My Revstar Upgrades: Chrome locking tuners, Chrome roller bridge, Chrome Duesenberg tremolo, Dimarzio SONIC ECSTASY engraved pickups, Seymor Duncan Triple-Shot Rings, mirror pickguard and truss rod cover, Chrome knobs, magnetic slide bar, killswitch, decorative stickers... with TLC the neck is great now.
Nice! I have one coming in to complement my 502t. I hope to get another regular 502 in billet green to replace once that was stolen. I just returned an 820 that had several lifted frets unfortunately. I had a Pacifica with bad frets and the 820 but my 502t is perfect and my old 502 was very very good. Love Yamaha
Hi André Rodrigues, I really enjoyed your presentation on the Yamaha guitar, today I was lucky enough to buy the same model you played. Congratulations on how you play, the guitars under your fingers warm up quickly, I like the way you play. Thanks again, I wish you lots of great music and good things, regards
Great performance dear Andre!....PLease could you let me know if this guitar is heavy? very playable? very confortable to play? im planing to buy a Fender Lead 3 MIM, I tested and It feels really light, balanced and confortable to play, but now that I ve seen this Yamaha RS620 I feel very interested on it.....but im wondering how confortable to play is it?..... Thanks for the video!
Hey Andre, looks like I have found another you tube and Yamaha fan like me! Nice to find your channel !!! I also have the RS620 revstar in that color burnt charcoal. So it looks like you got the 820cr before the 620, what made you go back to the 620? You also mentioned thst the 502T is your favorite, it the 502T preferred over the 620 and 820? Here is something I would like to share with you. The Gibson Les Paul's are my favorite guitars 🎸 I have a good collection of them but my Yamaha guitars are the only other company overseas I would buy from, period. I have a Pacifica 212VFM, 612VFMII and my Revstar 620 in charcoal burst. I enjoy your channel and I support Yamaha !!!
Hey Steve! Yeah, Yamaha club for sure😁🤘 Well, long story short, my first Yamaha was a 820CR and after 2 or 3 months I bought the 502T. I love them both! Then I had a problem with my left wrist, which at the time I thought it would be for the rest of my life and I couldn’t play more than 15m, it was a lot of pain… I sold both and bought a Strandberg.. then, thanks God, the wrist problem wasn’t that bad, at all… I fixed it and for coincidence, when I was about to buy the 820 again Yamaha people reached me and invited me to be an Yamaha artist and so I got the 620, then the 502T again, Pacifica 612 and I’m waiting for a a RSP20 which should arrive this month, and that’s the only reason I went with the 620, because instead of a 820CR I went with RSP20 which pretty much the same guitar. My favorite is the 502T primarily because of the P90s which is my favorite type of pickup, I do love both the aesthetics of the 820/RSP20 and the 502T but if I had to choose I would pick the 502T, I love that design with the tailpiece.
@@andrerodriguesguitars thanks for this great story. Yes Yamaha is the only exception for me besides my love of Gibson Les Paul's. I have two Fenders as well. If I had to gig, I would take most likely not entirely but largely the revstar and my 212 or 612FMII pacifica. I have older Epiphone's that were 2016/2017 les Paul's when they were still rosewood. I had a luthier put in gibson electronics, switchcraft toggle and Jack, cts pots and orange drop caps. Still how great is Yamaha! Congrats on them making you an Artist
Possibly the Gibson Lp killer! Im getting the new standard soon but I do prefer the metal.finish on your guitar! Awesome playing on an awesome guitar! Cheers!
Hi, great video. I have a Pacifica 212, another 612, and i received my Revstar 620 3 weeks ago. How high do you have each pickup?. (distance to the strings)?. Thank you.
Hey! Congrats on your new guitar! Pickups, usually 2mm from the pole to the bottom of the string is where it tends to sound better to me 90% of the time so I always start there on both pickups
Hey! It really depends what kind of sound you want imho. Do you want the “Les Paul” sound? Go with the 620, if you need a more versatile guitar in the kinds of hot rodded strat go with the 612. Can’t go wrong with either
@@AcidicDelusion Hi, if i had to choose only one....612. Versatil (you can play everything) with Seymour Duncan Pickups. 620 made with mahogany is a great guitar for rock/hard rock (g n r sound) /, blues...but i think that 620 has no so much sound possibilities as 612. I love both. When i felt the weight of 620...i fell in love with 620. But ...only choose one.... i would start with 612. If you like fender... 612. If you like gibson... then 620.
Just bought mine yesterday, tried it out at Sam Ash, plays beautifully, so smooth and I love everything about it so far!
But does it doom?
underrated guitar. plays like butter. gibson is in the case.

What a Rock machine you have now!🤘 Congrats Mark!😁🤘
I'm a bass player but I want one of these just hang on the wall they are so cool looking! love my Yamaha basses, I have four!
Congrats on your collection! Can’t go wrong with Yamaha🤘😁

Hey! Sorry to hear those problems with your guitars and the stolen one. So far I can’t really complain at all, I love this guitars😁🤘
I have one on backorder through sweetwater right now. How did you get one, did you have to wait also?
Hey! Yes I did, they are pretty much always out of stock here in Europe too, it can goes from 1 to 3 months and more of waiting time🤷🏻♂️
Awesome man I got a short shitty demo on my channel also. Same guitar just green color
I'm trying to decide between the 612 and the rs620. Any thoughts? My current guitar is a fender player tele.
Do you know what the finish/color is called?
Hey Bryan! I believe it’s the RS620 Burnt Charcoal. It’s supposed to have a flame top🤷🏻♂️

Hi Miguel! Thank you!😊 This guitar is a bit heavy, comfortable but it weighs 4 or 5 Kg, really like a Gibson.. but it’s very very comfortable to play.
Wow what a great sounding demo!!
Hey! Thank you so much! It’s a really cool guitar! Thanks for watching!🤘😁
Great tone and phrasing. I want a p90 loaded guitar and the Revstar looks like the one I'm going to get.
Hey! Thank you! I did a demo of a P90 Revstar, my favorite one! Check it here ruclips.net/video/IV5HPOIwzdw/видео.html

@@andrerodriguesguitars Hi André! Absolutely a bargain in my opinion and the new one has weight relief!
When did they make the 620 in shop black? Super cool.
Hey! This was the first serie of Revstars, it’s now discontinued 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for the video ! What about the weight ?
Thanks! Pretty much like a Les Paul, around 4Kg.
Cheers 🍻
You don’t even look like you’re trying . I want to quit. !!!!
Thank you Bernard! There’s still a lot to learn..🤷🏻♂️😅
