1000%. She doesn’t give more than is asked of her. She doesn’t over explain or try to explain even when she doesn’t know. I enjoy listening to her a lot.
I think the world would be a much better place if more people were comfortable admitting they don’t know things. Even though we all realise we can’t know everything, somewhere along the way it somehow became “shameful” to not have an answer.
Let me just say everybody is happy to celebrate a truth seeker everybody’s happy to hear that you’re always searching for the truth unadulterated but if you happen to find that truth and settle upon it after doing all the things that they celebrate you’re a demon you’re a fool you’re an idiot. You’re a clown because you actually found the truth.
yeah. I would hope they all see it that way like all the people who become nuns and priests and stuff. they want to serve God and they want to love the people around them and they just want to do good things. in a perfect world they would all be that way
I'm not religious at all, but I fully believe nuns (and priests etc too I'm sure) are often some of the happiest people alive. Their lives are pretty much devoted to being the best they can be and doing the best they can, I don't think there's a better way to find true happiness than that
@@TheHulksMistress I wouldn't say they're the happiest people alive but they're definitely satisfied. by which I mean there's a difference between wanting to be happy 24/7 vs wanting to be content or fulfilled. they're all very strong positive emotions but happiness is like a specific type of experience.
I’m an atheist and I’m very critical of the Catholic Church but I really enjoyed this. I love this woman’s perspective on things and she seems lovely. If this is what religion was like more often and less divisive and hurtful, I wouldn’t be so firmly against it.
Me too, but the moment she said 'I don't know' to what happens after death I felt a lot of animosity go away. Her focus on loving others is also admirable.
I'm 45. Schooling started out in catholic school and nuns were not nice. By fifth grade I'd left spiritually. Watching the younger nuns speak, it does help the trauma and anger to dissipate a bit.
Same here. I generally don’t like Catholicism (or really, religion in general), but I really enjoyed listening to her. It also helps that she has a very calming way of speaking :)
@@drakegeralds699 your compassion is lacking and your pride abounds. Never forget that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. It's nothing we did, but was and is Christ. We are all lazy, we are all sinners, we have all fallen short next to the glory of God. God loves even those who hate Him. He's waiting on them to come "home" to Him. We are meant to represent His love in the world. Not condemnation and judgement.
@@drakegeralds699it is so much lazier to say "God works in mysterious ways", "God is great!", "We are not to know God's plan" and over stinking BS statements that are utterly meaningless. You think that God designs such an evil plan for someone, someone who was planning on being a nun and chose love family and freedom over repression? Don't be a weak simple minded sheep. Take life head on a recognise the chaos of the Universe and the proven scientific forces that are all around us and that there is no watcher/caretaker...someone out there who cares about any of us and you will be a better human being as you will care for others around you and help those in need not because of an imaginary friend but because it is Right.

I’m an atheist, but I will always remember one particular nun I met a few years ago. I was taken to hospital following a motorcycle accident, in the bed next to me was a very elderly nun who had taken a bad fall. Such a lovely, bubbly and funny lady. It was my first time meeting a nun, I was so surprised just how playful and almost cheeky she was, we helped each other pass the time. We spent 2 nights and 3 days talking and laughing together. We talked about anything and everything. Even played a few games of chess, although she didn’t have the energy to get up and move the pieces so I’d have to move the pieces for her. I remember some others nuns came to see her and one of them went to pull the curtain between our beds to give them some privacy and she scolded the younger nun and said “Don’t you dare pull that curtain, this young man has been my salvation” 🤣. She was moved to intensive care the following day and I later found out she had passed away shortly after. I was happy I could help keep the boredom at bay and thankful for the company and wisdom she shared.

it's kind of making me cry. not in a bad way... it was reassuring. every religious person that I've ever known has been exceedingly confident in their reply that they know exactly what's going to happen after they die and so I felt like I could never tell anyone that I was unsure. And as a result I've always been afraid, And for some reason which seems super counterintuitive her saying that she doesn't know makes me feel like it's not scary which makes no sense because then well we don't know and isn't that more alarming but apparently it's not because it makes me feel good
@@humanbeing3946 yeah it's based on works, like Catholics. with Christians it's either based on works or it's based on Grace. for Muslims though, the issue is that they all have a different interpretation of what good works are.
The fact that her mother gave her her wedding ring and said "I hope you are as faithful to your vows as I have been to mine" almost made me cry. What a beautiful connection and gift ❤️
Yup, she got me there too. What a special moment she shared there. I wiped a few tears for sure. Definitely felt the love in that moment she gave a glimpse into. ❤
I think her mother gave her own oath ring, to quote: " I hope you have been as faithful to your vows as I've been to mine," It might be a wedding ring though I am not certain.
@@jaredmetz2273 It wouldn't be an aoth ring given those are from/for nuns, and nuns naturally don't have children, and this was mother to child. Apologies if I missed something though x
"Sin is something that takes you away from God"...This is the most beautiful definition of sin that I've heard...no judgement and litanies of what sin is or what it takes to commit it. You are so beautiful, Sister Gabriel!!
It’s the truth 😊. As a devout Catholic myself, can confirm this is the theological teaching/definition of what sin is. And for practicing Catholics there is no sin that can completely remove you from God if you receive the sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
As a Christian, this is also what I believe about sin. It was so nice to hear her say this, I wish more people shared that this is what sin is, and yeah not so judgmental and strict about what’s considered sin.
@SophieMaria13 I agree wholeheartedly. It also leaves room for the New Testament idea that sin for one person may not be sin for another. I think that's really important too.
@@eapeoples1020that’s really true. I guess in the same way some things are healing for some but not for others. Healing could be the opposite of sin. That which brings us closer to God.
I love that this woman didn't try and say there is no abuse in the catholic church, instead apologising and wishing them healing in a way. That was beautiful. I'm not religious but I appriciate some people need something to beleive in. This woman does that without delusion. I could listen to her all day. Sister Gabriel is the GOAT.
I know of no Catholic, that has ever said “there is no abuse in the Catholic Church”. It would be like denying sin, when as Catholics, we know sin exists, and thus people choose to be sinful. Wish more people were willing to listen to Catholics, because we don’t like the abuse in the Catholic Church and have been fighting it. We also don’t like the abuse that takes place in other places. But of course that does not fit the media narrative.
@@kagehato The first line seems to be a red herring. Catholics don't quote that statement, but the Catholic church has protected and relocated abusers instead of reporting abuse or holding anyone accountable... So there's that. Abuse is not exclusive to Catholics, but it's notable because religion is the supposed paragon of morality. The betrayal of trust feels even greater, to the general public and Catholics.
@@kagehato Yeah idk where this idea that "Catholics were fine with the scandals" came from. All I can think is they just consume what media outlets say mindlessly instead of talking to actual Catholics who had to react to and deal with what happened. No Catholic I've met (I'm Catholic, I know a LOT) would tell you they were happy with the scandals or how the higher ups handled it. A lot of us had and have called for justice to be served and for priests and bishops to be stripped of their titles for being involved or covering it up No one wants to look deeper because they just use it as an excuse to hate us and the church, even tho they don't know what the church actually teaches nine times out of ten
as someone who grew up Catholic and is now no longer even Christian, I grew up with Catholics who constantly talked about how there was abuse and what a travesty it was, and every Catholic I know did. it's not to say that there aren't Catholics who deny it, but it's an extremely well known issue among Catholics and Catholics are the ones who have rooted out other Catholics for such abuse... it's *the church* and those with power in it that tend to hide abusers or BE abusers. It's fucked up.
It’s not about “needing” something to believe in. Ppl really have a huge misunderstanding about why ppl have a relationship with God. On top of that, the negative stereotypes of Christians is vastly overblown. The nicest and most charitable ppl I’ve ever met have been Christians. Obviously, any bad person can be a part of any religion, but atheists aren’t more loving. More arrogant? Often, yes. More loving? No…
@@SweatiestToes I doubt that. I am sure every one literally judges, bcz it is very natural, surely anyone sane will think it is not right to be kind to demonic creatures right? All the sane people, like nuns, will not accept sins in their life right? So they judge, very natural, judging so they do not bring sinners near them and so on.
To say that "Sin is anything that moves you away from God" is the most Christian, beautiful statement I've ever heard a Christian person say. That statement is free of judgement, hate and in my view, exudes Christ's message and love.
I had one nun as a teacher in a former nunnery run school. Everyone was scared of her "because she is a nun". She had a great sense of humor, sang in the halls on her way to class, cursed at computers and danced on stage during a goodbye ceremony for the graduates. She now is in charge of the Ursuline sisters in Flanders, but man she lived and breathed teaching. I love her still
I'm not a Christian but I have met several nuns in my life. They are have been super kind and fun. I think the nuns who teach might be a bit different. Or so I've heard.
I grew up in a convent with nuns who took in single mothers of domestic violence. I lived there with my mother and siblings for two years and those were the best years of my childhood. The sisters were so loving and supportive. I would walk with one of the nuns every morning as she prayed and she passed away a decade ago and I still think about her all the time. Nuns will always have a special place in my heart.
You are lucky. There was a long period in Ireland where single mothers and their children were taken in by Nuns only for the mothers to be put to work in workhouses and the children sold for adoption. That's assuming the children didn't die first and get dumped in a mass grave.
I am an atheist who was extremely religious up until my early twenties. If Sister Gabriel reads any of these comments I hope she knows that the impact she has through her compassion, kindness, and vows are appreciated, even to those of us who are not believers. Her faith and devotion are admirable.
@@allesaufanfang-sarah I'm assuming you mean what made me leave religion? Assessing my beliefs, scripture, the church and its structure (and any church for that matter). The short of it is - I was born into religious belief. It made sense and surrounded me and shaped my view of the world. When the veil was lifted and I realized I didn't actually believe anything in the Bible, it was time for me to go. At the time I decided to leave religion entirely, it was an extreme choice due to being raised in what I believe to be a cult. That was around 10 years ago and since then I have grown to understand many things in my life to be trauma caused by religion, church, my faith and the belief structures it left me with, etc. Although I am not a believer, I can recognize and respect the beliefs of others (like Sister Gabriel). Although I wholeheartedly disagree with her belief system broadly, I value that it has led her down a path of virtue and compassion.
Everybody loves the truth seeker right up until the moment that you actually find the truth and stick with it. Go searching for the truth. You’ll find it. I don’t know if you’ll be happy to settle upon it though. May God bless you.
fanatisism, and blind fanatisism at that is not being extremely religious, is confusing an ideology, a fantasy with the real, and ultimately not understanding what's at the heart of religion. Saying something like not believing anything in the Bible lacks any sense, that has nothing to do with faith since faith has very little to do with engaging in propositions of fact.
This lady exudes love, deep thought, and intelligence. It's obvious that she's captured lots of people's hearts with her humility. I wish someone would have asked her what drew her to be a nun ❤

It's wonderful that you are still open to learning at 80 years old, and from people decades younger. I learned a lot from this video too. How strange that someone left a nasty reply to your comment; that's the internet for you isn't it!
She is a Lovely Woman but i just wants to know if they are reading the same Bible that Christians read. Coz its written in the Bible that Jesus is coming back
i believe it is a different bible, the one i read is the King James version but Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity or just one of that many branches, so their bibles are a bit different
I almost became a Poor Clare nun. But then life happened, I got mixed up with the wrong man, got arrested and put on trial for a very serious crime, and I was sent to prison. And through all of the judgement, the world putting me on trial and branding me as a villain, and the sheer trauma of court and prison, the Poor Clare nuns I once almost joined did nothing but LOVE ME and PRAY FOR ME through it all. When I started my sentence in jail, they were the first ones to write me a letter. I didn’t think I’d be released, but two years ago God granted me an early release and I went home on the Feast of St. Francis. My Poor Clare monastery was the first place I went to after getting out. You couldn’t have picked a better, more beautiful, more luminous order of nuns to showcase in these videos. Sister Gabriel, may God Reward You for shining your light! Wow, that is quite a story. Nuns are so wise and accepting. Its nice to meet people who do their utmost to quash whatever judgements they may have, and just love. I hope that you have found peace in your life.
It sounds like you were attacked by the evil one?? It seems the prayers of holy nuns can move mountains. God can turn your suffering into something beautiful; He will use It for His Glory. Your testimony of the Poor Clares being one. Prayers for you.
Your testimony brought tears to my eyes, thank you for sharing. Seems to me you found your way back to God. I hope you find peace, comfort and happiness in your future path. God bless ✨
Oh man, this is where it all started. My dearest Sr. Gabriel, feels like a lifetime ago. I love her to bits!!!❤❤❤ She's the sweetest ever and I honestly feel privileged and honoured to know her now. I sent her some of the comments. She was really amazed that so many people watched this and even more surprised by all the loving comments!
She seems like a very genuine and kind person. I wholeheartedly disagree with the Catholic church's existence, but she clearly lives her beliefs and has taken on board the best parts of what it *should* be to be a Catholic.
I LOVE that she constantly reinforces that she “doesn’t know”. She’s given her life to god, but for her it’s clear that also means serving others. It’s care, it’s kindness, it’s love- not absolute certainty about what’s going to happen.
When LadBible started I don’t think many people would have foreseen it going in this direction - delivering brilliant, deep, thought provoking content. Massive props

Respect went up when she said “I don’t know” 📈 We mainly hope and I’m happy someone who has been a nun for 30 years can just be honest. Breath of fresh air.
“I think that sin is something that takes you away from God.” Wow. Really puts it into perspective. God doesn’t want us to sin; not because it makes him angry, but because it weakens our relationship with him. He loves us, and wants communion with us, but sin makes that path longer and more difficult to achieve.
I absolutely loved that answer too, because by putting it that way it shows that it's not about specific actions being inherently sinful, but it's about the role those actions play in your life, namely, taking you away from living your life fully, creatively, doing good and in contact with some higher scope.
It's interesting that she didn't mention that God can forgive our sins because He sent Jesus to die on the cross to take the punishment for our sins. Jesus has 'paid' for our salvation. Now we can come to Jesus and receive the 'free' gift of eternal salvation. ... The Gospel according to John
I'm Buddhist and I agree with so many things she said, especially about respecting everyone. It's not your religeon, it's your behavior and the choices you make. You can choose bigotry or understanding.
The reason I am not Buddhist is because there is no vindication for anything claimed. Buddha miracles come long after his death. I’ve never seen anybody say well “Here’s how we can know that Buddhism is true.” I’m sorry, but there is no salvation outside the church. Jesus came to vindicate the truth to provide backing for all the things that are steeped in love faith light. I appreciate you searching for the truth. Let me say however, that everybody loves a truth seeker, but nobody seems to love someone who is settled upon the truth even after deep investigation following all the celebrated precepts of searching properly. May All-Mighty God Bless you
@@TCM1231 I dont think that God/ Buddha/Allah (insert name) really worries about the path, perhaps Buddhism is not right for you, and thats ok. Hearing her voice warble while discussing the abuse 'allegations', all while not one time arguing that they WERE allegations, and outright calling it abuse... incredible. Very grateful for your perspective, thank you
Yes there definitely were abuses. A friend of mine who was a priest, who has now passed, confirmed it to me. I received an insider perspective on how they dealt with it. Those people would be weeded out of the church asap! The problem is that there will always be people who will slip between the cracks. Either way, I still hold anyone who is a member of the church (priest or nun) somewhat responsible for it. Why would anyone want to associate themselves with an establishment with the kind of record of abuse? There were equally many who knew and turned a blind eye. My own mother was a victim of such abuse and all the nuns she worked for knew about it. They all remained silent. If hell exists they're definitely burning in it. The Catholic Church is the remnants of the Roman Empire, hence the results. They play around with pagan rituals and what they would refer to as witchcraft. Next time you're in a Catholic Church, one that is actually ordained by the Vatican, ask the priest to remove the white cloth covering the alter. When you see the stone embedded within the alter ask them about it. There will be a little area carved out of the stone and filled in with plaster. Now ask them what's inside that plaster. Good luck! 😉 If the church wants to survive it's time they do what Jesus said, follow the man carrying the water-pitcher into the new house. In other words, it's time for the church to reform itself into the 21st century. The age of Pieces is over. Turn the page.
Sister Gabriel beams with inner beauty. Her inner light is what society so desperately needs. Thank you Sister Gabriel for your honest poignant answers to those random questions.
@@knisayusuf no in Islam, Allah is everywhere by His knowledge. Meaning that He can hear and see everything. Physically Allah is above His throne, above the seven heavens. High above. Hope that makes sense
No, I don’t think so. When she said that she doesn’t know what happens after death. Do you think Jesus in heaven was clapping? I would say that she blasphemed actually by denying the existence of heaven, she denies our Lords ascension into that place. Blasphemy. You can know the truth with certainty God has given us rationality to come to that truth . He has not left his church without vindication look to the many miracles . Jesus, death, resurrection, and ascension heavenly. Look to the many miracles done by the church I recommend Fatima Guadalupe Lourdes. The gospels are eyewitness accounts. I’ve asked people to do this for me, but compare a few months of miracles at Fatima to this man called Sathya Sai Baba if you go online, Reddit loves this guy. You have no idea how many times I’ve heard the words you should convert to Hinduism being directed at Christians because apparently we have double standards. I made my determination very obvious to me. Fatima is far more worthy of belief. I find this very funny that when you ask chat, GPT, he agrees with me.. I know it’s a little unfair comparing a lifetime of miracles to just a few months you would think that with such a large span, he would be able to produce even one miracle worthy of consideration I mean the atheist online seem to think that our miracle claims are in the same camp as his they’ve got some blinders on. I told you I asked the AI his answer almost a carbon copy for mine. It’s not bias that leads me to the church. It’s not biased that leads me to Jesus. It’s the truth. It’s the Holy Spirit. It’s God himself. Who wants to be Catholic nowadays seriously who wants to be a priest who wants to be a nun only those who are most dedicated. And those who know the truth .
What an incredible woman. I felt like a flower reaching for the sun the whole time I was listening to her. I felt such light and warmth and peace and love and kindness radiating from her and could listen to her for hours. Thank you for this video. She is a truly blessed woman indeed and we were lucky for this short time of her wisdom and insight.
I have no idea why this showed up on my feed, but I am so grateful it did. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this beautiful woman’s answers. What a gracious, thoughtful woman. Thank you!
I appreciate so much how intentional she is with her words and how she takes time to really consider what she would like to say. It's an enviable trait to possess. While I am not religious myself, I went to a Franciscan college and was surrounded by Franciscan nuns. I can appreciate their core values!
Absolutely agree! So refreshing to hear someone say they dont know and be comfortable in themselves not to know. Its why I am not convinced by the evangelical preaching kind.
She is a lovely person and follows the 2 most important commandments #1 Love God #2 love each other. The answer to how will it look when Christ returns is found in Daniel and revelation. Apostasy will be at its height. False/ phony "teachers / ministers" are many, Heresies flood the church do you must arm yourself with knowing the word because the Truth gets stomped down. He will return in a quick flash and claim His kingdom of followers for the renewal of the earth. The answer to Does God forgive all sins is a bit more than Yes... He forgives if you repent. There is one sin He does not called " the unpardonable sin" - blasphemy of the holy spirit. Wolves are in every church . The Roman Catholic Church was not a friend of the Christians or Jews.
It’s so comforting to hear her say “I don’t know”. One of my biggest guilts is how much I question and how hard it is for me to blindly believe. I have always said I would like to believe in a God who loves me even if I dont always know. ❤
Hello Hannah, what makes you think that you are suppose to "blindly believe"? God had given you a mind to think with and to ask questions. Im sure God would be pleased that you are using your intelligence. Perhaps the reason that you struggle with this is a misunderstanding. Be a good and kind person, follow your intuition and do not fear. I hope that it works out for you x
One of the things I'm most grateful for when it comes to religion is that I had a wonderful teacher, himself a catholic priest, who was adamant that questioning wasn't a bad thing at all - in fact he wanted us to question everything, especially things he said. He not only taught me critical thinking skills, he also removed so much stress around the idea of faith for me, because I never really developed the idea faith had to be blind. Instead I learned that sometimes if you question something, you actually come to the conclusion that this is the right thing for you (or to do), but now you stand behind it with more conviction. Forbidding questions just makes you scared. And a god who only loves you if you're perfect and never have any questions at all, is not a god worth believing in and it is certainly not the god I believe in.
No where in Scripture does it say, don't ask, don't be curious. It is more about this being your world to discover, study, enjoy, and share. Only the smartest people say *I don't know* because they have a clue as to how much more there is to know. How little we know, how much there is to learn. Of what God has said in Scripture, we know God loves us. How that is played out in our lives is our adventure to find out. We are loved with all our dreams, and all our failures. He is with us, we are not alone.
Jesus provides vindication for everything that he claims by his life, death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven His church continues to verify and vindicate his claims by the miracles that they do through his power I highly recommend you look into Fatima Portugal, or Lords France, the shroud of Turin, our Lady of Guadalupe and the miraculous Tilma just look into the miracles that Christ church still does today and as well, I want you to study seriously the eyewitness nature of the gospels as well, the very early attestation that we have towards The truth of the Christian faith can be found not just in the Bible alone, but also in many adjacent documents, such as the didache I think the only reason that this woman would have to say that she doesn’t know is because she is poorly catechized, but the truth is out there. All you have to do is look for it. God gave us rational minds so that we could come to know him by rationality he gave us faith so that we could keep, our eyes on him all the time when we’re faced with insurmountable circumstances that our rationality cannot conquer. I asked an atheist to do this for me earlier I’m going to ask for you to do the same thing you have the same problem just a different degrees. I want you to compare the miracles at Fatima Portugal 1913 to all the miracles of Sathya Sai Baba a little unfair I know comparing a whole lifetime of miracles to just a few months worth, but I really do mean I dare you to find even one competing non-Christian miracle claim that is even worth looking at. I asked the AI to compare Sathya Sai Baba to Fatima I would give you the whole reply, but just know he found Fatima to be much more likely ask yourself. If you’ve never heard of this guy before I highly recommend you read his Wikipedia article or just type in his name in Google and then Reddit afterwards Reddit loves this guy, especially r/atheism and all the skeptics on the Christianity and Catholic boards too. Not the cream of the crop, I know, but One conceive very clearly the argument that they’re going for. I just also see very clearly how it leaks water as a sinking ship.
My 9th grade religion teacher in Catholic School encouraged us to question. She told us to be afraid of and avoid anything that doesn’t like questions. The Church welcomes honest questions and gives honest answers and that is a good thing. Questioning is how we learn and grow. I remember she even said we can be upset with God when things aren’t making sense! As she put it, “He is a big boy. He can handle it.” If we are upset. Honest questions are a sign you are seeking the truth! That is a good thing! You are not supposed to blindly follow because a blind following of God would be so shallow and weak. You wouldn’t get to know God very well that way.
I have so much respect for someone with the ability to say, "I don't know". I don't share her world view but I have so much respect and love for absolutely every person who is able to love others that see the world in a different light than they do. We need more people like her. ❤

When I was a child I was told that because I am a Catholic I am a kind of black person and the rules of racial segregation applied to me. All the bad words they called black people I was called too.
Sister Gabriel has such a soothing personality and voice, she is very obviously devoted and kind and it makes me feel comfortable in a way, very lovely woman, you can tell!
Her soul radiates love, peace and contemplative intelligence . Feeling gratitude for the generous manner in which she opened her heart with each answer.
‘Sin is what takes you away from God’ - that just sat in the air for so long, no explanation. It wasn’t judgemental, or damning, but we all know in our hearts when and what we’ve done wrong and how it took us in the opposite direction on god. It points the way back. Beautiful.
This was incredible. I found her honesty and willingness to say “I don’t know” so incredibly refreshing. It almost makes me think I could actually believe again in a different way. Her love, joy, peace, (and I’m sure the other fruit as well) shined through her and made me feel more at peace. And her sense of humor was awesome! She is obviously very intelligent and well educated. My faith has dissipated over the last decade, but there is so much I could learn from this woman and should seek to emulate.
What a sweet comment. Wishing you the best and, since I am a follower of God, my hope is that He reaches you in a new way that really fulfills you in a way it didnt before. All my love 💓
hearing a nun say that she doesn't always know, a lot of things, in regards to the realities of the belief itself, is so comforting. faith is really about believing in something that can't be proven, in the unknown, & finding comfort & solace there.
Sister Gabriel exudes kindness and empathy. I'm sure a lot of people watching who have experienced religious trauma or harm are feeling a small part of their heart heal from her words and her presence.
When are you people gonna stop talking about religions trauma? I suffered more trauma from my atheist hedonist parents/ progressive teachers all throughout school than I ever have from any religious person. When I was raped by a male cousin at 6 was it religious trauma then too? Religious people are statistically better off in every metric than non religious counterparts. Happiness, health, wealth. Etc
Really loved the way she answered the questions, so careful about what she says, and even taking breaks to articulate what she is going to say. This has definitely gave me positive information about Nuns, their personalities and the sister hood.
I am very religious, catholic, AND FRANCISCAN 😍 (as the sister) and I love watching this kind of videos. The spirit of this Sister is the way we Christian Catholics must reflect.
What a wonderful, humble lady. I grew up in a catholic school run by nuns and they have wonderful personalities, mindsets and are generally such lovely people. I wish sister Gabriel a healthy and bright future and I wish that for the lovely nuns from my childhood too
What a wonderful woman Sister Gabriel is. I could listen to her talk all day, she’s fascinating, she’s educated, and she’s just so grounded. No judgement, no negativity, nothing but love and respect. Really enjoyed this episode 🙂
The Fransiscan nuns have been a big part of our community here in the Faroe Islands. Some of them worked in my kindergarten and school. We are all very sad that their ministry now has ended and that they don't get to live the rest of their lives here, but as one sister said, "We go where God calls us. He still has a plan for us". I respect that ❤
I love her sincerity and how in touch with herself she is. Her ability to see herself and her experiences for what they are with an open mind and compassionate heart and be totally honest about her imperfections and accept them. Her humility reminds me that the human experience is different for us all and that despite what she believes in and the way she chooses to live her life, her experience is of no less value than my own.
My heart broke when she mentioned about people who treated her badly She is such a kind hearted person and has such a great sense of humour. You didn't deserve that at all❤ I have learnt a lot from the way she doesn't judge and her humility❤❤❤❤ Can you please share her name❤ Much love from Zimbabwe❤❤❤
As a Catholic she’s a great example to me of our faith and intentions ❤ great video thank you Sister Gabriel for showing contemplative wisdom through your devotion to God
Everybody loves the truth seeker, but the minute that you actually find the truth, you’re an evil villain. Jesus vindicates all the claims he makes . I’ve never seen any vindication for Buddhist clams
My favorite part about this video, other than just how sweet, well-spoken, and loving Sister Gabriel is, is that she continuously says that she doesn't know the answer to some of these questions. That's incredibly vulnerable, especially for someone who I'm sure has to defend her faith frequently. I admire this about Sister Gabriel a lot for her honesty.
I love this. I could listen to her perspective for hours. Please have her back please. I’ve had a hard struggle with religion and her refreshing outlook on life, her humility, her honestly of being able to say “I don’t know” is so crucial. I loved this.
I went to a convent and loved every moment of being taught by the Holy Cross sisters. Sometimes they were scary if they got angry but on the whole we respected them and grew to love them as the school year wore on. And they did have a sense of humour and they laughed with us and joined in the fun we had. This was in Johannesburg, South Africa in the 1960s.
@@lynncw9202 What a small world, I went to convent school in the Cape. I matriculated in ‘99. I still have contact with some of my teacher and the nuns. When I went back in 2016 for my granny’s funeral all the nuns that taught me were sitting in the church (which wasn’t their parish) to give support. So special.
Absolutely amazing human being! I love her honesty, wholesomeness and candour. I have studied Theology myself, and would find myself in difficulty answering some of those questions, because they aren't simple at all. She somehow managed to answer them, with simple words, for everyone to understand, and did so wonderfully! Bless you, Sister Gabriel, wishing you a Merry Christmas and lots of health! 🙏🎄

I love how comfortable she is in saying, "I don't know."
The Church doesn’t teach what happens after we go to Heaven, so yeah we don’t know. We’re just in Unity with God who is Truth and Love.

Why wouldn’t she view it that? Crazy ppl don’t understand god

A lot of us had and have called for justice to be served and for priests and bishops to be stripped of their titles for being involved or covering it up
No one wants to look deeper because they just use it as an excuse to hate us and the church, even tho they don't know what the church actually teaches nine times out of ten
as someone who grew up Catholic and is now no longer even Christian, I grew up with Catholics who constantly talked about how there was abuse and what a travesty it was, and every Catholic I know did. it's not to say that there aren't Catholics who deny it, but it's an extremely well known issue among Catholics and Catholics are the ones who have rooted out other Catholics for such abuse... it's *the church* and those with power in it that tend to hide abusers or BE abusers. It's fucked up.
It’s not about “needing” something to believe in. Ppl really have a huge misunderstanding about why ppl have a relationship with God.

When the veil was lifted and I realized I didn't actually believe anything in the Bible, it was time for me to go.
At the time I decided to leave religion entirely, it was an extreme choice due to being raised in what I believe to be a cult.
Heyy there! Out of curiosity, what school are you a part of? I've been quite interested in Buddhism recently and trying to learn more about it 🙂
The reason I am not Buddhist is because there is no vindication for anything claimed. Buddha miracles come long after his death. I’ve never seen anybody say well “Here’s how we can know that Buddhism is true.”
I’m sorry, but there is no salvation outside the church.

I won't tell you Jesus is the way, nor Buddha, nor Krishna nor Mohammad, etc. All I would say is find your own way, what calls to you, whichever that would be. Good luck!

@@knisayusuf no in Islam, Allah is everywhere by His knowledge. Meaning that He can hear and see everything. Physically Allah is above His throne, above the seven heavens. High above. Hope that makes sense
What a lovely woman.
*This woman is what Christ and God always expected from us, to act like this lady, humble, kind and who understands other people's points of view*

I have no idea why this showed up on my feed, but I am so grateful it did. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this beautiful woman’s answers. What a gracious, thoughtful woman. Thank you!
I could listen to her speak forever. She has such a soft comforting voice and cadence.
I appreciate so much how intentional she is with her words and how she takes time to really consider what she would like to say. It's an enviable trait to possess. While I am not religious myself, I went to a Franciscan college and was surrounded by Franciscan nuns. I can appreciate their core values!
Im not religious, but really enjoyed this interview. Her honesty that she doesnt know, was refreshing. Lovely person x
I don't believe I have ever seen someone so joyful yet so peaceful all at the same time. I believe I could spend hours talking to her.
This woman's soul and passion is palpable through the screen. What a genuine person. I already feel over protective of her.
Jesus provides vindication for everything that he claims by his life, death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven
His church continues to verify and vindicate his claims by the miracles that they do through his power
I highly recommend you look into Fatima Portugal, or Lords France, the shroud of Turin, our Lady of Guadalupe and the miraculous Tilma just look into the miracles that Christ church still does today and as well, I want you to study seriously the eyewitness nature of the gospels as well, the very early attestation that we have towards The truth of the Christian faith can be found not just in the Bible alone, but also in many adjacent documents, such as the didache
I think the only reason that this woman would have to say that she doesn’t know is because she is poorly catechized, but the truth is out there.
She’s so contemplative, open, and honest. Very refreshing!
