terrific video! Want to weigh in on my problem? My 03 Cadillac escalade ESV, JL4 brake option, self applies all brakes gradually, eventually - sometimes - coding C0131 (Traction Control System Pressure Circuit) and then, sometimes, in addition, "Service Stability Control" on the DIC, coding C0161 (brake switch malfunction / but could mean pedal travel / pressure mismatch) Could it be communication problems? To get the truck to move, I turn off the engine, pump the brakes vigorously, then the brake pressure releases and I can move. Replaced malfunctioning brake MC - that triggered a broken (rusty) brake line, and then hydrobooster. Replaced all lines with SS, and while I was in there, all the calipers / hoses/ pads/ discs because...I was in there anyway. Pressure bled & ABS bled with tool. 4 months later the brake self application started. Stopped for 4 more months...now it's back. I use a Foxwell NT630Plus tool for ABS bleeding.
Excellent video but still trying to figure out how to extract the torx bolts on the left side of the truck. They’re the ones you can’t see and they’re either rounded off or have crud in them. Can’t tell which one. For how long I’ve been scraping I think the latter. Not that this video is useless information but be aware that the bolts on it may be stripped out.

I got it on eBay, it’s been along time since I’ve purchased it so it didn’t have the history of the item. You just have to remove the abs module and make sure you buy the right one from eBay, there is 3 different types, so make sure it’s the right part number and such. I hope that helps.

Would the code C0550 relate to the ebcm as well man? On my 05 Silverado 2WD. I’ve already replaced front wheel bearings and new brake pads. And Lights are still on cluster.

@@dwongreen5564 when my battery needle and speedometer didn’t work, it was because of the whole front cluster that needed to be replaced. I replaced it and it was fine.

I have '05 Tahoe LS my abs and traction light would come on when turning left and felt light Tahoe would not speed up. So I change front speed sensors and brake pads and now both lights stay on and Tahoe wouldn't go pass 20 miles per hour and brake pedal felt very weird like bouncy so I took out the 60 amp fuse for abs and of course lights are still on but Tahoe drive fine and brakes work. What would the problem be at?
What’s the check engine code? I’m suspecting it could be the ebcm. I had a faulty ebcm when I installed it the first time and the traction light stayed on as well and couldn’t be turned off. The second part I installed it cleared up the abs, parking and traction control light. This is a common issue with these cars.

Nate Chops you’ll have to remove the old unit and count the pins, also if you have issues with it, you can email the eBay seller who sells these units and they can help you further with the serial number on the side of the old module unit.

Lol, this was my second attempt at replacing this unit. The first unit I got from the seller was malfunction and didn’t work. So I knew when it was working as it should lol. Also, I’ve replaced the original odometer on this car already, the speedometer stopped working so got that replaced 🤣
You can do that, but that’s more work than I want to do since you have to open it, solder the connections, reglue everything and then recheck to see if that worked.
Are you kidding the tilt meter was at the beginning of the section 123491 MI and at the end of the section 123491 MI and you said that you drove the car while it was stationary and did not move Hahaha
This was a second unit. The first unit had issues after I drove it less than 2 miles. But don’t take my word for it. Do what you feel works. Mines still working after getting the first unit replaced 👍🏼

You need to bleed the abs first with a scan tool, then bleed the lines at each caliper.

I think it might affect your awd… it does affect the abs system so it’s not safe to drive when the road is slippery since it doesn’t have abs.

Look at where the pin connector is at, then count how many holes it has on that connector, that’s the pin unit you need

So you shouldn’t buy a new abs control module, you just need to re solder the 5 connections to the relay!!! Save a lot of $$$
