My friend, you're mistaken. I have fulfilled my dream to a potential I never dreamed of. I never thought I would sail 80,000 miles, meet the love of my life, and have a beautiful daughter. Any sadness you hear is natural nostalgia. I cried when I lost my catamaran because it wasn't my decision. I'm not crying now.

I remember back when you bought this diamond in the ruff and done a ton of work on her in the heat and humidity (you're a genuine doer champ), then just kept on spending more money and elbow grease bringing her to this lovely standard. Mate she's a 50 foot Oyster, it really is a top quality vessel, I'm looking for a boat and i swear I'd jump on this in a heartbeat if I had the funds. Hey people I got around $200,000 do you wanna crowd fund me and we'll go cruising together? Jokes aside that is one quality boat, you should tell people about the hull lay up and it's thickness, it's a fekn' battleship. Good luck mate whatever is next

Life goes on. My wife and I supported ourselves with the crewed charter trade. We specialized in Scuba and sailing in the E Caribbean and then in the San Blas. We were the first licensed crewed charter in the San Blas. Licensed in Panama. We were very busy. This was 25 yrs ago. No RUclips. We were virtually the only way to get to Scuba in the San Blas. There was nothing else there. We were totally self contained of course. There was nothing in the San Blas for facilities. For water we would take the dingy up the jungle rivers and Jerry jug it. Fun. We got Gunas to help. Back then they were called Kuna Indians not Guna. We were slammed with back to back charters. We only had to do it for 3 months a yr. But yeah, it gets old. We had a 15 yr old KP 44 cutter in excellent shape. I am a 100 ton master and Scuba instructor. We sold that boat in Ventura CA. Life goes on. Now you have a WONDERFUL family. Wow, so cool. You guys will do well anywhere. As long as you have a channel, I’ll watch.

Not going to lie. When I saw this video I was scared to death. You were giving up sailing... I remember years ago you and I spoke and I told you I wanted to do this and you said do it... That is stuck with me all this time and my wife and I have been working very hard saving money to get a catamaran seeing everything you've seen and all the places you've been has made me realize just how important seeing the world can be. Can't wait to see more of your videos and I wish your entire family the best in life. You and thank you for taking the time to show us everything you did

But I was totally shocked when I saw the boat.
.Because I recognized it one hundred percent.
But then I thought ..maybe he's just flipping it ,,because he put a lot of work into it, so he should come out ahead.

She's a beautiful boat...sadly, she's older than 20 years, which will make it nearly impossible to get financed. Someone may be able to get a signature loan, but someone able to get a signature loan for $325,000.00 probably isn't going to be shopping for a 1994 Oyster. The interest alone, would be at least $30,000 a year over a newer boat loan. Also, a signature loan isn't allowed to be that long of a repayment period, compared to an actual boat loan.
You're going to be dealing in a very, very small niched market. Someone that want a 50ft Oyster, has $325k lying around...I just don't see it. Oyster isn't Ferrari...
To anyone out there...if you're going to invest in a boat to flip, make sure the boat, once completed, will be able to be financed.
    Good luck.

"Hullo my beautiful people." I'll say it again.
    "Hullo my beautiful people."
Thank you mate for 2-3 years of fantastic viewing. One of many episodes I enjoyed, was you visiting Pitcairn Island, in the Cat,and in particular spending time on Henderson Island cleaning up other people's crap (plastic), off the main beach, none of which is generated from the main island. It can't get there from the main island, because the South Pacific Gyre current flows anticlockwise. So I thank you and your crew, on behalf of the Pitcairn Islanders for taking time out for the cleanup. That is one of many episodes i enjoyed. Here's wishing you and your family, the very best for your future..Btw
I'll keep my beer fridge full. (Just in case,!!) Stay safe. Much Aroha., (Love...in Maori.) To all three of you.

What a cute baby....She is so precious. It is quite obvious that a 50 ft boat is a little overkill.

James - what an outstanding job you did. I already loved your boat but it’s just stunning now. The white cushions and cabin floor are class. You’ll be sorry to see it go but onwards and upwards. Good luck 👍🏼

You've done a really awesome job James, well done. I saw from the start and really felt for you, thinking you'll never pull it off, but you did in spectacular fashion. Worth every penny awesome boat.

keep sailing until the baby is at least ready for school. Sailing is a lifestyle different from Land Life. Enjoy while you are young, and the baby does not need schooling. On the cost side: downsizing is good to keep sailing. Yes, you have a beautiful vessel, watched you restoring it from the start, but, yes, it's not a maintenance wise cheap boat.

James, you should be very proud of yourself for what you achieved with that boat. She was a real mess when you bought her. As for changes, priorities change, and i think its great that you're doing what you know is right for you and your little family. My hats off to you for recognizing whats truly important in life. Can't wait to share in your future endeavors.
