So....using 2 C70's myself and using only manual cine lenses for weddings BUT i need a small camera to put it on a small gimbal and have an ultra wide for few shoots like church, reception... R7 has a way to low DR to consider it...
The R7 is tempting because of no record limit but yes the DR puts me off. I have a R6 and the DR isn't very good either. I saw a wedding filmmaker with a R5C on a gimbal. So maybe R5C as c cam. But that would be an expensive c cam.
One day… one day… 😂
Thank you
Thanks for the video, would love to see your fav C70 lenses for what you do. Also your whole process would be interesting because you rend images are great!
I felt the same way about the RS3 but I bought it because you can use the larger batteries and the auto-locks. The auto-lock feature is so worth it.
Oh really I'm looking hard into the RS3 and hopefully picking one up soon.
@@sundialcreatives I shot my first wedding 2 weeks ago and bought it the day before. To auto-lock the gimbal and go handheld is a game changer. I will warn you tho, it doesn't have the balance test anymore.
@@HoosierView That's awesome!! I really liked the balance test feature for the RS2...
Just bought an FX3 and was torn between that and a C70, but for my use case I needed the better autofocus and the portability. Loved your video though, wonderful quality, maybe I’ll get a C70 down the line as well 😅
Good stuff man! Subscribed
Thank you brother!
I like Canon Colors but RF lenses are very expensive =( .. very informative, Cheers from brazil
Yes they are!!! I held back in the beginning from purchasing more RF lenses because of the same reason, but I I got to the point where I had to make the decision to invest properly into the future and make sure my lens selection won't depreciate so quickly. Cheers brother thank you for watching!!
Just bought it recently but trying to change aperture, iso and wb but don’t know how to
Can help please ?
I recommend finding a RUclips tutorial on using the Canon C70 unboxing/ setting it up there are plenty of videos showing how to setup your C70
I could've sworn I subscribed to you already, but it looks like you started a new channel. I loved your Fuji work and I too also use a C70, but I only use EF glass as I use the Canon speed booster to get an extra stop of light. What RF glass are you using on your setups?
Yes! I started a new channel because it the old channel was just too heavily focused on Fuji, and when I switched to Canon I barely had any videos and I wanted to go in a different direction with the channel. Currently I've been using the RF 70-200, and the RF 24-70 a lot. I also have the speed booster and I pair it with the sigma 24-70 and the EF 50 F1.2 for portraits and reception during the wedding. The EF50 F1.2 with and without the speed booster looks amazing!
Have you ever thought about pairing the C70 with a Canon R7?? Nice review. Dope shots!!!
Thank you brother! Actually I have, but it wouldn't make sense for me. I feel like for the price and what it can do the R7 is a nice camera for video, like the Fuji XT4 which I used for year and the XT3 to help catapult my business to where it's currently. Now I have 2 C70's for weddings and my R6 as my C-Cam, however I might plan to pick up another C70 for my business to replace the R6, and it's limitations for me.
@@sundialcreatives how do you match the R6 and C70. Do you shoot both in Clog3 and make do with less DR from the C70 or shoot the C70 in Clog2 and R6 in Clog3? It would be great if Canon unlocked Clog2 in the R6 but I don't think they will.
@@MichaelGreenwoodMG It's pretty easy to match it for me. When it comes to color grading that's my specialty there are scenarios where it's hard to color match footage. I use the gamut clog 2 and clog 3 base lut for a good starting point and from there I play around with the contrast and saturation to match. Since the R6 has less DR I try not to put it in those situation where it'll be obvious quality loss. Now I actually have 3 C70's and will no longer use the R6, but it's because I have a team trained on the C70 and the workflow is much easier and I'm planning to eventually shoot all of high end weddings in raw.
Hi Javi, Im wedding filmmaker too. Im currently shooting with R6 (overheated only once), but for next season Im considering C70. It will be huge differences between these cameras? Thank you :)

Maybe think of adding some low background music to your video?
Definitely will once the channel grows! At moment I just want to get my message out quickly without getting overwhelmed with editing. I’m trying to make this not feel like work so I don’t give up on it. 😅
