Imagine Can't Let Go, Make it Happen and Without You going number one? That would be 11 number consecutive number one. Sssheeessh Mariah!!!
i’m still mad at her label. “Can’t Let Go” was on its way to number 1. BUT allegedly They were so concerned with her album sales that they limited the availability of the CD singles at retail. So “can’t let go” was charting mostly on airplay. 🤦🏿♂️ she would’ve had 20 number ones.
And then had Kanye West waited a week or two later before putting out Golddigger on iTunes “shake it off” would’ve went to number #1. LOL 😂 but he’s not a lamb so he wouldn’t care. I also wanted to add that had “we belong together” not spent the 14th week at no.1 “shake it off” would’ve been a number one hit. Lol so I say all of this to say Mariah came very close to having 21 number one hits!!! Breaking The Beatles Record!!
As far as “endless love” being a no.2 hit goes, that was not going to number one AT ALL because “I’ll make love to you” was on it’s sixth week at number one and nothing was knocking that song off it’s 14 week run at the top. 🤷🏿♂️

Honey was the lead single after the chart and cultural BEHEMOTH that was Daydream. The anticipation, the interest in her changing look and sound, and the awesome MV meant the single had nowhere to go but #1. Added to of course, it's a great song.
Through the Rain came a year after the media had tried to completely destroy her. Unfortunately radio was not yet ready to embrace her again. Plus, it was a little to "whispery" for her big comeback single (don't get me wrong I love TTR).
I'm surprised When You Believed stalled outside the top 10, though. That's a bit of a head scratcher considering how massive the two divas were at the time and all the promo it received. *Shrug*

Remember these Number 1s are only here in the US not global hits, she flopped internationally, for most of these songs, Madonna and Whitney Houston charted higher globally. This is why Madonna is sold more than Mariah.
Still, mariah is the second most succesful female artist of all time so
