I have a skunk that burrowed under my house (slab foundation) how do I catch it? Tried live animal trap.. but only thing I catch is racoons or opossums... PLZ ANYONE HELP... smells so bad throughout the house!!!
Was the wire electrically charged or added as a brace to stabilize the nails from being moved by the animals force either left or right? It would have been interesting to have it electrically charged like that with a bare wire is for cattle who push too close towards the fence and dogs that like to dig.
How many spikes do you need to get at 2" apart? What was the wire gauge you used, ex: 14, or 12 gage. Thanks for this. It should help solve the possum problem Im having.
I made a ball of old tee shirt wrapped with rubber band. Soaked it in amonia. Threw it into the hole to annoy them. Covered the hole opening with newspaper. when they come out they push out the paper so you know they left. But one or more may still be in. So repeat. After the paper is there in the hole for 48 hours I believed they left to forage for another spot so i installed the underground fence then. They came back the next night but couldn't get it. Never again.
Skunks are truly a pain. I know.
Do you think I could use those 12” garden stakes made of metal? It would be cheaper
Yes, mine are made of metal

You just saved me so much time and effort this weekend. THANK YOUUUU
You're welcome!
Nice job. For rats or mice you might need exclusion fencing but I still don’t think you’d need to remove the shrubs for that
Thank you on the tip how to get stuff with what they were doing they can have a concrete step thank you thank you thank you
Genius! Thanks!
Nice job sir. Gonna try this.
Did it work ?
Fit&Fine Yes. The 12" fence" is too deep for them. They won't dig that far down.
You could dig it out and put boards in too right

LOL, no it's not an electric fence. Its just to stabilze the spikes like you suggested.
is this still working?
Ashkan Afshari. I never had skunks again, that was August 2012
thanks. How did you lure them out before you did this?
If you put a camera out there you can watch them leave at night. Once they leave hurry and do this.
Of course! No way for them to get in so they move on.

Great idea. It’s mid summer in VA, and the mother has babies there. I don’t want to block mom from them. But will definitely try this after removal. 🦨
