My dad memory is going to Fenway Park. He was a single dad raising 4 kids. He would take the 3 "younger ones" to Fenway. We got $4 tickets in the bleachers. What a great time. And just sitting at home watching the Red Sox. Him and me watching the Sox on TV with the volume down and the radio with the play by play, while we ate Cheeze-Its and drinking Coke. Best times ever! Thanks for sharing your memories with us.
Watch out Carl, I think Ney Ney is having the nesting urge lol! But anyway, yes it’s nice to change up the interior look of your RV occasionally. Definitely can change the vibe or aura being inside on those wet weather or hot days. Carl was definitely doing the right thing when Ney Ney was adding her touch to the interior look, it’s best to just stay out of the way during those times. As the old saying goes; just keeping thing’s lively at home! 🤩. Stay safe and take care.

We had one of those whole house fans, we called it an attic fan. Loved it! Sucked the fresh evening air in every window. Grew up in Michigan!

I totally get what your saying about how you have memories about that house fan. I remember my mom putting the cooler on right after my dad would change the cooler pads and I still to this day remember that cooler pad smell. It really brings back good memories. Love u guys!!!!

I know this is not RV related but since you have such a huge audience, could you possibly pass along a tip about people who are not in the medical or first responder field to not ask people what their worst call was or the worst thing they have seen?
As both of you know, all this does is make people relive that experience over and over and over again when they may have finally put it behind them.
Because you reach so many people, maybe that one little tip will let those of us that have seen bad things not be reminded of them while we're trying to relax and enjoy the camping experience. People are always curious about what we do, but there's some things that we just don't need to talk about and relive. It is a little tidbit that I share every time I am asked to speak at a public event.
Thank you for everything you do, you truly have helped my wife and I begin our journey camping. We have Even begun to set our property up in Northeast Ohio as a boondocker welcome site. Just a mile from the first exit into Ohio on route 90. We cannot wait to start meeting these awesome people who have chosen to travel. Thank you!

I grew up in the 1960s and 70s in South Carolina . In the 60s I would spend the summers at my grandparents farm. With my cousins we would work on the farm all day long and then at night we would fall into the bed exhausted but happy. This farmhouse did not have air condition. Every bedroom had a window fan and we would turn those on and draw it the slightly cooler night time air. But we slept like a rock.

We have a whole house fan and it's the best! I totally can relate but it's an adult memory for me
Love this channel! Just a reminder, since I don't believe I've seen a tow vehicle maintenance video, make sure you are changing your oil and transmission fluid way more often since you're constantly towing. Especially the transmission fluid. I would also change the differential fluid every 25k-30k. You're putting a lot of strain on that vehicle and you want it to last!

I hate RV smoke detectors. Mine will go off if I breathe on it.
I was at Mather Campground (South Rim of the Grand Canyon) about a week ago cooking a steak outside, without realizing that I was directly below an open window. And the MaxAir fan was on. Some grease dripped onto the burner and flared up, which created a bunch of smoke. The fan sucked the smoke right through the window, setting off the smoke detector. So there I was, trying to simultaneously put out a flare up on the grill, rescue the steak, silence the smoke detector, and then get all the smoke out of the trailer. It reminded me of an I Love Lucy episode

I know about whole house fans. We had one when I was a kid and it was better than air conditioning because the cool air it brought in was fresher. Just a thought about the knife rack. I a trailer it's fine. In a motorhome I think it's a big no-no as the knives can come loose if you get in a wreck and can be very, very dangerous. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

Yep, the whole house fan in Northern California mom was trying to cool off the house without running the AC. My memories are either mom or dad forgetting to check to see if the damper and the fireplace doors were shut and turning on that damn fan and ash being sucked out all over the house. Or it still being too hot, but mom not wanting to run the A/C in the evenings. It was great in the spring and the fall when we would get the cooler nights. But when it was still in the triple digits, she would try to turn it off in the evenings.

Wow! We use to go to the beach an fish in Ocean City when I was a kid. That was the early 70s. Going there on our east coast run next year. Safe travels.
When you were talking about growing up and using an attic fan brings back memories. When you cut it on high it would make the curtains fly and cool a house down. Love the orange bed sheets, they changed the look of the room. I enjoyed the video can't wait till the next one.

Oh! We had one of those whole house fans too! It was actually a barn fan and when all the windows were open, it created total air flow. Loved it! My memory is of three church next door. Great playground! Mom would say, come home for supper when the church bells ring! That was 6:00pm. I can still hear those church bells.
