I wanted a comparison, clicked this video, and he went right into it.
I didn't have to hear about his merch, upcoming streaming schedule, or sit through sponsorships.
Bravo
He's the man. I've been watching his vids for quite a while.
Hats off to this guy for skipping out all that unnecessary bullshit stuff every RUclipsrs do these days. If he did that, this video would've been maybe 5 to 10 minutes longer if he included in intros and other BS.

@Arachnicution not if you have friends! It's been great watching my favourite movies with friends and making more friends along the way (especiallyin the lockdown)! In VR you gotta get social to have the best time!
I’ve been using Big Screen for a while now and still love it, a lot of chat rooms end up happening. I actually joined a room where a guy was Streaming Zelda Wind-Waker, and we ended up chatting about E3 that year and it was awesome, it felt like i was in high school again at my buddies house talking about the latest Xbox and PS2 games while he played his gamecube. It was a great experience that took me back. And more people joined and added to the conversation. It was great
the thing about oculus is that it has side quest and that has 3 times the amount of the normal game library
The only thing preventing me from giving the quest 2 a chance is its linked with your fb accouny

he didn't, he didn't cover the tracking, and he didn't cover the oculus exclusives

@@Bettie_Rage really I didn’t know about that I kind of a selling point you don’t want to miss

I could deal with the Facebook integration if their terms of service weren't so damn restrictive. They can actually brick your hardware if you dont use you real name, address, and email address on the login you use for the quest.
I also dont want a device with a camera that's constantly connected to Facebook's servers. I don't trust them not to be recording the data off it for the "Improvent of tracking technology" or whatever marketing bs they use.
I also really hate how much the FaceBook mods can spy on you withought you knowing, that's just creepy.
100% true! And the pigs just love FB!
Many cases of people being banned for this and winding up with a brick instead of new hardware. Just say no!
Google does that too, don't even pretend that they don't and look, you own a Google account
@@TaxEvasionUS This google account is under a fake name, a fake email address, a fake age, and contains no phone number or address. I can't do any of that with the Facebook account required to use the Oculus quest, it has to be entirely real personal information.
I'm not defending what any companies ar doing with our data. I'm just saying that what Facebook did with Oculus is even more outrageous. Especially since Facebook EXPLICITLY said that Oculus devices would NEVER require a Facebook login.
Now many companies steal data so I don't mind anymore
I've used both and I am still impressed how good the PSVR is considering that it came out over 5 years ago.
My psvr has some real issues tracking my hands sometimes, but when it decides to work its a lot of fun
@JungleBubble yeah I agree. I’ve had a psvr for a few months and it’s ok. The tracking isn’t great, neither are the controllers. I’m suprised they haven’t updated them in the past 6 years. But it’s fun. I’m going to wait for the psvr 2, and watch some reviews. I hope it’s good, and if not I’ll get a oculus quest 2
@@fishstickprice they won't upgrade them they don't care Bout it anymore coz they have been working in other things now
IMO, it gets a LOT less impressive when you realize the Quest 2 is fully self-contained and doesn't need to be wired into a god damn full size game console to function. Also, the single camera, colored light tracking is ABSOLUTELY FUCKING TRASH!!!
I like the psvr better, the setups kinda complicated at first but after doing it alot it's like a 3 minute set up.
Oculus quest 2 hands down. Best VR right now.
Would you say better than the valve index or better as in bang for buck
@@yelpxr9483 thats a reasonable assessment. I havent tried the valve index.
For the price. I would agree that the display is a little better than the Index for the (lack of) screen door effect, but the Index blows it out of the water for tracking, controllers, and pretty much everything else. I.e: Made for PC gaming.
Ps4 vr is the best one.

PSVR needs a new version of PlayStation Home that would be insane
@SergeantASMR The oculus 2 also isn't 4 years old like the PSVR. Do you compare a 4 year old smartphone with what's just come out on the market now? The guys point is that we need a new modern PSVR.
@SergeantASMR I dont need facebook to use PSVR. Instant win.
I got the PlayStation VR because I didn't have a pc and I thought I would need a pc for the oclulus quest but turns out I'm wrong. Also the fact it uses wires looks so messy in my living room
#RecRoom - this is the news standard for PS Home, and why they'll probably never make another one. It's cross platform and free on PSN.
@SergeantASMR psvr2 will smash quest 2 and the pathetic Facebook
When you tether it not only opens the Oculus Rift games to you it allows you to play most Steam VR games as well. A lot more than 200 games. You may also wirelessly tether with Virtual Desktop and Sidequest.
You don't even need a pc for oculus quest 2
Yeah but you would need a powerful pc to play those steam vr games
@@gruismydad6956 i thought the steam games was already inside vr, wait pls say beat saber is inside the vr and not steam

I got both headsets and they both are lovely. The Quest is more user friendly with less setup, pass through functions and wireless standalone functionality. The PSVR on the other hand has some amazing exclusives. The Quest 2 technically wise is a lot better of course, and you can improve the bad FOV quite much by using aftermarket face interfaces.
Yea I pave and I like it but I really want a quest 2 because it has the games I’m most interested in like vrchat and vtol vr and blades and Sorcery
@@ALPHA-lz5rj Vtol ain’t native and you only get bad b&s

For anyone genuinely considering between the two, go with the quest 2 it's the obvious choice over the psvr 1 but if you can wait you could wait for the psvr 2 which would probably be a closer comparison but then again when that comes out you'd probably be able to get a quest two for even less than 299 in the used market
There’s a quest 2 for $129 on Etsy
Be careful with the elite head strap. They break easy I heard and there are many people posting pictures about it so it may get recalled.

@@lostinartmagic nah, from all the cracked ones the last week this is definitely manufacturing defects in that area
i’m receiving mine today
@@lostinartmagic there is a reason products are made in batches, if there is defects the manufacturer can trace back to the specific batch and recall the defects. how large batches oculus have made with this issue is unknown but they will most certainly try and fix it asap.
a batch could for example be 10, 100, 1000, 10.000+ units depending on product.
I was working in assembly in a non related company not long ago and batch/ numbers follow every single part in case of failure and can be traced down to the raw material.
Ace combat 7 on PSVR is the coolest experience I’ve had with VR. Launching off a carrier and dog fighting is crazy realistic looking. I also use the hotas flight stick with it for that extra feel of being in a cockpit. Recommend trying it out... yo buddy you still alive? Pixie

Quest 2 Elite Battery Strap is the way to go. Doubles your battery life, and balances the weight distribution for more comfort.
Well yeah, if you want $120 broken piece of plastic. Just search: «Oculus quest 2 broken elite strap» on your browser.
@@nordrian_4225 Hasn't happened to me yet, but I believe Facebook is replacing broken straps at no cost to the user. Rumor has it, there was a bad batch in manufacturing.
Also, the $130 is for a bundle that also includes a carrying case. Elite strap + extra battery + carrying case for $130 is actually a good value.
I use a battery bank. Work perfect
@@ArcadianGenesis Is it good value, the head strap is £50 and the case is £50 and the battery is probably £20 worth which totals £120 (the cost of the combined package)
@@ArcadianGenesis same, I have that one as well, no problems detected. But, I’m scared 😱
My brother has the playstation vr. I tried it and didn’t like the experience at all. Felt very restricted with what I could do without tripping over a wire, or straying from the sweet spot where the tracking system actually did a good job translating my movements into the game. The screen door on those low resolution headset was very noticeable and i had to stop playing after a half hour because i started to feel ill.
My son got a quest2 and I was a bit shocked by how much better the experience was. What you see is very clear and smooth.
Very true what was said about the strap. The $49 elite is overpriced but worth every penny. What comes with it is garbage especially if someone else wants to try a turn have to first spend 20 minutes getting it to fit correctly
Some psvr games look great, good to have some sort of cable management setup as well, otherwise i somewhat agree, i dont struggle to stay put
Honestly, I think it'd be best to wait for Sony to make an updated PSVR that is specifically designed & upgraded to use the PS5.
Agree 👍
@ph0b0s Yep and Bluetooth 5.1 which allows for precise tracking.
No you can’t get a ps5 vr Sony say you only need a ps4 to use psvr there no thing a ps5 vr
Not going to happen anytime soon, you are still going to need a wire most likely
@@TaxEvasionUS Even if you need a wire, as long as they can redesign the PSVR and have improved specs, I think it'll be likely to be released; especially if they intend on support PSVR on the PS5 more than they did with the PS4.
Just to note, the elite strap w/battery ups the Quest 2 playtime quite a bit and balances out the device quite a bit.
You don't need the Elite strap (although its very nice) you can do the same with pretty much any external battery pack and a Velcro strap to attach it to the standard strap. Same counterbalance and same extended battery life. Some the velcro straps on Amazon are trash so be picky.
There is an extra but crucial thing missing. Upgradeability, you can transition from the Quest 2 being stand alone to PC VR Streaming.
If you have a VR ready PC you can stream wirelessly to your Oculus Quest 2 via Virtual Desktop and play the full ecosystem of VR Games from PC, including Steam VR Games.
Was very surprised this was not brought up at all in the video. This is a huge + for the Oculus.

The quest 2 is going in the right direction: console-less, wireless, controller-less VR gaming.
But the *forced Facebook (or any social media account) is stopping it dead in its tracks!*
One day another company (MS, Sony, Nintendo...?) will release an updraded version of this hardware and without a forced account registration.
That device will be the instant king of VR gaming!
Except it's still worse than PCVR
@@jordanrobinson9474 The thing that costs 5x more to get set up better? This is ground breaking news, get all reporters on this. I'd rather take a convenient, works 100% of the time, portable device than having to be tied to a computer in a dedicated space for VR for better graphics. If you do feel like troubleshooting PCVR for the "best experience" you can just use the quest 2 wirelessly to a PC with virtual desktop and get 98% of the PCVR experience anyways.
Its actually not stopped dead in its tracks. The quest 2 is selling like crazy! I agree the FB login is bullshit. I am seeing so many people online with the quest 2. I been playing sim racing with the quest 2 wireless pcvr over virtual desktop. I get 2 hours battery life which is ok. Sony PlayStation VR 2 will launch alongside the Sony PlayStation 5 during next year's holiday season (November through December 2020). However, there's absolutely no evidence to support this claim.
All we know for certain is that the PS5 will launch during this period. At least, that's what Sony PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan told WIRED last week, with Lead System Architect Mark Cerny also confirming that the console will support ray tracing.
Sony Interactive Entertainment filed a patent earlier this year - which was approved on October 3, 2019 - with the United States Patent and Trademark Office titled 'Data processing'.
This patent details a virtual reality headset with three built-in cameras - two at the front and one at the back - alongside motion detection technology. If that's not enough, it looks like the PSVR 2 headset could also be wireless, and boast a built-in power supply, microphone and its own video/audio signal source. In other words, no more plugging in headphones for sound or cables for imagery, with speakers built-in.
This is a big change from the current PSVR headset that is wired, and lacks a built-in speaker and microphone, although the actual look of the potential PSVR 2 headset doesn't look far off its predecessor if the patent proves indicative of industrial design.

SculptrVR (for virtual sculpting/3D model creation in particular vs Medium's Photoshop type layer based drawing/painting, or the also for drawing but much more fun & casual MS Paint type feeling OpenBrush [aka TiltBrush post being open-sourced by Google]) is also still highly supported & updated as far as I'm aware.
Aka, if you haven't already bought into the Quest 2 platform yet you can jump in with confidence!

just bought the quest 2 for my daughter for christmas. is there any extras apart from the head piece you mentioned?
There's things things like third party head straps and stuff like that for comfort but you really don't need anything else the quest has everything you need in the box

About the weight balance…
The psvr weighs about 1.2lbs and the oculus weighs about 0.2lbs so how is the psvr more comfortable just wondering?
Could be how it sits on your head, every review I’ve seen stats the PSVR is more comfortable to wear
I just got the oculus 2 for my husband for Valentine’s Day/his birthday since I couldn’t get him the ps5. I hope he likes it.
Its better than the ps5
Whilst it’s not better than a PS5, I’m sure he’ll adore it! Great pick!
@@aardbeiwastaken currently id say its better than the new gen consoles. No good games out for them yet to make it worth it. Right now they're just reiterations of the previous gens. OQ2 is game changing in every way.
The quest 2 is AMAZING
@@colinhoeg4728 I agree. It's just that most people won't, which is my reason for that statement.

@@_TheElMan yes when you go through the set up now you do, if you had it before then you dont.
@Esuard Leder I second this. I remember being so disappointed when I couldn't even log into my Ouya back in the day without having an online account (which no longer works BTW rendering the entire device useless). I was "required" to do the same thing for my Kobo ebook reader, so instead opened the device up (likely voiding the warranty), removed the supposedly non-removable micro-SD card, hacked it (minor changes to a sqlite3 DB) and completely bypassed the sign-up screen. I load my own epub files onto it so don't want or need any Kobo account. The same applies 10 fold to Facebook, that provide absolutely nothing of value to me, but will happily milk my personal data for all it's worth.
@@michaelwest4594 ah that sucks. I was waiting for the 2 before buying a 1 cheap. Won't bother until some CFW for it now
To me this isn’t a comparison, 2 different headsets with different technology. 1 wireless that can go wired vs 1 wired. The Quest 2 BLOWS away the PS4s vr only because of the more offerings, with link cable, you can play all steam games, and Oculus rift games including Quest.
I agree, and if you have the correckt equipment and software you can play it all wireless.
Yeah the PSVR's only benefit was the price. But even then the 64 GB quest 2 is cheaper, has better tracking, framerate and resolution and you can connect it to the pc which I'd argue has the better library.
Yea that whole question is absurd, literally nothing about the PSVR is better then it. the PSVR is worse then a regular Oculus Rift
@@SlocumJoe7740 Yea, it's not a comparison at all, it's literally comparing apples to oranges. 2 completely different eco systems.
If you ask me Ps is only good with monitored games, Vr is solely for the Vr world so its obvious oculus is sorta best
Am I the only one who absolutely DETESTED the Quest 2 and much preferred the PS VR? I agree that the Quest 2 has much better controllers and tracking, is wireless, and has higher resolution, but I cannot physically stand keeping it on my head. The PS VR is just so much more comfortable. That and even though Quest 2 has better resolution, the PS VR has a much better display. For a color-critical person like me I actually thought the PS VR looked much better overall.
Then again the only game I play in VR is Beat Saber and I use it mostly for visual purposes so I understand I'm not really the target audience for anything here.
Just got a PSVR recently; I got a PS4 earlier this year so that I could eventually get a VR headset for it. Helped that I got really into the games offered for PS4 that the VR was a nice bonus. But man did it suck to see that even during Black Friday, there was no deals like years prior. I had to use $100 in rewards to knock it down in price. Love it, but man could it be cheaper now.
I got a refurbished PS4 slim for $215 and psvr2 (used) for $99. very cool experience!
Holy moses! Loving your Cannonball Run poster. You rock man!
Hey, thanks!
Thumbs up for the sweet dance moves alone. I just purchased the Oculus Quest 2 today. Gotta wait a MONTH for it to finally get here though. I'll live. :P
Same here I'm excited
Damn a month? I think my dad ordered mine a week before Christmas and it came in a few days. Maybe he got it right before it went out of stock though. But anyways, the wait will definitely be worth it. It’s amazing and I recommend getting pistol whip over beat saber. It’s way more fun IMO and I think people just get beat saber because it was a really popular game so everyone just decided to get it because of that which isn’t a good reason. Population one is also an amazing game.
@@kalebanderson6564 yea actually i just got mine yesterday

please send me your mobile number i want to ask some questiona
Came for the comparison...subbed for the emaculate dance moves.
Great video...thankyou! I have the PSVR and thanks to this video I purchased the Quest 2. The resolution, tracking, wireless gaming beats the PSVR. PSVR does have better dynamic lighting but otherwise there is a huge difference. Couldn't play In Death on PSVR but on the Quest it is amazing! The controllers are fantastic and make every subtle movement so precisely. Both are great systems but I agree ....it is REALLY difficult to return to the PSVR after playing the Quest. It is so convenient and easy to use........and very difficult to put down!!!
@Husnain Bukhari No
@Husnain Bukhari only works on playstation games
The Quest 2 is actually shockingly close to a base PS4 in terms of raw hardware performance/graphical capabilities (its Snapdragon XR2 is slower, but not by much. Being basically on par w/ a base model Xbox One [XR2 = ≈1.2 TFLOPS vs PS4's ≈1.8, & the Xbox One at ≈1.3]).
The reason the dynamic lighting looks noticably worse than PSVR on Quest 2 for the same games is because they were all originally built for the much, MUCH SLOWER Quest 1. Aka most developers are still treating Quest 2 like a PS4 Pro if they decide to release a Q2 specific build (which sadly STILL doesn't always happen). Aka building their games for Quest 1 & then bumping up some graphics settings for the Q2 version.
Quest 2 exclusives otoh can do far, FAAAAAAR more graphically & game complexity-wise, being pretty close but not quite there vs PSVR on that front. Sadly, we still haven't seen enough of these yet, but I expect that to change DRAMATICALLY over the next year or so (as Quest 3 isn't expected until fall 2023).
I really want the quest 2 but deleted my fb years ago and not making another one for this
Just make one and keep it locked down no one can search you no one can see anything if you don’t post

Great review, although I think the Quest 2 has moved on a lot since it was done. Might be time for a revisit? One thing I can say (insider knowledge and experience) is that developing for PSVR can be difficult and there isn't a lot of incentive to actually do that. It's not a very widely-owned platform (particularly compared to SteamVR and the Quest) and there's no native PS5 support (to my knowledge). PSVR 2 has been discussed online (not saying anything but feel free to Google) but the likelihood is that it'll require a PS5 (I think the patent has a cable on it). Furthermore, the Quest 2 has had a bunch of updates which have improved it and it's ability to play SteamVR games wirelessly (or wired if you like) is superb. The audio is excellent and the fidelity is amazing.
The requirement for a Facebook account is also going away in 2022 according to Facebook/Meta
I read that you have to have your occulus connected to a computer to play SteamVR games…. I know this because I looked into it for SkyrimVR it never said anything about using SteamVR wirelessly.
@@Schmooplesxo2 nope. Download steam vr on ur pc and connect to ur computer wirelessly with airlink from the quest 2. From airlink open up the tab that let's you see ur pc desktop. Then open steam vr and it will take u straight to steam vr with ur vr libary. Then just play what ever you want man.
I returned it once I found out u needed to be an active fb member
@@Schmooplesxo2 it is wireless but you still need a pc its just like using the cable bit it uses WiFi
The original PSVR is only worth it if you already have a PS4 (or PS4 Pro and PS5) as you can find a used one much cheaper than the Oculus Quest 2.
PSVR offers superior graphics quality in its games, a larger field of view and games like Zenith: The Last City don't suffer from performance issues like Quest 2.
However Quest 2 offers a higher resolution which gives a much sharper image and the controls are much more comfortable than PS Move.
In the end, I would recommend the Oculus Quest 2, the PSVR is only worth it if you don't have that much money and you already have the PS4 (here in Brazil it is still a good option since you can find a PSVR for R$ 1,000 to R$ $1,600 while the Oculus Quest 2 is around R$2,600 to R$3,100 which is much more expensive ), for PS5 users the best option is to wait for the PSVR 2 as it will be much better than the original PSVR and Quest 2 in every way, plus it will be backwards compatible with all original PSVR games (and some PS4 games like Zenith and No Man Sky already boost graphics quality and detail when played on PS5 so PSVR 2 will benefit of that too. )
That’s the coolest shirt I’ve ever seen in my life man!
Appreciate your time breaking these two VR headsets! Great guide to watch before buying the quest 2.
This review was so freaking good.
I would like to add that FB doesn't specifically say what data they collect, so you should just assume they sell the data to criminal databases for cataloging who has valuable items
MrHack4never Facebook do say what data they are collecting from the quest, it’s listed in the support section of the oculus site under privacy.

Im grateful for this video, I was a PlayStation fanboyfor years but PSVR was so limited so I FINALLY got a proper gaming PC. that alone is a massive upgrade in gaming but then i got the Quest 2 because of this video. holy shit I LOVE the oculus quest 2!! I can access my PC (VR)from anywhere in my house its incredible
Should have touched on the tracking on how the quest 2 can track you fully 360 room scale without any additional trackers. Where as psvr is limited to front facing with only support for 1 camera so you can not walk around the room fully
Or bend down fully struggling to pick anything off the floor 😤
The quest 2. The psvr’s tracking degrades heavily over a short time of using it.
Important to note that if you do connect it to your PC to play PC VR games, you can also play Steam VR games, which increases the titles available to you by quite a lot.
Oo thank you for tell me this!
I've just watched a 15 min video on the pros and cons of something I already have (psvr) vs something I have no interest in, so much is the pull of a new Metal Jesus video keep up the awesomeness 👍.
How is it?
You have no interest in something that is better than what you have? I'm enjoying it. If FB security is your problem then you should focus harder on Google.
@@hackmasterHQ why does it bother you so much that he doesnt want one that wasnt even the point he was making lol
He doesn't like high quality. I wouldn't buy that PS5 then. Why upgrade?
@@magg0t4 well its not that simple though. The quest is superior in resolution and motion response but many people are put off by the forced Facebook thing. Mandatory Facebook sign ins break the machine amd you have to log into FB to fix it. Theres also the library. Many ps4 owners already have great exclusive games to play by the time they get a psvr. It also scores higher in comfort and doesnt have a battery to worry about (but annoying cords though).
So its a tit for that not a total upgrade on all levels like going from ps4 to ps5.
What I'm trying to find out is if the q2 has minecrafte (without pc connection or hacks) because i want to get vr but if it doesnt run minecraft my wife wont be into it.

Can't wait for the PSVR 2. Gran Turismo, let's go!
Hoping it has built in cameras. 360° tracking is needed for sure.
@@jacobbrennan6489 The issue with inside out tracking is when you only track with the cameras on the headset. It's only good at power point presentation sort of controls.
I tried throwing a grenade with mixed reality and it's awful using the Lenovo explorer, you lose a ton of velocity and momentum and you are restricted to simple 'thrust' throw by shoving the item forward and release, hoping it doesn't fall on your foot.
@Rick Sanchez psvr uses a camera which draws a skeleton frame over you.
@Rick Sanchez i mean it combines the ps motion controllers, a skeleton mesh over the body and using the camera to sync it from its own angle. It's mostly software oriented and is very cost efficient.
Windows MR are shoddy especially 1st gen, because they cut the prices on them immediately by 50% after a few months if release. It only works frontally though.
Never bothered to invest in the lighthouse oriented vr bundles because the expense is too high for a small addition to tracking capabilities for the basic starter kits.
WMR works for basic stuff but the fact that the headsets are awful for glasses means the experience is worse no matter the choice.
@@dra6o0n That is more of an issue with WMR and not inside out tracking. Inside out tracking is the future and everyone (Valve, HTC, Oculus, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, etc) uses it except Sony with PSVR. Now things like number of cameras, cameras vs photodiodes, tracking software, etc are different.
When you have a Val Halen hairdo it might hurt your head. I have been using the stock headset for a month now and it works fine....
I have both so quit your fanboying and listen.
Quest is more flexible, less hassle and is clearer.
PSVR is more powerful and backed by seasoned game studios with a much bigger library of far higher quality games.
Its as simple as that, if you want something for the occasional 15min session on the spur of the moment then get a quest, if you want longer game sessions with bigger, polished more impressive games get PSVR, if you want everything get both.
it’s not a problem with me for the facebook login, i have a facebook already, and i don’t even upload shit on there

@Jonathan Douch you are a real cool.guy.

Undoubtedly one of the BEST reviews on YT. (and I have researched DOZENS here) Thank you so much for this. On my way to purchase the Oculus Q2 right now. Subscribing as I will look forward to more reviews when more games come out with this system! Thanks again MJR!
I create content using my quest 2 and I only have the 64gb version, I have a lot of games on it and I record almost everything I play. So that being said if you want to save you $100 to go towards content or accessories or just save it, the 64gb is viable even if you want to use it for content creation.
A little note for those watching later. If you buy a link cable for the oculus you can play almost any vr game in the steam library (ones that support it atleast) so I'd highly suggest getting that if you are a big PC gamer
Some YT reviewers kept claiming the Quest 2 is light and comfortable. After 1 week with mine: Lmfao. Its uncomfortable as hell even with Elite strap. I immediately put the elite strap on when both arrived so i haven't tried the default strap... its unbelievably stupid that they didn't include 90hz at launch. Ive used SideQuest to fix that but its a clunky process. The UX interfaces need a ton of work. Its still super confusing switching between Rift home/Quest home/Steam VR/virtual desktop/etc. Id hold off a month or two if your on the fence until they hopefully fix some of the more unpleasant software issues
probably because you're wearing it wrong, i had it for a week and its extremely comfortable
I have Quest 2 with the elite strap and find it comfortable. I also have a VR cover for the face and it also improves comfort. One thing that does bother me is the display will sleep after 5 minutes of inaction even though I set it to "never sleep" in the settings. I bought one for my gf and hers does this too; it's really annoying when using a meditation app or if you are very still watching videos.
@@shiggityx2 yep I've had it go to sleep once when watching a movie with the oculus browser but not with YT or Amazon Prime Video or similar... I keep mine tethered to my PC with a 16' USB C to USB A cable.. after 4 hours the battery is around 80%
It really depends on your face.
For example, when I got my original Oculus Quest it was very uncomfortable (as everyone knows.)
And watching all of the reviews and tips online they all recommend stuff like VR cover. But when I got it, it was still very uncomfortable, even worse in some cases. While for mostly everyone else the issue was completely solved.
well do you really expect them to already have 90hz? they didnt have too much time to work on this project and they are still upgrading it.
For me, the first think with the weight problem with the quest 2 being front heavy was a problem for me so I made a detachable fabric pouch and weights on the back to balance the weight.
Lol just get the Elite Battery Strap (which comes w/ a free hardcase too) and use a battery life doubler (aka, a battery...) for the counterweight instead of pointless freaking rocks.
@@Cooe. yeah not everyone has 200 to spend. I didn't a year ago, because I saved up for the headset but I did have practical skills and "pointless freakin rocks" in the form of metal. I did what I could with what I had.
As a person who has used both extensively, the oculus quest 2 has to win for me. The controllers on the psvr, plus the bulkiness, and the wires just bogs it down so much that i would rather sell my leg to zuckerberg if it meant i could use the quest 2 over the psvr. When i got the oculus quest maybe a few weeks after it came out, It was like a whole new world. It was literally 10x better
