    Traction bars are a must...axle wrapping is a pain when towing keeps tires planted... great choice on bars....

    Dark Iron so would these help even on the gen4 Ram with the rear coils?

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  3 года назад +1

      Hmmm... I don’t think so but I could be wrong. I’m pretty sure the coil system has its own control arms which would hold it in place kind of like trac bars.

  • @CPSteveMiller

    Now would these make it okay to delete my overloads? I always reverse level my trucks but run airbags. I don't take the overloads out. Tons of axle wrap without the overloads but with the traction bars will the overloads even do anything? Never had the chance to run traction bars so I've never been able to test them.

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  3 года назад

      Well I’d think you should still run your overloads if you are hauling heavy. All the traction bars do is keep your axle from rotating, it doesn’t stiffen your rear suspension.

    How are these different than slapper bars on a leaf spring car? Maybe this design is better for ground clearance?

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  3 года назад

      Traction bars, slapper bars, same thing. I think in the car world they are better knows as slapper bars but in truck world traction bars. Same thing either way. They both fix the same problem.

    This gonna help with spinning out while towing? Also are front bars worth it or mainly rear

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  3 года назад

      Yup it should help. The front long arms serve a different purpose. They push the front axle forward so it sits in the proper position with the lift kit. If you get a lift kit without long arms the front axle will actually be a couple inches back from where it’s supposed to sit from factory.

    will they do anything if i have a gasser

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  3 года назад

      Yes the concept is the same. They are just more common on Diesels since diesels typically make more power and therefore have more axle twist. But if you have a juiced up gasser then ya I’d definitely recommend them.
