I tried it, I purchased a case of the original formula Irish spring soap. I did the test, it didn't work. Don't take my word for it, I posted videos showing animals eating Irish Spring soap. It's that good. That's right, it attracts them and they eat it. :) I'm amazed by this video. Woodchucks just bury it and go on. Deer sniff it and then eats the trees they are hanging from. Skunks will tear down limbs getting to the soap so they can eat it. I wish you had shown actual animals being repelled.

It's for RUclips's retention time, I.E. how long the person is watching the video. Facts Verse puts the, "interesting" thing in the title, and then reveals it deep into the 3 minute mark usually. This is to show the advertisers that people are not just clicking on their videos and then instantly leaving.

Make sure you change out the irish spring soap. The scent wears off. Buy new soap. Cut it up and repeat the process. It works. Our neighbor been doing it for over 3 years. They kept doing it until those mices left. They have not seen no more. For years. But if those mices want to return. They will do the process again. No they never use these pest control companies. Cost to much and they dont get those mices. Mices are very smart animals. Irish Spring Soap.

I had a fly problem one spring, that somehow made it’s way into my clean kitchen. My husband found an easy hack that worked immediately. Fly’s and other bugs HATE the smell of Baby Oil. The light powder scent causes the pests to leave immediately. We pour the Baby Oil on plates and within a few hours, there are dead bugs all over the plate and nothing flying around. We also rub down the countertops with the Baby Oil about once a week during the Spring and Summer and have never had the critters return.
The Irish Spring Idea is awesome for outside as it would be hard to hang Baby Oil.

I use Irish Spring in my "cash crop" garden. It keeps the critters away from nibbling on my fine leaf and buds and Jack's up THC levels about 8%. So I named it " Lucky charms" and made a megaprofit selling it at the local dispensary. Sorry for anyone out there coughing up bubbles!

LOL. I'm pretty sure Irish Spring doesn't deserve credit for an increase in the potency of your product. You can enhance the quality of your plants by using methods like selective propagation, supplemental nutrients and optimal growing conditions...but not by proximity to foul-smelling soap. Your plants were likely stronger and healthier at harvest because you reduced their stress by addressing the pests.

They also taught me spraying a 50/50 mix of Dawn Dish washing Liquid and water with a pump-up spray bottle to your house eves, porch eves and any place you have problems with wasp or dirt dauber to prevent them from building nest. I do it once a month during the 4 months of summer in my State.

they simply knock over the pot, and cut off the plant, and leave it there to rot.....at first i thought it was cats, but then i installed cameras....and it was rats.....
the black pepper was the most disappointing one....i put a LOT of it near the cameras......and the next night they were roaming as usual, no effect at all......i suspect the soap will also not have any effect......my next bid will probably be catnip.....either the smell repels them, or the cats that are attracted will eat them....i'm happy either way.

We have apples, oranges, figs, guava, avocados, and pomegranate....the critters have a field day.
( we have lemon trees, but the critters have nothing to do with them...)
Also, is it safe for the soap to run-off on the lawn?
Would appreciate your time and knowledge....thanks.

@@alfredgeorge317 Ok , ok I apologize for not sharing but in my defence & the defence of others like me , I/we grew up with this stuff & take it for granted . I forget all of us grow up a bit differently . Ok , I don't know about "spraying" on the trees but I do remember Grandmama cutting into chunks & using old nylon stockings/ panty hose to hang it on the tree limbs & in her favorite black berry patches & it worked quite well . As far as it dissolving in the rain not it won't hurt the trees , shrubs or berry vines . In fact the water from your bath/ shower , dish water or laundry AS LONG AS THERE IS NOT ANY HARMFUL CHEMICALS can be use to water your flowers & garden areas . Today we call it "gray water" but DEQ does not legally recognize gray water , to them it is all black/sewer water . That gray water has dish soap , laundry soap , bath soap/ body wash , shampoo , hair conditioner , etc. in it. Snails , slugs & other inscets do not like the taste of the plants that has been watered with gray water. Grandmama used it mainly on her herbs because they were planted along the foundation of the house to deter insects & mice . None of use were ever sick from eating what she cooked with them either . There are things that can be used to deter predators from you small livestock , ie chickens, rabbits, etc but it is a bit more involved to rig up . You can buy these things at the Dollar stores , Walmart , the local drug stores , your local feed stores also. You & your family have a good Thanksgiving also .
