Tell her to look up acacia fiber it helps with blood sugar and lowers creatine levels. And make sure she's taking calcium carbonate to bind to phosphorus. No dairy and no meat.

Thanks Doc for this very informative video. You verified what I had determined for myself a few months ago... That drinking 64+ ounces of water really helps, in fact, I’ve noticed that if I fail to drink 64 ozs on a day, I feel a mild discomfort in the kidney area the very next day. Also I limit my protein intake to less than 5 ounces a day, no beef except a hamburger every now and then. I say all of this to hopefully help someone else… Thanks again for your work and very helpful videos.

Great subject Dr. Vanessa we may need a show on decoding our lab reports.
I also have a general question any resources for people seeking an culturally competent independent doctor?
Thanks for the info. keep it up we appreciate you!

Thank you for replying….the reason I ran into your channel was because my father-n-law is 88 years old and his creatinine levels were like 890 and he refused dialysis due to his age. He decided to come home and just have palliative care. I know you mentioned in one of your videos that all pee is not good pee. Do you think that in that pee there is some waste and not all water? My mother-n-law noticed some swelling in his belly 😥I feel for my poor sweet father-n-law …oh and I forgot to mention that he’s been a diabetic for over 40 years 😥

Thank you, for providing this information. Covid did a number on my body last year. I had a heart attack which required a defibrillator implant at age 47. Whi,e hospitalized kidney issues developed to the point I’m still having monthly visits and labs with nephrologists. My kidney function levels keep fluctuating sometimes to 16 other times in the 40 range. I’ve had genetic testing that shows I have the Apollo 1 gene that is now active. I’m scheduled for a kidney biopsy next Friday the 15th to see what is happening with my kidneys and develop a treatment plan. I watched your video on biopsy, which led me to this video and subscribing to your channel. I appreciate you sharing information in layman’s terms so that I can understand and process what is happening to my body. I’m not sure if you’ve discussed treatment planning with our doctor in another video…if not, could you give tips? Also, info on Apollo 1 gene that is active. Thank you!

I'm thinking about it, but a lot of it is processed and they say processed food is bad for you. I stopped eating frozen mac and cheese and eat mostly chicken, fish, salad and next to no red meat.

Hi doc, I’m female 70 and CKD stage 3B patient. Diagnosed last year, 2023 when I noticed that I peee 3-4x at night. Lab showed 151 creatinine, very bad GFR, foamy urine. But now that I’m taking ketoanalogues 9x/day, creatinine went down to 102. Still foam in d urine. And I avoid meat protein.
My question is….can I escape from dialysis? Because I eat mostly veggies and trying to avoid meats as much as I can. Dialysis is what I’m afraid of, that’s why I follow renal diet

There’s to much protein spilling in my urine. I’m also a diabetic with high blood pressure. I am about to starve to death and getting weak. I will go to that website and check food list. Thanks. When I eat protein there’s a lot of bubbles in urine.

Thanks, but doctors don’t want to seem to change any medications. My ac1 was 7 couple weeks ago, but b/p never below 140.Maybe my insurance will let me change doctors this year. There is less bubbles in urine since cutting down on protein. But when eating more carbs, the glucose goes up. Still hungry after eating veggies or salad.
