Always did value 3, its story reminded me more of those epics you’d read you Greek mythology. It was trying to do a lot, and it did with its twist too. A little disappointed they didn’t extend this style of remake to V, VI, or even a new IP. But it shows they are always pursuing new ways - as you put it - of synthesis.
Very well put, my friend! I totally agree, so cool to see Square's ambition coming in so hot this early in their time with the series. Excited to cover IV-VI soon, but for sure, I hear you, a 3D remake like this for V and VI would've been awesome. Appreciate your time and support!
For sure, I agree with you there. At the time, I was still learning which version of each FF game is optimal, and the Pixel Remasters hadn’t all been released quite yet. I’ve got them on my backlog now that they’re out, though, and I’m looking forward to playing through them!
