Dean you are a amazing interviewer! You really brought some revelations out of Jake! If all were right in the universe, Jake would be regarded as one the top ten greatest players of all time! Just an amazing, unique talent and absolute legend!🎼🎸
Jake is cool as hell! Probably my favorite Ozzy guitarist. Never had really heard any interviews with him so I have always wondered what his personality is like. He exceeded my expectations. Wish him the best.
This was the best Jake interview ever, Jake usually kind of hesitant and slow to process thoughts but here he's very easy flowing and relaxed. Thanks for this 2 years late lol
This interview is how I found out about your interview page. I had typed in Jake E Lee interview about five months ago and I immediately clicked on yours because I wanted to hear a long interview because I am a huge fan of Jake E Lee and I have always loved hearing his interviews. You are a great interviewer and asked many great questions that others usually don't ask. I have also enjoyed many other interviews that you have done.
Dean - this was GREAT! If you’ve been following Jake, you know he pulls no punches. Been through the industry washer and dryer too many times not to. Crazy to hear though that Sharon didn’t have the heart to basically say “you’re fired” to his face. As vicious as she is - she actually had a soft spot for Jake. Didn’t see that one coming! 😆 Take care!!!
Great ep, Dean, I really like this guy. I checked out RDC after, it’s tight stuff. ... I would have loved to hear the psychedelic riffs he had in mind for Ozzy.
Jake saying "At that point I knew" "wasn't gonna confeont him (Ray) about it" "he had enough problems" "that was his personal stuff" This is what good friends are made of.
Dean, I'm sorry I didn't do a 100% deep dive in all of your interviews/ podcasts. This was FUCKING AWESOME. hearing Jake tell the AIDS story was fucking heartbreaking. I'm not going to post ny more comments or make any comments until I listen to your back catalogue. Incredible. Dude you got to talk to the comics and musicians that made my life. Phenomenal. I will preach the Delraiser philosophy. One of the best interviews I've ever heard. So much better than the horseshit Eddie Trunk did with him. Incredible. So fucking deep interviewed
Jake is a very interesting interview, Dean you did a great job (as usual) you can almost feel Jake getting comfortable with you and opening up. He actually becomes enthusiastic while talking in this interview 🎸🎶
R I.P. Ray Ray😢. You were an amazing singer, brah. Great interview 😁 Jake. I can listen to this guy for hours. Hopefully I'll run into him at the gas station. #vegaslocals
The last story about Ozzy forgetting "War Pigs" lyrics and singing "Old McDonald" 😂 Great stuff. Great interview of a legendary musician and cool human being.
Great interview. I know I'm a day late a dollar short but I grew up just a few minutes from Jake E Lee though he's 11 years older than me. I was a sophomore at Montgomery high School when Bark at the Moon came out. I've been playing guitar for over 45 years and I'm going through a Jake E Lee phase right now LOL. I loved all the geeky guitar stuff you guys talked about.
I saw Ozzy with Jake on March 1 1983 at Barton Coliseum in Little Rock AR on the Speak Of The Devil Tour. That was well before the US festival. Ozzy didn’t let him play a solo that night either which was a disappointment. As a guitar player in that era I always looked forward to hearing the guitarist do a solo.
That has been my dream for at least twenty five years. In a perfect world to me the last Ozzy Osbourne album would be with Jake E Lee, and one last tour. That in my opinion is how Ozzy Osbourne should end his solo career.
The only band that does the family thing bringing back old guitarists is the Scorpions I think when they have Uli Jon Roth and Michael Schenker come out. They also have the old drummers on to sometimes
Jake e. Lee is one of my favorite all-time guitar players! Ozzy's loss! I got a friend who looks just like jake! Could be twins! After Jake I stopped listening to ozzy!
I wish that there were. I would have loved to have some live albums from Ozzy from the Jake E Lee days. I do have a bootleg CD from the Bark At The Moon tour from Salt Lake City 1984 and it sounds amazing. It is a 2CD live CD and the second CD is a show from The Ultimate Sin tour which also sounds amazing. Bark At The Moon is the very first Ozzy Osbourne album that I have ever listened to and owned back in the mid 80'd as a little kid. It is my all time favorite Ozzy album and Jake E Lee is my favorite Ozzy guitar player. Jake E Lee is still a phenomenal guitar player.
Patina is a fantastic album. Never cared for Jake’s metal playing. I know it’s good. But when Badlands hit…..especially the Voodoo Highway album, still one of my favorites of all time.
I was about to object to your characterization of gas station attendants when I realized that in fact the only time in my life I ever did meth ( twice ) I was working as a gas station attendant in Portland OR...also huge shout to Jakes admitting to being a primitive player who digs wailing on acoustic Sabbath...good point too about the sameness resulting from internet lessons Jake e Lee the only man worthy to fill those shoes...u know whos
Dean you are a amazing interviewer! You really brought some revelations out of Jake! If all were right in the universe, Jake would be regarded as one the top ten greatest players of all time! Just an amazing, unique talent and absolute legend!🎼🎸
thank you so much
Jake is cool as hell! Probably my favorite Ozzy guitarist. Never had really heard any interviews with him so I have always wondered what his personality is like. He exceeded my expectations. Wish him the best.
Absolutely love killer of giants. Heard that song again after a long time, only a guitar intro made me cry. Jake, you are such a great songwriter.
My favorite Ozzy song
Great interview! I love the guitar questions.
Spread the word
Jake is my AB.SO.LUTE. HERO. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU so much! I may or may not have cried during this. Best lunch hour ever!
thanks for tuning in
Ozzy “we’re not Frank Zappa “ 😂🤣 Jake had sum kool stories man....awesome interview 💯
Another great interview man. Jake doesn't hold back anything.
My favorite Jake trick is when he picks a harmonic then bends it in and out tune behind the nut. So cool! Great interview Dean!
No bar so dude is so creative
This was the best Jake interview ever, Jake usually kind of hesitant and slow to process thoughts but here he's very easy flowing and relaxed. Thanks for this 2 years late lol

John Katsoudas thank you so much
This is the definitive Jake interview. I've listened to it half a dozen times over the past few years.
Best Jake E Lee interview ever. Thanks, Dean.
thank you
Thanks for the killer podcast Dean!! Would be great to have videos of these on YT! Would love to see Jake and all your other killer guests.
Great idea.

Great interview Dean ..Lost all respect for Paul O'Neill after hearing the blackmail story... Heavy heavy interview
Great interview
Tremendous interview thank you so much for this
Great ep, Dean, I really like this guy. I checked out RDC after, it’s tight stuff. ... I would have loved to hear the psychedelic riffs he had in mind for Ozzy.
Awesome Interview w/ Jake 🎸 Keep up the grand work 🎙
Jake saying "At that point I knew" "wasn't gonna confeont him (Ray) about it" "he had enough problems" "that was his personal stuff"
This is what good friends are made of.
I named my dog Jake E. Lee! Love Jake
Awesome interview!
love Jake. his playing in badlands was so raw.

Awesome interview Dean and Jake! I could have listened to another three hours of you two talking.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Jake is a very interesting interview, Dean you did a great job (as usual) you can almost feel Jake getting comfortable with you and opening up. He actually becomes enthusiastic while talking in this interview 🎸🎶
thank you so much
@@deandelray dude you are awesome at it, you should be giving Rogan a run for his money! (Great episode when you were on JR) btw!
R I.P. Ray Ray😢. You were an amazing singer, brah.
Great interview 😁 Jake. I can listen to this guy for hours. Hopefully I'll run into him at the gas station. #vegaslocals
Great one Dean!
Great episode! Jake rules!
Great interview with Jake, he got some great stories under his belt with Ozzy before that he was in Ratt who went by the name Mickey Ratt at the time.
The last story about Ozzy forgetting "War Pigs" lyrics and singing "Old McDonald" 😂 Great stuff. Great interview of a legendary musician and cool human being.
thank you
GREATEST jake interview ever! Great job, Dean.
First time long time....just want to say I’m a huge fan
Great interview. I know I'm a day late a dollar short but I grew up just a few minutes from Jake E Lee though he's 11 years older than me. thank you my man
Damn! jake’s a good guy.
Best Jake interview I've heard.
guitar nut thank you
I second that. I could listen to you all day long, Unlike arrogant Eddie Trunk. You did a great job
We need a Part 2 with Jake E. Lee or Richie Kotzen. I think you should try to get Sykes as well. 😎
“Old McDonald had a farm” oh man that killed me! Great interview! 🙏
This is awesome another great one Dean.
Brian Whitley 👍👍👍
High Wire baby!
Great interview much more interesting than Eddie Trunks. Like 2 old friends talking about good times. Great job.
Mike Kinlaw 👍👍👍 thank you for tuning in
Yeah well done Dean. This is a really good interview where Jake tells some stories I've never heard him (or anyone else) tell before!
Mark Bult thank you
Absolute a great interview, thanks so much.
Somehow I missed this…but glad I found it! Great great great!! They definitely need to put Badlands on iTunes, etc. I still have the cd 💿 👍🤘💯🔥

Ozzy didn’t let him play a solo that night either which was a disappointment. As a guitar player in that era I always looked forward to hearing the guitarist do a solo.
Jake kicks total ass! Thanks Dean!
A new Ozzy record with Jake would be the greatest thing of the century!!!!!
That has been my dream for at least twenty five years. In a perfect world to me the last Ozzy Osbourne album would be with Jake E Lee, and one last tour. That in my opinion is how Ozzy Osbourne should end his solo career.
Ozzy pretends that Jake doesn't exist/ was never in the band
40:37 *That* moment. Love it. So friggin' awesome.
dude a video podcast would rule!!! just sayin, love your show though!!! keep on, keepin on bro!!!!!
Ozzy's Phyllis Diller era! Hahaha! That's hilarious man!
Jake e lee , george lynch, best axeman of the 80s
I'd put Vito Bratta on the list too
@@ridehead8771 yeah very underrated - i had a soft spot for white lion - vito deserved more credit
GOAT
Rolling through Texas and my goddamn semi listen to this mother f***** awesome
Luv Jake since 83/84
Old McDonald has always been my favorite Sabbath song.
The only band that does the family thing bringing back old guitarists is the Scorpions I think when they have Uli Jon Roth and Michael Schenker come out. They also have the old drummers on to sometimes
15:23 Ray Gillen can't sing?!? Ha! Now I've heard it all. Where were Kalodner's ears?
Have to wonder what JK was thinking on that one. I wonder if anyone ever played the Badlands record for him ?!?!?!?!?!?! Lol
Jake e. Lee is one of my favorite all-time guitar players! Ozzy's loss! I got a friend who looks just like jake! Could be twins! After Jake I stopped listening to ozzy!
Why are there no recordings floating around of Jake's early Ozzy shows playing all those Sabbath songs?
I wish that there were. I would have loved to have some live albums from Ozzy from the Jake E Lee days. I like the EVH cocaine stoies at the Monsters Of Rock. 😮
