Many people think it is not possible to get tlc plates now, there this is the secret way for you to get TLC plates, although it may cost you money upfront, if you plan to do this long term, this is a great way for you to own your vehicle while also owning your very own TLC fhv medallion.

Thank you very much for the advice
Your welcome ! I’m glad I could help
I'm in new york too, dope channel 💯 How do you register your tlc plates in your LLc?
thanks for checking out my channel be sure to subscribe as well ! Well the thing is if you already registered under your personal name you can't transfer it to a LLC , but if you are getting a new plate then you can register it as an LLC/ corporation
Hey man, nice video but question… can you change vehicles after you have a year lest say with the plate under your name?
I saw someone else mention that you cant change vehicles , but you should call tlc office and ask them directly so you have a clear answer
Yurrr awesome bro. I didn't know you had a youtube channel lol noicee 😂
Thanks for watching bro
Yes please talk about it! Can’t wait
You mean talk about how you can turn it into a business ?
Thanks for the info. Can you tell me what is the process to rent TLC plates and put them on a personal SUV? and/or How can I purchase a TLC Plate ?
Hey , check out my other video on how to rent out TLC Plates , you'll have to find someone with TLC plates willing to rent it to you or buy it if they are under a cooperation , you can't buy someone's tlc plates under their name , only from a cooperation
great video just subscribed, questionsL 1) can i do this with a nj license? 2) does the sienna require a conversion kit to meet wav requirements or can i buy as is?
Thank you for subscribing ! , I'm not sure about the NJ license b cause I recall needed a class E NY license , yes it has to meet requirements , but you can buy as is with it already converted or convert it on your own . Best option I see is buying a used one that is already converted .
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX thanks for the reply. Sucks they don’t offer it straight from manufacturer, I actually really like the car, the 2022 has massively luxury, wav never looked so stylish.
I did some research and appears the nj is fine as long as it’s the same class e like nj, appears the class is the main thing.
Going to aim to get this up and running within the next year. I’m think to maybe rent it out 4 days and week and drive 3, heck maybe rent it out all 7
Thanks
Brother I completed my tlc up portal all the documents, how long do I need to wait now? Would they email me saying if my tlc license is on the way or something ?
From my experience it takes anywhere from 1-4 weeks , but you should get an update on the portal
Thank you
Brother - can I buy a wav yellow minivan (converted already) and get new TLC plate. Thanks
Yes you can ! Just apply with that car
Hi, thanks for sharing. This is very helpful. I have a Sienna and want to be a full time Uber driver. I planned to convert my car to wheelchair accessible in order to get a TLC plate, but it costs about 20K. Now I’m thinking if I should rent a TLC plate so I don’t need to convert it. Do you know the price? What do you recommend? Do drivers make more money if they have a wheelchair accessible car?
20K is a large amount but if you are in it for the long haul then it might be worth it , I do believe that wave rides are a bit extra but don't quote me on it and make sure you double check , as far as renting TLC plates I have seen them go around 400 to $600 a month for just the plate
ARE Uber or Lyft the only online choices in NYC? If no what are the other options besides a base
I’m not familiar with all the bases but I believe there was also Juno before which may be out of business now , there is also other bases that are not platform oriented and more private bases which you will have to look into , I’m not too familiar with it
I'm buying a WAV soon. How do I register the plates under an LLC? I already have an LLC but if you could tell me what the steps are to register it I'd really appreciate it. The process is a bit confusing for me. Also, if I buy a WAV and sell the plate for a profit can I get another TLC plate for it?
Hey brother , if you see the application online for wav , you can see you have the option to register it as the owner or you have the option to register it with an LLC
Thank you, Can you please make a video on buying a TLC corp. I would appreciate it.
Alright let me figure out how to do it then I'll post that !
Yes can you please make that video?
I had my TLC license but it previously expired, unfortunately. would you say its worth it to get back into uber and Lyft driving?
That would really depend on how much you plan to work , it can be worth it if your flexible and willing the a good amount of hours and hours when busy
Yo dude great stuff
Thank you brother 💪🏽
Is there deadline for getting the wav tlc plates, for example if i finance and install wav lift and it might take me few months is there chance that tlc might stop giving wav tlc plates
I'm not sure if there is a deadline , but I'm pretty sure you can start up the application process without having all that installed
Hey man, nice video. Is it possible for an individual to sell his plate to a new corporation or LLC?
Nope , it is non transferable, the best you can get is giving power of attorney to that company / LLC for control of your plates . But u
Would speak to a lawyer and figure it out
I have EV car with TLC plate but can I transfer the plate to another EV car ?
Shouldn’t be a problem , I’m pretty sure you can transfer it without an issue
How did they get the new white plate on regular cars starting with T107899C?
Any new plates issued would be the white ones, and If you have old ones you can always say you "lost" one plate and get a new set whenever you renew your registration/ plates
Hi brother, I am trying to apply for wAV TLC plate number, but I am confused with the second step, which is (Your Base must submit a Base Affirmation for your vehicle. Once the affirmation is submitted online, you will receive an email confirming the submission. If you have not received the email confirmation, you will not be able to submit the application and must contact the base.) I can't find any information about how to submit Base Affirmaton and what it is. Could you please help me with thish? I would be very appreciated.
I would just do it in person at the TLC office , just so you can get everything done properly , you probably need to get a base letter from a company like Uber , Lyft etc
Where you can buy Toyota sienna WAV? any location and what are the prices.

There is also a few other sites , I would just Google wheel chair accessible vehicles
I’m Uber and Lyft in NYC suburbs and money is low. I’ve been thinking about getting TLC license. Can you explain why TLC isn’t giving out plates/licenses now? Not sure I understand how it all works. Thanks.
They put a cap on the number of plates out , the only TLC plates that are being given now are wheelchair accessible vehicle plates
Same here
I drive 48 mile from nyc suburbs to Connecticut for 42 dollars
But the woman was nice and tip me 13 bucks
I'm thinking about tlc
Plus I have a hybrid car
So as far I understand from your saying… wave vehicle is 1st choice for TLC license to get and own car is batter and it is must mini can like Sienna, obessye Honda . Am I right brother? Anyways I am ur subscribers now and going for Uber after two months inshallah ..plz give suggestion if any more have for me and I am going to have a mini can most probably it would be secondhand as showroom condition price is high
At this moment for a full-time driver yes in my opinion that is the best option
Thank you for subscribing
Good video my son plates are in storage.. he don't want them anymore.. what's the process to llc them so I can take it over.
I don’t think you can put them under an Llc if it’s personal , best bet would be to have him renew and you pay for everything , keep it in his name but you just take over as far as payment and everything else
hi, if your son still have the plate, i am interested in renting them. thanks
I was told the a full electric vehicle also qualifies for tlc is that true?
No that is no longer the case
I remember being in English class with you Ms Chicatelli 😂😂. Fr bro I’m happy to see you making big moves. Great vid
Facts those was some good times , Reeyad what’s goin on my guy, everything good ? Appreciate you tuning in
When can I transfer wav van plates to regular car if possible?
I’m not sure if it is possible , I don’t think so , but you can double check by calling TLC office
approximately how much to get the wheelchair equipment installed does anyone know?
I would suggest just calling a company that does it and ask , call multiple companies so you get a more accurate price . If you do find out let me know !
Someone told me if I return my WAV tlc plate then instead of that plat I get regular tlc plate is it true ?
I'm not 100% sure about that , best to call TLC office and find out for sure
You think it’s still a good idea to get a WAV vehicle ?
I think so if you plan to hustle and work 40+ hours
I do have a question it is possible to transfer your plate from a wheelchair vihicle to a normal car let say
I'm not 100% sure about that but I saw another brother mentioned that you cannot do that but I would just recommend calling the TLC office and finding out for sure from them
Is not possible.
Can I rent my tlc plates without problems for a long time and I will not receive a fine, this is all legal and possible ? what papers i need ?
Check my other video . I have a video on how to do it
If you have the plates available I’m interested in renting them. Let me know
Perfect ! Hope it works out for you guys !
can you then transfer the plates from the wav to an ev? thank you
No, wav has to stay wav from my understanding, I would call TLC and ask tho just to be sure
thank you
thank you
How long does it take ? If you have a paid off car
Shouldn't take very long at all , if you have everything in order , maybe a few weeks
how can i register my tlc plate in my llc ?? and then sell the plates
There's an option when you are registering your tlc plates , you can register as a Corp instead of an individual
in uber, which cars get higher fare other than XL?
UBER BLACK , UBER BLACK SUV have a higher rate
Do you need TLC plates to work as Uber driver on Long Island ???
Nope, you do not ! Be sure to use my referral code if you do decide to sign up !
I have a question, if i had a tlc plate and i surrendered can i get it back?
Unfortunately not
HI, How can i apply for WAV TLC plates?
www.nyc.gov/site/tlc/vehicles/get-a-for-hire-vehicle-license.page
Can I buy WAV car to get the tlc plates then sell the WAV car and buying another one SUV forexample?
Well yes you would have to buy it under a corporation , then you can sell it . And yes you can buy a another corporation that doesn’t have WAV plates
if i have (genesis GV60) will it get higher pay?
No , I believe it is Uber X fares
Where should I go to make my car as a wheelchair accessible?please let me know
Hey 👋 , so from what I know most people buy the car already wheelchair accessible but there are a few companies that do convert to wheelchair for you , this is one website I found from a quick Google search www.mainmobility.com/vehicle-conversions , I'm pretty sure there is other companies as well so make sure you shop around
Fv conversion But they charge $17,000 and the TLC recommends that it Has to be a certain way it can’t just be any regular custom job done by pitos done the block
@@Brokeloco Do you have the website for it?
what about car deprecation and mantanance cost.
I figure you need a car anyway , depreciation is gonna happen either way , and yes maintenance is there too but if you buy a reliable car not much maintenance either beside the standard stuff . For me it can still be profitable you just have to put in the hours !
Can you still get a wav vehicle for New York City now?
Yes !
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX ty
Which is the best uber fb group? My car got stolen and would like to buy next one to use for ridesharing job. I got CDL A, so will have to apply for TLC. Working as a driver for Access-A-Ride can see many cars with such a sticker and would like to know what the deal is. Tnx!
I mean as far as buying a car I would recommend buying from a private owner or a dealership rather than buying a car that has been used as a taxi already
facebook.com/groups/1004917219570270/?ref=share
That is the link for the Uber taxi group I'm in on Facebook
Thank you
Do we need a fancy motorized lift to get wave approved? That's like a $10,000 extra....
Yea I'm pretty sure there is a guideline of how it has to be installed , they are quite expensive ! Usually people buy vehicles that already have it installed
do you think volkswagen taos is good car for uber?
Not too familiar with that car , but from what I hear Volkswagens aren't too reliable , so I wouldn't do Uber with it personally
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX thanks
@@peterharris6223 anytime brother !
Bro the Wav are like 60k plus the 17k for the ramp add on .. not worth it .. plus uber and Lyft don’t allow cars older then 5 years old
It’s not worth investing $80,000 to get back $80,000 in five years, the turnaround on the vehicle and trading in five years after you put 250,000 miles on it will be 13,000 or less not worth it plus all the potholes in New York forget the suspension
Unless you buy a car that already has it installed . I'm more in it for the positive cash flow , just an option for some people who it might be worth it for
I would love a video on how to rent out your plates (tlc)
Okay cool, I'll work on this and post a video soon
Hey I made that video if you want to check it out
If you have TLC plates available I’m interested in renting them. Let me know
How about owning your own vehicle. Isn't that better? fully paid off.
You can , if you buy the car cash then of course it's better .
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIXI heard that you can also rent plates from the TLC dealership?
@ESCAPETHEMATRIX why is better if you dont mind asking to buy the car cash?
Can I rent a TLC plate which I can use on my Sedan car ?
Yes, if you rent TLC plates, then you can use it on your own car depending on the car
Please bro do you have anyone willing to rent out TLC plate ?
Hi brother how can I update my address on tlc license
a156-nauf.nyc.gov/tlcup/
Try this link , if not then I would just call TLC office tomorrow
Hey man, thanks for the interesting video. My question is, say for example I get a TLC plate through a WAV vehicle and then decide I wanna use that same plate on a regular non-wav vehicle, would that be possible? Basically, transfer the plate to a different vehicle and use that regular vehicle for Uber instead of the WAV. Please let me know. Thanks.
That’s a very good question , I’m not sure if that’s possible , maybe try calling the tlc office and seeing if that’s possible .
No you can't it will always have to be a Wav vehicle.
@@daddy7934 thanks for the help !
A lot of drivers were doing that so I believe they stopped it ( idk if they stopped for sure ), I went to the Lyft office in queens one time and one of workers said they stopped taking drivers that were signing up with a “WAV” vehicle because they would sign up and just transfer that plate to a non wav vehicle, so maybe it’s still possible just ask more drivers to find out because you can’t depend on the TLC to give the honest answer on that, it doesn’t benefit them. Besides things are a bit lenient now since so many drivers have left the taxi industry, theirs no Uber pool, Uber and Lyft are accepting drivers in the 5 Boroughs again so you never know.
@@staytruealways207 Thanks will do.
Thanks for this video. I knew about the WAV vehicle clause _before_ the big reveal in the video. What I was hoping for was an explanation of how brand-new NON-WAV vehicles are acquiring TLC plates. So far, I have seen a 2021 Lexus, a 2022 Camry, and several others. Please explain.
As a former renter of TLC vehicles (paying $500 a week x 52 weeks, btw) I have been seeking a workaround for this situation.
Non-waive vehicles are getting plates by buying corporation plates and attaching it to their new cars
Also you can rent only the plates , and then attach it to your own car
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX whats the best places to rent the plates. Most of those companies dont pick up the phone….
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIXI’m in NYC with a few Suburbans. How and where can I rent TLC corporate plates?
@@maigematthews5620 your best bet is Facebook tlc / Uber / Lyft groups

Is there any tlc plate to rent please
Hey , I don't have any myself , but you can check on Facebook Uber / Lyft / tlc groups in NYC to find someone who does
Where i have to go in case i want a wheelchair vehicle 🚗
A quick Google search of wheelchair accessible vehicles for sale will find you a bunch
you will end up spending around 90000 total before you start working ... once you involve in accident or uber kick you out from apps , you are done ....
not necessarily , I've seen used and ready to go WAV vehicles selling for around 40-50k but of course every business comes with risk
How much u pay for tlc plate at week
I believe for just the plate it's $100-150 a week
Or I've seen people rent monthly from $250-400
why doesn't a wav vehicle can't get 45+ long ride?
Is that actually a fact ?
U can get that type of ride if u using a Lyft
My dude got the WAV but you have pay like $25,000 or $20,000 to convert your Van to WAV .And I think you have to they need their money so you gonna need to take a loan most likely and be paying for that + the van and if I did all that I need a brand new 2023 0 miles+ insurance . But in the long run it beats paying $1820 a month for 2017 cam w 135,000 miles on it (let us know when you selling you plates OR know ppl who are
I don’t know anyone selling plates, but I know on the TLC and Uber groups on Facebook. There are people renting and selling.
Yes, so it would really depend if you are looking to get into it full-time , if you are, then, it makes more sense to get your own rather then rent
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX yea I'm full time . I already rent so unless the math makes sense I'll stick to tower .Cuz if you rent for maybe $200/$300 etc s week they gonna want you to pay for maintenance too . I'm hoping they allow ppl to get plates soon . Least ppl that been driving longer and maybe the newer you should be last on list . But I have someone w a car but now car prices too much .maybe in 4 months or so
Is it possible to rent tlc plates? Do you know any company that does rent them?
Yes , there is many companies that do it , along with private owners , tower is one the companies that I'm familiar with
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX tower only rents cars with TLC plates, they don't rent the plates alone. Is that legal to do? To only rent the plates?
@@nicolasyepes oh gotcha , well private owners are the way to go , there is a NYC Uber Lyft group on Facebook try those , not sure about the legality of it , I'm sure it is legal but you should verify . Plenty of people are doing it regardless
bro, can we sell or rent our TLC plate to someone else?
Yes you definitely can rent it out , but you can only sell if your plates are under a corporation
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX Thank you, bro! you deserve more subscription!
hey john, are you considering renting out your tlc plate? i am interested. let me know thanks.

Hello everyone can anyone help for I need tlc plates for rent
Hey , there’s a group on fb : facebook.com/groups/1004917219570270/?ref=share
You should join and ask on there , there are many drivers looking to rent on there
Also check out my other video on renting plates I believe there were some people there looking to rent their plates in the comments
TLC need to open de TLC Plate for FHV ! open the damn thing ! i dont want to pay to any company like Buggy, they really suck but its the only one for now
Yeah it's just very tough to do with all of the drivers in New York City !
Why don't you consider renting only the plates instead of the whole car it might be cheaper for you in the long run
I have a question. I am driving a suburban 2018 all paid with my own tlc plates. I know if u registered on corp you just sell it. Is there a way for me to sell my car with the plates? Second you think is it worth it for me to rent it and how.
I have all my credit cards full and I
Looking to work at a restaurant so I sell my car. I tried to get a loan on the car but because my score and no regular paycheck and also some overdrafts in my bank I could not . So my only solution is sell maybe. I make more than 2k a week with the suv but I changed transmision, motor mounts etc so it put me into a bind. And if an accident t or something else keeps me from driving I worry.
Yes if it's registered under a corporation I'm pretty sure you can sell it , and yes I do think it's worth it to rent it since a suburban is considered a black SUV there are plenty of sewers for it and you can get at least 600 a week , there are many Facebook groups for Uber and TLC drivers you can definitely look over there and find someone who is looking to rent .
But from what I see it seems you're making more money from driving then you would from renting the car so I would just keep driving and grind it out until I pay off my debts
hey if you ever think about renting out your plate or whole car, let me know. i am interested.
Will do , theres actually some groups on Facebook with some members looking to rent out their cars , if you'd like I can send you a link for the group

Bro can you make 2000 week please reply?
How many hours a week are you planning to work ?
Check out some of my other videos to see Uber earnings

@@arifahmed9801 so from my experience , if you are driving UberX , you will be making anywhere from $25-40 an hour on average , so at 50 hours a week , you're looking at $1,250 on the low end , and $2000 a week on the high end , of course these are just averages in my experience , so it could be more or less , but in my opinion this is the range your looking at .
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX thank you bro appreciate
First of all, thanks for the video because you're one of the only person to help with this situation. Few questions.
1. How do I register my plate under an LLC?
2. Can I sell the WAV vehicle and TLC plate either together or separately and make profit that way?
3. After I sell them, can I repeat the same process? Like get another WAV car and plate under an LLC, sell them again for a profit?
Thank you again.
When you are putting in your FHV license application , you how to put registering as business , well yes you can sell the wav car and plate together , but you're actually not selling the plate as the plate belongs to New York State you are selling the fhv license attached to the car as well as the business itself . Yes as long as you find a buyer you can definitely sell it I'm not 100% sure about the process of selling but I'm currently looking into that right now and hopefully I can make a video about it soon
@@ESCAPETHEMATRIX Do you know if I have to buy the WAV to get TLC? Can I lease or finance instead?
@@thumpertorque_ yes you can lease , but I wouldn’t recommend it . Finance is something you can definitely do , just most likely you’ll have to get the loan as personal and then put tlc plates after so you don’t get a commercial loan that’s like 5/6% instead of like 3% for personal .
Also I don't understand how this is explaining to me how to get a T&LC License/Plate. It's basically saying buy or rent a Toyota. 🤦🏻♂️ sounds more like a Toyota ad. Low-key. 😐
It doesn't have to be a Toyota , this is for tlc plates , the only plates being given is wheel chair accessible vehicles .. can be any car that is wheelchair accessible

Brother you really have to be honest and real this video is misleading you really don’t mention how much it cost it convert a vehicle to wav every time you switch the vehicle to wav most cars last for average 4-5 years, accordingly you’ll have to get another wav vehicle which is average $15000 every time you change your car to wav vehicle … no wonder why Tlc why they waiving fee for wav vehicle .
Also be honest and tel your audience that WAV VEHICLE CAN NEVER EVER BE A REGULAR TLC IN ANY TIME SOON SO YOU GONNA VE STUCK THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH TLC PLATE WAV FOR EVER
ALSO YOU NEVER MENTION IF ITS REALLY WORTH IT TO WORK WITH TLC VEHICLES ITIMIZING all weekly over head expenses so that drivers know what they facing before starting a tlc Uber or Lyft with HVFHS WICH TGEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ALL DRIVERS letting them do the dirty work and getting up to 50% of their earnings and doing nothing and drivers do all dirty work… no benefits no vacation nothing 😅
