RUclipsrs focus on RUclips content and how to do videos. They don't really do anything with their footage. They don't seem to do any commercial work outside of RUclips.

I think we just can't afford Canon. I think my whole setup cost less than that 28-70 f2. I am also not as young as strong as these fellows! I think Canon's main focus is top professionals that can pay top dollar for the best. Sony's focus is more on people that want to get the best results but are willing to sacrifice time to get it over budget.
Love my c70, use it daily for shooting everything from interviews to social reels and content. It has been a beast of a camera and the color and depth out of it are amazing. Love seeing your take on it!
C70 is also my favourite camera for the last 18 months, and I don't see anything else replacing it, except Mark II :) Anyway, you could go with 0.71 + 24-70, have a lighter setup and get exactly the same dof and bokeh as 28-70/f2, but with a wider lens.
Great to see how does the rf 28-70 behaves in the field for video work, my only pet peeve is that i would have liked to see your autofocus settings. The c70 is definitely a beast
I really liked how you included this POV, (2:23) picture on picture with the recorded screen. I know you guys could've skept it, but it does a lot for the video.
The audio stuff is competely unecessary and just adds needless bulk to the camera (as well as cost). Just use a 32-bit float audio device like the Tentacle and you're good. You don't need a backup track in case it clips, you don't need a big audio interface or xlr jacks, etc. etc. etc. Just turn the tentacle on, and....well....you're done. No gain adjustments ever required. Turn it on, start talking, done.
I think that's where they failed on this camera the most. That and the slower autofocus compared to the R5. It would have been nice if it had the R5 resolution as well. Seems like they handicap things on purpose.
If they did that then there'd be no reason for a C300 MkIII or C500 MkII which cost $5k and $10k more. Gotta make sure you don't butcher your own products, especially the ones you've relied on for years at a higher price range.
No doubt the Canon C70 is a GREAT camera but I must say Parker, your skills can't be overshadowed in this review! You know how to create some beautiful content! Keep up the GREAT work! 💪🏾🔥
It’s nice to see you are still using a glidecam. all you see nowadays is RUclipsrs talking about motorized gimbals and I personally haven’t seen a new glidecam video in a few years.
I have a small glidecam, it gives a different look to gimbals, a floaty feel. Bit I do prefer using a gimbal as you can add a monopod and get insane shots a lot quicker. Sort of how Brandon Li does it. Can't get thes on a glidecam.

Great video on demonstrating the strengths of the C70. As a filmmaker, the C70 is one of the cameras I've been looking at when I want to upgrade to a higher end camera.
Sony A7S3 if much better in almost any way: 1) Full Frame - no adapters that make autofocus even worce and more glass for no reason 2) Better autofocus 3) Better low light 4) Smaller video files 5) better photo options and EVF 6) Lighter and smaller 7) Cheaper 8) Better lens selection (What native RF APS-C lens are you going to use?) 9) Better rolling shutter 10) IBIS If you still going to use an adapter just use your old Canon lens with adapter on Sony A7S3 If you going to shoot weddings, RUclips, family stuff Sony A7S3 is all you ever need and if you need somthing for "Cinema" then you just rent Arri Alexa Mini LF or somthing from RED.
A7s3 has no built in NDs, and you need an adaptor for audio. DGO sensor on the c70 holds up great for recovering shadows. There are pros and cons for each. You can pick up the r5c which is 8k full frame and checks a lot of the boxes as fx3 with the advantage of that downsampled 8k footage to 4k.

Some people buy a A7s3 just to buy extra equipment to build it out to a cinema rig. Why not just get a cinema camera? Oh and it really doesn't matter about full frame to be honest. The video quality is just superb! I'm more impressed by how you've hid your lav mic so well and yet get such amazing audio quality. Was it placed underneath the shirt?
I love the shot composition and direction but the only thing I can't get behind is the orange skin tones. I get the grade you're going for is this orange/green combo but the only word I can think of when seeing their orange skin and green hair is "CARROT". Just my 2 cents.
Wen you try sell somthing that is not what it is, you refer with some accepted comments, "is basically a prime lense". I good prime is faster than 2.8 usually, 1.8 or faster, but offcourse, 2.8 say nothing about Image quality sooo....... Crap forgot, Edit One -Nice video! Thx! Edit, two, Tip is to use the Ifootage Cobra Monopod w/ fot pressed at stummace/Chest. I works perfect.If you look at it and u know what I mean.
Nice to see the 28-70 f/2 getting some love for video. It lives on my Komodo unless I need something just a bit wider or anamorphic. Great video. I have considered selling my 1DX M3 for the C70 a few times. I may do that soon…

Love the specs, form factor and Canon colour science but the image is noticeably soft. Fuji XH2/XH2S currently have better S35 IQ with 6.2K / 8K res. New FX30 also supersamples from 6K for superior detail. Hopefully Canon follow up the C70 with a 6K/8K version.

This is such an underrated camera, especially amongst RUclipsrs who mostly use Sony.
The dynamic range is insane and even beats the Red Komodo.

Best purchase I made this year. I choose it over the Ursa and the Komodo and haven't looked back. Still love my pocket 4k though.

Rocking the C70 on a glide cam is incredible. The strength you need to pull that off is beyond me especially for a full day wedding shoot!

Dof and bokeh would not be the same, just the expose. Dof would still be same as 2.8 on the full frame camera.

its probably going to be a c300/500 coming next from canon. As mentioned, canon handicap for a reason.

$2,500 Schoeps mic for a wedding shoot. That must be nice, family hook up! That's a better mic than some feature films use.

Honestly pick up a FX3 if you want cinema. The low-light advantage alone is worth it for me to go with Sony

Give Ableton a try. IMO its more intuitive.

If i was going to say what the best hybrid/video (not rigged out) camera is, i would say it is the R3. The C70 just has to many compromises.
