedly falsely claimed that he has cut the federal debt in half; that “real incomes are up” (they’ve suffered the largest decline in four decades); that his Chips Act will create 1 million construction jobs (the real number is 6,200); that his Inflation Reduction Act will reduce inflation (it will not); and that none of his military commanders advised him to leave a residual force in Afghanistan (they did).
Biden’s career has been a constant stream of untruths. Yet no Democratic Party leaders have suggested that Biden is “woefully unqualified” or “unfit to serve.” Maybe Santos should switch parties and run for president - then all would be forgiven.
Love it! Takes a very special person to ignore all humility, stomach the shame and hang on to the prize. A terrible person deciding your future.

Missyyy, i went to trade school with a guy who was a pathological fabricator like Santos. For me the most disturbing part, as people began to see through him and he became more isolated, he remained completely unfazed as if nothing was wrong at all. Its sad because it is a real disorder. Hes crazy, but he doesnt realize hes crazy. After hes removed from congress i hope he gets the help he needs

I like this. THIS is actual journalism. You interviewed BOTH sides. I think if we had more media like this maybe we the people would believe more of what's reported. I'm neither party sided but I respect the journalist who did this. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that neither party vetted him or any other politician running for an important official title.
I agree, however most people are only marginally interested and will not pay attention for more than a few minutes - you can even hear how people parrot beck certain talking points. I do believe much of the public had been so ground-down, dumbed-down by both a reduced and yet omni-present media that they don't have strong opinions or convictions. They can't state what they believe in and why but rather what they perceive to be the correct position.

Extradite him to Brazil to stand trial for check fraud. He defrauded a store of $1300 in clothes and shoes using stolen checks and a fake ID. The store clerk had to pay it back to the store in installments for having made a mistake letting it go through. Two days after the theft a man named Thiago brought the shoes back to the store and tried to exchange them for a different size, saying a friend gave him the shoes and he had no idea about any illegal activity.

Meh, he knew who Santos was. The local conservative newspaper didn't endorse Santos, and ran the story of him being a fraud. The paper stated that he didn't go to the colleges that Santos said he went to, and that he never worked at Goldman & Sachs.
The republican party knew all of this, and still supported him. It is now that he evolved into this scandal, that they are suddenly demanding his resignation.
He's not a top man. He's just the fall guy who the party has chosen to take all the blame for the Santos scandal. Find better idols.

I think he's a top man because he could have danced around the subject and avoided answering the question about taking responsibility instead of admitting straight up his part in the situation. I'm sure many people have seen interviews where politicians and others have tried their best to avoid taking responsibility.

I met George santos. I live in NY02 and work as a bus boy at a small restaurant. We had a request for a party of 100 a month or so ago and it was a lot of New York and Long Island republicans for the party. Nick LaLota, mayors of different cities, town of Babylon board, etc many local republicans. Santos was also there and I have a picture of his name signed on the party list of people who attended. Santos just sat in the back of the restaurant with 4-5 other people laughing and talking with eachother. He didn’t talk with the rest of the people or really interact with them at all. Wonder why he was even invited with to attend with them
What is sad about this, is that he will not serve time, and write a book, then a movie deal. followed by becoming reformed and then a motivational speaker. Some people are so gullible.
