Welcome to my little cottage on wheels!!!! 🤗
My names Josie btw 😊 an English girl.
And I have been building this bus for ... a while now ..
and its finally finished!! I filmed this video after living in my bus for one month... and today I have just realised (by a happy accident) its my two month anniversary of living in here 😍 (I moved in on Star Wars day ... may the 4th be with you 😁) 🤟
Build wise - everything you see - I built from scratch, including most of the soft furnishings.
I was a complete DIY beginner, and I don't pretend that this was an easy task for little old me, but its been so empowering to learn the skills and now after 3 years of hard work I'm so happy with the fruits of my labour.
I recommend it to anyone that wants to give it a go! we can all do hard things ☺️ 🙌
I did pay the pros to help me with a few things however:
Welding
Gas
electrics
log burner
diesel heater
plumbing
(it took me 3 years to have a go at all the woodwork and sewing... I thought perhaps it would take me 10 years if I undertook all of that as well lol 😅) - but I do harbour some regrets on this matter.

After watching this video back, I made myself laugh a few times just because of the outrageously posh English phrases I sometimes say in my voice overs (I wonder if you know the ones I mean? ) - said for effect FYI... not sure I know anyone that talks like that in real life lol 😝

Objectively speaking, this takes a genius in design, carpentry, video editing, and comedy. We have nothing like this in the states. It is from another world.

I am incredibly jealous!! I am a 70 year old woman and so regret that I didn't take the opportunity to do something like this when I was young. Back in my day a woman travelling solo like this would have been an oddity. Your bus conversion is exceptional and really reflects your personality. I think it speaks to a lot of woman because whether we love modern decor, industrial, cottage, we all like a little whimsy. Good luck on your travels and have a wonderful time. By now I'm sure I have watched more than a 1000 builds. This has got got be the smartest best planned use of space. I have ever seen . Plus it couldn't be any cuter or comfortable looking.. I am blown away by the design of the sofa. Her color scheme is so relaxing and makes you want to join her.

I have never seen a van built with so much caracter. I love the wood and mirrors. Even the cupboards has wallpaper inside. The tree log/branch is so original and rustic. The screen doors are so beautiful. There are no modern things in your van, except the TV, phone and electronics. You have a very creative talent, Josie.
Inside your bus is like a fairy tale castle. Very enchanting.

Not only is this the prettiest van build ever, but also you absolutely understood the meaning of tour. Every time I watch house tours or van tours I get so annoyed when I don't truly see anything because the finer details are skipped past, but you showed every nook and cranny and thank you so much for that!

I LOVE the shabby chic, English cottage core style. The vibe is so feminine, romantic, cozy, and clean. It looks so much bigger than it is bc of the mirrors, and windows, your color choices, the layout, and all the smart storage you designed.

I am dying to move to the country, near an enchanted forest, and travel all over the world. I have 3 young boys so I would need a much larger vehicle, and I'd have to homeschool them. We only get one life, and I don't want to waste it. It's difficult to make huge choices like that when you have children, bc you don't wanna make the wrong one, and ruin their lives. I'd much rather live a special life, with awsome experiences than a boring, traditional life.

Go for it.. we travelled around Australia for 2 yrs and lived in the van for over 3. This was with 4 pre teen kids. Best thing we ever did. It impacted their lives so much. All 4 adult kids have the wander lust. You won’t regret it.

Never seen or heard of a recirculating shower, so clever!
This is truly incredible. Not only a full kitchen and bathroom, but a double bed, a log-burning stove, a roof deck, inside AND outside tables, and an outside shower in addition to the inside one! I'm pretty much gob-smacked. The outdoor shower will be very useful for rinsing off all the salt if going in the sea while travelling. Josie should go into design.

Pretty amazing! The handmade sofa and the recirculating shower blew my mind. I also love the use of folding shutters to make the bedroom nook cozy and private-feeling.

I can’t even imagine all the skills you need to make that. I wouldn’t live all year long in a van like this but I would definitely spend time when I need to ressource myself. I see sometimes people saying "my van is like a home" but their van is just a simple van. But YOURS is incredible. A real home on wheels.
Women should plan , construct and build because we consider aesthetic, functionalities, and comfortable living all in one. All the cute things that 100% work in this space AND its cute and on theme !! Glass mirrored doors along a hallway?! Full counter kitchen with white rustic accordion cupboards with heart drawers ?! And pink couch ?! A fluffy bedroom?! PLUS fully functional water heat and electric systems!? No man could build and plan like this. ❤ love it well done!

It looks like a lovely cottage. That's a perfect home! I know a lot of ppl like the modern contemporary look with van builds but this is how I envision the perfect van/bus life.

This unlike so many vans felt like a true home without sacrificing any of the essential comfortable things. It's kinda like a well-made functioning tiny home on wheels. While also being the best looking van build I have seen. The choice of getting a heavier van truly be seen with how much comfort you can add into the van due to it.
This is by far THE most precious, adorable, feminine build out I have ever seen! 🤗 Looks like you thought of everything and made it all look so pretty at the same time.

I’m disabled and if I was able to I would create as well. I’m so envious of your talent. I’m 57yrs old and can only dream of such skills. Your dog is amazing too. All snuggly. I'm not gonna lie, this is the cutest van built I've ever seen! It's big, but not massive, it has everything you need and the mirrors are genius to create an open and light atmosphere! Love it!
Ok, I think most agree this is like the most adorable build ever! But can we talk about the recycled shower water! Like what!!! I have NEVER heard of anything like that in any build and it sounds amazing. To not waste the water and simply filter back as you are bathing is super cool! And the bathroom becomes one big room. The door design although confusing at first is super neat! I love everything about this build, but I must say the old maps for wallpaper in the cab is a double thumbs up!
Right? Sooo soo innovative and yes we need to know about the refiltering and also would it be bad to ask exactly what it cost you to do cause I still want to dream……hahaha
