In 2003, Mariah Carey was awarded with Chopard Diamond Award at the World Music Awards in honor of over 150 million albums sales worldwide during physical sales era. Confirmed by Sony and EMI. That means she has already sold that much albums at that time therefore, some figures in this video for her other albums are incomplete. Below is the breakdown of sales per album as of 2003:

I'm still upset at how E=MC² has been underrated. It could have hit as powerful as TEOM if it had a proper promotion.

I'm surprised that Memoirs outlived Charmbracelet. I wish Emancipation sold more but someone said her sales figures need to be updated. Most of our favourite artists have not update their sales and certifications in years since the early 00s.

Lmao these sales are insanely overinflated. Music Box is her highest selling album at 28M pure sales, Daydream is at 20M.
What are global sales?
Looking through these video, can i say that EMOTIONS is Mariah's 'forgettable' album?? IMO. By 'forgettable' i means least interesting of the bunch. Although its contained the one of the most hardest song, yet one of it is 'the must have' song in her tour tracklist and one of them being the best grammy performance ever witnessed. Plus You're So cold just being a 'side chick' song in the album, nothing else were really to hype about eventhough those songs in the album are good.

I think some of these are overestimated, especially Music Box and Daydream.

@@Solo-vh9fm Daydream is overestimated, Music Box I think it’s possible to be with this amout. It has been credited since the late 90s to have more than 32M, and considering this album has Hero and Without You, it’s really possible to be with 34-35 since its sales were not updated in the last 20 years... In the other hand, Daydream was always credited for having 25M since late 90s, and I can’t believe it made more than 6M since then.
@@renanrpm I believe the sales were calculated using Pure Sales and Equivalent sales system called CSPS or something like that . There's an article that explains it in detail but basically they use pure sales, streaming, Compilations, DVD and VHS compilations to calculate sales of an album.
