    The native ISOs are 400 and 3200... As I know. Otherwise great video!

    Home run instruction video! I have been looking for this and you did it at a pace that I could digest, you didn't geek out (offered other videos to watch) and you came across as very honest and easy to listen to. As a former teacher, I think you would have been a star teacher in the elementary classroom! There's still time!

    I'm having the hardest time trying to get the color right and exposure but I will try using Auto aperture button to see if that will fix my issue. Will that button also fixed the tent? Is there an Auto exposure for all when using the BMPCC4K? I'm using this camera as a floating camera to capture live streaming and trying to configure that Color brightness etc.. like the other camera is just not working at all.

      I wouldn’t recommend auto exposure for a live church situation (which I’m assuming as this is a church account). Auto exposure won’t necessarily give you the best exposure since you have your main subject lit quite a bit brighter.
      You can adjust ISO and Aperture of the lens. To properly exposure your speaker when he’s under the lights. You want him to be as bright as possible without over exposing, which can be indicated with the “zebra” function.
      As far as white balance, the auto white balance works great. It puts a little square in the middle of the screen and wants something white to be inside the square.
      The best way to get a good color would be to bring your camera very close to where your speaker will stand. Make sure your lighting is exactly how it will be when he speaks. Hold up a white piece of paper to fill up the little square on the auto white balance.
      Once the white balance is set, you can take your camera back further away where you want it for the live feed. Your white balance will remain correct for where the speaker stands, which is what you want.

    Iso 800 is an acceptable iso to record in. The noise looks like grain which can be used as a look, or be slightly denoised. More importantly, the highlights are mostly preserved

      @BoGaines  5 лет назад

      Absolutely! There are several ISO options that are acceptable. But to get the max dynamic range it needs to be 400 or 1250

    • @leebrandt33
      @leebrandt33 5 лет назад

      @@BoGaines if you look at the iso allocation chart, it remains 13.1 over the entire iso range. 400 and 1250 do help with having a cleaner image. Cheers

      Yes, I guess the better way to put it is to maximize dynamic range while getting the clearest image possible. The dynamic range stays the same while shifting along the axis of highlights and shadows. Thanks!

      @@BoGaines So the best ISO to maintain on this camera is 400?

    • @BoGaines
      @BoGaines  5 лет назад +1

      When you’re talking about noise in the image, yes. All ISO’s from 100-1000 have the same dynamic range but 400 is native, so it’ll have the lowest amount of noise and best look in my opinion. 👍🏼
