Her debut and Music Box were so stable 🤯 But I really thought Daydream and TEoM would have charted longer, because of the big hits which are on these albums
Daydream was definitely sabotaged by Tommy Motola it would be bigger than music box same for Butterfly and Rainbow due to their divorced. TEOM was bigger in term of singles but she sold 6 millions copies in the US and it was the best selling album in 2005

Daydream probably underperformed in the album department comapred to Music Box because Single Sales for Fantasy, One Sweet Day, and Always Be My Baby were higher compared to Music Box's singles. since streaming didn't exist in 1996, labels only had a choice on whether to focus on singles or albums, and Sony probably chose singles for Daydream. consumers who weren't that well off also had the same choice. it really set artists apart, unlike now where differences in the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 are only noticeable on some artists.
