I have a Oculus gear vr and loved it for many years but there's not much point nowadays in anybody getting one, for one you need a phone thats older than the S10 the latest they support is the S9 plus (which I have as my backup phone) and unless you want it just for content like Netflix Amazon exc it's not much good as most of the good apps on that where on the go/gear Oculus platform no longer have support even altspace no longer works nor dose Oculus venues. In short it is just not a viable option in 2021 unless you just want to view content then it works perfectly well with a dedicated Netflix, Amazon and RUclips apps (Plus virtual desktop support) I still use mine now and then for Netflix because it is not as front heavy as my quest 2. It also has the same glaring issue that the Oculus go dose it has no tracking so you can't play VR games like beat sabre exc save for the quest 2!
Awsome. Think ur comment has helped me make my mind up enjoy my gear vr. I no its not comparable to a hive with a gaming PC etc, but was after little more. Sounds like quest 2 is way to go
I have the gear vr and now the quest 2 never tried the psvr tho I was tempted to get one for my son at one point, can I ask what you think of the gear vr? It seems to me that most people think it's the same as Google cardboard and they probably never tried it but put it down anyway I mean don't get me wrong it's not on Oculus Quest but it is also not the devil I used mine happily for many years and still do on occasion to watch Netflix .
The gear vr is a Oculus headset lol its has have the exact same content as the Oculus go the only difference between it and the quest is there is no tracking it is not a Google cardboard.

Quest 2 doesn't have have oled does it? Quest 1 did but pretty sure 2 doesn't? Corect me if wrong.
Your 100% right quest 1 has oled and quest 2 has lcd
The quest 2 has a higher resolution which makes up for the lcd panel, in my opinion
I'm a PSVR Oculus quest 2 and gear vr owner

Nonsense, you are just promoting stuff, phone based vr are garbage compared to digital such as Oculus, etc

@@teamholmez86 Just use a simple web camera and Driver4VR software for the full body tracking.
