Have you considered Canon 18-80mm t4.4 cine lens for documentary work? It was made for that and pairs perfectly with the C300 series but will also work on C70
Hi Damien ....after a lifetime in TV Broadcasting as a Lighting video cameraman/post-production editor - 50 years and still going strong ) and now semi-retired, I am fulfilling a life-long dream of finally being able to afford a digital CINEMA camera - to make short films ( the last one I made was on Super 8mm eons ago 🙂 ) Anyway, I have taken the plunge and purchased a Canon EOS C70 - after trying out many different digital film making cameras ( SONY, Panasonic, Fujifilm, Blackmagic ). As an avid watcher of your channel, I find it very informative and you answer a lot of the questions , that I have in my head, regarding what lenses and attachments etc. to buy. ThaNK YOU.👍👍
After doing my first video on the R5C with the RF16mm prime. I upgraded to the RF15-35 2.8 and I was pleasantly surprised. Good focus distance (a fear I had) but there is nearly no focus change thru the focal length. So I can be wide 15 and then zoom on to 35 for detail and not lose focus. Hope to have similar experience with the 28-70 and 70-200 once I get them.
Love your channel Damien! Question: With the Tokina 11-20 stills w/ speedbooster (for gimbal work) aren't we losing the lower end of the zoom since it isn't for a full frame sensor? Full wide, won't we see the edges?
Hi, Damien. Really enjoy your channel where I can see all the possibilities for the C70, which I expect next month. One question though, I'm about to order the RF28-70 F2 from Canon for its sharpness and low light capabilities... What would you recommend, the sigma Primes with the speed booster or the Canon RF glass, which is a native RF mount glass? I need the autofocus but not the IS that much since I will use a tripod 90% of the times, and I was looking for a one only lens, for now... Thank you!
Hey Damien. I just got a C70 with the speed booster and am looking to get into some EF glass but the canon lenses I've tried all make quite a lot of noise when tracking with auto focus. Have you had that problem? Do the sigmas have quieter AF? I've tried Canon Rf lenses and they're silent but want to go the EF+speedbooster route. Any thoughts?
Didn't you have that problem with the magenta circle in the center of the frame when using the speedbooster? Thx for the video btw i have been waiting for this video!
Helloo brother!!! I really want to enter in cinema/comercial world but i cant decide if the blackmagic 6k g2 or c70 will suit me better. Blackmagic setup will cost me around 4000 euros and c70, body alone, will be 4500 euro in my country, so preety expensive. The question will be c70 raw is it better against braw? (i mention that i am a sony guy, i have a7iv and a6400, but i really wanna go in red direction, so i thought that black magic or c70 will be a good starting point)
My 9-5 I got hired for is still shooting mirrorless 8 bit Sony a7 iii/a7c 💀 desperately trying to convince them to switch to at least an FX6 or even go full Canon but it’s a slow burn
Do you shoot on S35 lenses?

Thanks à lot for the video, love your video’s! ❤️ question: What about the recording time, is this constantly recording? 🙏🏼
Credit card debt 😂😂😂😂
the struggle is real :D
hahahahaha the "And welcome to putting yourself into severe credit card debt" so good. I mean, it's not good ...don't do it, but hilarious.
Disclaimer: I do not condone putting yourself into credit card debt!
But I'm not stopping you either :D

do you have purple flare like some people have with the Canon speedbooster?

I've heard about that but never experienced it myself. And I shoot A LOT on the speedbooster
@@damiencooper thank you!
I'd appreciate if you talked about how you setup your audio channels on C70
did you watch my settings video already? I will do a full audio setup C70 video in march though
Hey, quick question. When using the super 35 lenses what adaptor do you use for the RF mount? Thanks
Any…
I have the Meike and canon one. With and without control ring

Which brand is the 1/4 Mist Filter you use? And have you ever used the Sigma 50-100 especially the photo version for video work?
NISI.
Yes, a bit too heavy and way too much focus breathing
Does the Canon 16-35mm f2.8 version 1 autofocus work with the speed booster?
Uh, good question. I believe so but I don’t know. Version II does. I bet so does version 1
@Damien Cooper thank you Damien.
Got my sub on credit card debt lol
Funny credit card joke...
