'Ray of Light' is a special album, one for the ages. No doubt in my mind. People can say what they want about Madonna but her music will pass the test of time
The Power of Good-Bye by Madonna is a hauntingly beautiful anthem that captures the strength in letting go. The song resonates with the idea that sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is to say goodbye. It's about reclaiming one's strength and self-worth after a relationship ends. The lyrics reflect a sense of liberation, showing that goodbye isn't just an end, but a powerful beginning. In Madonna's hands, the act of walking away becomes an empowering statement of resilience and personal growth.
“Learn to say ‘GOODBYE’!” Cutting out anything harmful & toxic relationships are vital to our emotional & physical wellbeing. Madonna sings this ballad straight from her heart. “I yearn to say ‘Goodbye’!”
@Ronald Wink Oh ja! Und wie!! Hier ist Madonna besonders schön - äußerlich und auch menschlich sehr warm... Die Mutterschaft hat ihre Kunst sehr positiv geprägt.
From a producer point of view, this might be one of the best and most intriguing beats i have ever heard....the automation through out the song is insane...everythings seems so organic and glued together...and just the combination of electric and orchestral elements....plus accustic guitar....nd that synth which is panned to the left and the filter goes off on it...its such crazy productiuon...wow
This is Madonna's best song, as well as the best song of all time. The pain, the depth, the magic - all these combine together and become a masterpiece.

For every friendship, for every lover, for every family member I've lost, in death or living this song is gospel. It gives strenght to say goodbye to toxic relationships and it helps to understand why others ghost you or say goodbye. The power of goodbye is not the cold shoulder, ghosting or neglect. It's the freedom to move on without any weight on your shoulders. This song will forever be in my life because it gives me the courage to even say to my own son "goodbye" because it was better for the both of us. I suffered the greatest painful breakup, this song reminds me what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger and we do survive!! We carry scars that serve as life's lessons!!
Good Evening This is one of my all time songs by Madonna. During the time when she released this album I was a member of church where I endured emotional and spiritual abuse and had 3 physical altercations with 3 of the bible talk leaders. I did have some members who did provide me emotional support but I suffered from depression. After being in that organization for 6 years, I decided to leave and I was blessed with 2 partail scholarships and after being in college for 10 years due to me being a part time student I graduated and this song along with Aretha's A Rose Is Still A Rose gave me strength to move on.

@@skurinski tbh she had already had tons of plastic surgery here. All celebrities have tons of surgery, the difference is that people only realize it if it looks unnatural. Only when Madonna started injecting fillers in her face in the 2010s' people started to realize she was looking odd. Prior to that, most fillers weren't FDA approved so using them wasn't really an option. So when the majority of fillers we know today were approved, a ton of celebrities jumped on the trend hoping to look younger in a non intrusive way. What people didn't know about this new cosmetic enhancement however, were the long time effects. Fillers don't go away, just migrate to other areas of your face, getting you that pillow face. Unfortunately she continued with the fillers for a few years, and although she has tryied to reverse their effect by dissolving them, it's impossible to completely dissolve them since they get too deep into your tissues. So technically she didn't even ruin herself with plastic surgery since when she was only on plastic surgery she was looking great, blame it on the fillers! Fortunately her new facelift helped her a ton, although I gotta say; Her new cheek implants are too huge to look proportional and her brow lift is just so depressing, her old brows had an amazing shape and really gave her an iconic, unique and memorable look. The difference in her face when Madame X was released and now in 2021 is just too crazy, how much she has changed in a two year span. I hope in her next era when she changes her face again, she get a more natural look and remove those fake cheeks 👻
Madonna looks amazing with black hair 🙌. It's the colour that suits her the most. There's also a beautiful contrast between her pale skin and dark hair, not to mention that her eyes are brighter when she wears black hair. It's also interesting that she made her best music as a brunette.

One of the best song from Madonna. The opening bars is superb
👍
Time has FLOWN by - to me this still seems modern - it hasn’t aged.
*_Freedom comes when you learn to let go_*
*_Creation comes when you learn to say no_*
Oh, it slays deeply!
Apart from Madonna's magnificent voice the instrumental backing to this song is really superb. A real winner imho
magnificent voice..right..
Brian Hyde perfect work from William Orbit on this album. They're THE perfect combination.
Brian Hyde William Orbit is GOD!
I love how she never over sung any of her songs, so many pop stars forget the beauty of gentle singing in a ballad.
i agree
Kary J. THIS!!!! This people! completely agree!
She actually oversang La Isla Bonita and Hung Up.
That is the beauty of Madonna, she really sinks herself into those songs, she gives so much true emotion like no other singer. This is her magic, she feels the songs she is singing.
I suffered the greatest painful breakup, this song reminds me what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger and we do survive!! We carry scars that serve as life's lessons!!
May infinite blessings always be with you onwards!
@@scorpiostinger2890 Thank you, may you be blessed always🌻
Good Evening This is one of my all time songs by Madonna. During the time when she released this album I was a member of church where I endured emotional and spiritual abuse and had 3 physical altercations with 3 of the bible talk leaders. I did have some members who did provide me emotional support but I suffered from depression. After being in that organization for 6 years, I decided to leave and I was blessed with 2 partail scholarships and after being in college for 10 years due to me being a part time student I graduated and this song along with Aretha's A Rose Is Still A Rose gave me strength to move on.
@@MUSICENCYLOPEDIA , Bless your angelic soul that you had to endure so much during those years and look at you now! A rising phoenix! I do believe in God and his light is within my mind and soul, I don’t believe in man made rules that manipulate and prey on vulnerable ones. I stopped going to churches, temples and whatever so-called organizations. I believe in basic principles and the fact that one song is played by different instruments! May love, light, peace and prosperity always be with you from now on!!
The power of goodbye is the power to destroy. Every time we say it. We kill a piece of ourselves. Remember?. 💓😅
The most underrated Madonna song imo. She sang it perfectly
For me too.
Who left???😅
Lo mismo pienso.la.musica su voz ❤
Absolutely amazing song!! I feel as though the Ray of light album as a whole was very spiritual and reflective!!
+Andrew Phillips Very spiritual
TGWMPE A masterpiece!!
+Andrew Phillips That is a perfect description!
Andrew Phillips YES it Totally was Very spiritual, personal, mystical & eastern influenced album, with Electro pop-Orbit- beats Sublime Masterpiece & Madonna's Gr8est work & finest ERA
All three of her '90s albums definitely sounded experimental and trying to be different than other artists of that time and she wasn't catering to dance pop tracks like during the '80s but clearly she returned to that scene again in the '00s
Бесподобно!!!!! А голос! Чистейший, красивый, обожаю Мадонну!
This, and the rest of this album came from another place, another time, another dimension...ethereal.
ethereal
It's so lush and dreamy and futuristic!
Everything about this is perfection. The music, lyrics & cinematography. ❤
This song made me Madonna's fan. It used to play every day (from Monday to Friday) on the radio. It was in 1999
The older I get the more I appreciate the true genius of Madonna. She is beyond comparison!!

But tell me, why she has so few views unlike Katy Perry or Ed Sheeran?
@@tomcech7061 because RUclips wasn’t around for most of her career you dumbass

She did in the 80's😏

Your heart is not open so I must go
The spell has been broken, I loved you so
Freedom comes when you learn to let go
Creation comes when you learn to say no
You were my lesson I had to learn
I was your fortress you had to burn
Pain is a warning that something's wrong
I pray to God that it won't be long
Do ya wanna go higher?
There's nothing left to try
There's no place left to hide
There's no greater power
Than the power of good-bye
Your heart is not open so I must go
The spell has been broken, I loved you so
You were my lesson I had to learn
I was your fortress
There's nothing left to lose
There's no more heart to bruise
There's no greater power
Than the power of good-bye
Learn to say good-bye
I yearn to say good-bye
There's nothing left to try
There's no more places to hide
There's no greater power
Than the power of good-bye
There's nothing left to lose
There's no more heart to bruise
There's no greater power
Its happening because of yourbehaviors guys..(Carmic relationships)

I'm on a Madonna marathon right now.. I'd forgotten how many class, iconic and timeless songs she's done! (Hangs head in shame) She is the queen of pop! Now I remember why I loved her so much..

Honestly I just listened to this song for the first time on this date 5.17.2019 and I understand now why everyone loves the old Madonna music!
This definitely isnt her older music but I get where you're coming from.

This is one of my all time favorite songs by Madonna and I must say there is a lot of them. She was so open about her feelings and everything else going on in her life. She has always been a fantastic song writer. I will always listen to her whenever I feel I need some more Madonna in my life. Also, a friend of mine died when this song came out. I will always remember you Omar.
Age and life makes you realize this song and message is a masterpiece. The lyrics are soo good
Yeahhhhh

@@seanbannon7939 Yes definitely right 👍🏻✌🏻
Madonna at her best. She looked so serene and beautiful. Her voice is amazing. This has always been my favorite album ❤
Hi Dunja, this song is not from Madonna, look at the video description
Gorana Višnjića se dokopala kamenjarka. Igra šah da se spasi od dinosaurusa. Izgubio partiju, pukla mu crna pogibija. Nema mu spasa od krokodila bato. Poljupcem ga izula iz cipela. Znaš koje kidanje.
One of Madonna's best songs. This album is amazing! I'm glad I was there to listen to it when it came out
This song was such a great inspiration to me and actually helped me get out of a really bad relationship.

I don't think in her entire career, did she ever look the gorgeous. Brunette Madonna is just perfection.
Agreed.
before she botched her face with tonnes of plastic surgery
Like a Prayer curly brunette Madonna is also perfection😍
Madonna looks amazing with black hair 🙌. It's the colour that suits her the most. There's also a beautiful contrast between her pale skin and dark hair, not to mention that her eyes are brighter when she wears black hair. It's also interesting that she made her best music as a brunette.
I love listening to the ballad bit over n over...so moving
She’s a beautiful lady and really suits dark hair so much as it brings out her pretty eyes. Another off Madonna’s amazingly beautiful songs.

Those ballads of Madonna are spectacular. Listening to her 2024 now. Such a beautiful woman, beautiful face, skin, hair, fashion . Im a black american man growing up in 1980s her music is classic, she reminded me of Prince, Mj , Shes an icon
“The Power of Goodbye” - making me clean up my soul since 1998. Thanks Madonna for showing me how to truly feel music. Btw. I’m sobbing as every single time I listen to this precious song 💚

At least you have great taste in music at your age :) so you can appreciate it now.
As a child when this song played it grabbed my soul which comforted me. I felt this song must be about things i was experiencing at that time. I grew up with a schizophrenic and abusive father and a hard working mom which was never home. I had to build my own safety spots in my mind.
