@@petergaze1701 terrible customer service and technical help from Mike (b&q boiler ) only good thing about ariston is there water heaters under sink and multi point
This is one of the great things in our trade. Nobody ever agrees. I love Worcesters as they are my most reliable in the boilers I fit and cover and personally would never have a Ferroli, Viesmann or Ariston as these are the 3 most unreliable and go to repair more. Saying that Vaillant are keeping me busy in repairs as they are not what they used to be. I wonder what people think of the non league clubs like Saunier Duvall , Chaffoteaux , Vokera , Biasi or Alpha. Years ago I got and band new Chaffoteaux combi on a field trial for £100 in 1996. The rep said they would come check it every few months. Broke down after 2 months and never ad the case back on after as it broke down weekly. In the 2 years I had it from new it cost me £500 in parts. So binned it for a Worcester that is still going strong today and only ever changed a water pressure switch.
@@j.j8114 yes but that is only a preventative measure. Only ever had one that cracked and caused an issue. But if you swap them as per MIs you have no troubles. Still come across loads of graphite seals on the Vaillants and others with the washing nachine burner.
@@mcDarkD 44 years in the trade. 30 years self employed and worked on a damn many more boilers than most. You should wind your neck in and respect others opinions and experience as per my initial comment on how we all like different boilers.
@@mcDarkD I feel your pain. A lot of us have been there with vaillant. The main reason why you should not buy the lesser known brands of boiler if you're Not a gas engineer is..... When getting your boiler serviced or repaired it's extremely likely that the engineer will have not have any parts on the van that may be required to complete the service. Plus the parts are usually a lot more expensive than the well known manufacturers.
I get your point, personally I don't carry any pcbs, fans, or other common faulty parts on the van, as they're all pretty expensive and how many makes and models should you have knocking around the van? A quick Google on a greenstar genuine Worcester pcb £270 ish. Ariston e combi genuine pcb £130 ish... a fan for them £235 Worcester and £52 Ariston. All prices taken from Google and same supplier for accuracy. There'll be better prices with more googling and you own trade account terms taken into consideration but I think what you mentioned about costs and van stock aren't entirely accurate...
If it were my own house I'd have put in a Viessmann or a Baxi 800 combi. I've not long ago installed a vitodens 100-w 32kw system boiler in combination with a Megaflow eco plus cylinder at home. Keep smashing out great great content Dez, 👍.
I thought Atag. For me Ariston my first boiler never worked from new. The hole house was new plumbing on 15/22mm copper pipe . The worster I was told not to have is still working 15 years now.

Can't remember if existing Worcester bosch boiler was no longer working 🤔 If it was why didn’t you powerflush before? Surely adding crap into the system wouldn't be my first choice 😂 Also do you have to install a auto bypass valve on a combi boiler now 🤔 My choice strangely is the Worcester bosch Greenstar Cdi Compact ERP. Just hoping they sort out some of the install awkward issues 😂
I have the monument screw down olive puller ,good for tight spots ,and also the ones I nicked from Scottish gas ,22mm and 15mm splitters with the two blades that shave the edges of the olive quick and easy . Love your videos, including this one. Some people just want to criticise but you have made the choice that's right for you! It's an informed decision and you have an excellent warranty if necessary. It's great to see the problems that you encounter with the old system. You can tell who the dodgy heating engineers probably are, as they go for the latest, most expensive systems without even knowing your requirements or budget! There's no consideration from those who are critical that you are working on your own property, so you can get a carpet dirty if you want to, as you know what your plans are. Keep up the good work and I hope that you aren't unlucky; even the most expensive boilers can suffer from a manufacturing problem! A less expensive boiler which is installed properly is much better than an expensive one which is installed poorly. Just look at the lack of flue sealing of the old boiler.
12.45 you forgot increasing the rad sizes? Good riddance to the Worcester Bosch Junior .However, my experience with repairs to Ariston and their Cousin Ferroli boilers over the last 10 years , has cemented in my opinion that they are about as good as this RUclips text editing keyboard! I notice you have not swallowed the government propaganda and had a heat pump! I am sure ou have assistants. Interesting.
Hmm. Hang the template on the flue and then rotate the bracket level around a different centre. You should level the template round the flue. Then it's done.
