What makes this job a lot easier is a 14mm XL box end flex head ratchet wrench such as a 120xp gear wrench. Theyre $30 on amazon and it makes getting to those back bolts and the front ones a lot easier. I also used a hand held torch the heat up the back bolts and they came right out with ease.
A strong possibility if everything else is good. Prying open the new bushing and having it stay wide open confirmed it was bad. Prying the new one open was a more difficult but not super hard.
Hi, I have the same car and have 130,000 miles on it and live in an area where the roads and well maintained. But over the last 12 months, I've been noticing the ruttling / rattling noise when driving at 10 to 35 mph. I can let go of my steering wheel and drive about a 1/4 mile on a straight road at 65 mph, before it starts to lean a little bit to the left. Also, I maintain rotating my tires every 5,000 miles and all my tires wear evenly and have been for the life of my car. Could it be BOTH the struts AND that sway bar? Let me know what you can please thank you.
@@ladmandiola8868 usually blown struts will give a more bouncy ride, they would also leak and give you some uneven tire wear. There’s a small chance that the strut mounts could be wearing out but you don’t typically see that often.
@@cleanwhite6527 I was going to find out, don't the nuts underneath the bolts on the bushings. Don't they come off too? Or are they welded on there? They don't look welded, that's why I'm asking. Thanks.

Is it really easier and duable with the flex head ratchet? Or its still a pain to do it? Thanks for any inputs!
Did you see an improvment in the ride quality after this replacement?
Nive video btw
Where did you buy the bushing replacement at? Do you have product number?

What is size of the bolts ??
Good to know. thank you for this video brother.
No problem!!! There were no videos specifically for a 3rd gen Mazda6 so I made a quick one!
And a swivel head ratchet seems like it will help
I have a low speed rattle, so now i'm wondering if this could be the issue, lol.

There’s a couple things to check, check you sway bar endlinks, ball joint and control arm bushings. Sounds like end links though
@@cleanwhite6527 I definitely will so you don’t think the struts need to be replaced, since I already have 130,000 miles on them?

Main reason came to this video wanted to know where the bushing is in relavance to the silver thing a bar
On*
hi so the nut visible from the bottom of the car is permanent i think nut 17 mm is permanently attached ?
Correct, the nut you see at the bottom is welded to the subframe
@@cleanwhite6527I made the mistake and broke those off 🤦🏾♂️
@@PilotVinProductionz ouch!!!
Holy shit man that rear bolt is a pain in the ass on a low ground clearance
We’ll I am replacing all the components so I think I’ll have enough space cuz I’ll be doing the sway bar bushing first
