Absolutely love the rug storage basket hack and towel rack. Thanks so much for sharing! I used 2 different Ikea rugs (sortso and klejs) to make the baskets. A little bit higher in price ($5.99 & $2.99) but also look nice if not in a cabinet. I also added magnet closures to a few. My towel rack is hung using removable wall hooks from Dollar Tree.

Hi!! I’m watching your RV hack video and I wanted to share that instead of keeping bath towels in a cupboard, I bought a wine rack that hangs on the wall. I can roll eight towels and not use any treasured space!!
The RV Toilet Tricks made me and my husband laugh. My husband is a self employed electrical contractor and I used to work in the office with him and 2 or 3 other men. That lesson you showed had obviously never been taught in their homes. I once put a $5 bill around the springy TP holder part and waited for someone to find it. It took about a month.
Better yet, add to your travel contacts or take a picture of it on your phone so you can exit immediately and not have to stop while in a panic to call the number. Seconds count. Also, keep a fire extinguisher really available to quickly grab to help extinguish small fires - don't forget to learn how to use it properly in advance.
We always put cute socks on our cups/bottles to help prevent noise during travel (instead of towels?) and to help absorb condensation while using - which also prevents water rings on tables from non-insulated cold drink cups. Sock sizes vary to fit container size and a variety of color/pattern choices makes them fun and easy to know who it belongs to. 🧦
Just a quick tip for you..Dollar Tree has these rubber finger protectors that you can use when you hot glue. I am famous for burning myself. When I do, I just put some Revive Lavender essential oil on it, and it usually doesn't even blister. Keep the rubber finger protectors with the glue gun, and you are set. Love your videos.
When I use the hot glue gun I always keep a glass of ice water next to me so if I get any hot glue on me I can plunge my finger into it to stop the burning. also if you are camping or something, you can melt the hot glue stick over a fire if you don't have the glue gun or any electricity. Keep some in your emergency supplies, they never go bad.
Haha, the toilet paper issue. I was at Hobby Lobby today and you know all those cute metal signs (lightweight and perfect size for the Rv) I. Tempted to get the one that says, “Everyone wants to change the world, but nobody wants to change the toilet paper.” 😜
I don't even have a RV, I just love using your great hacks in my house for space-saving/organization ideas! Thank you so much! (I'm 67 now, wish I had this channel when the kids were still here mess-making. LOL. )
I just thought of an idea…. Buy two rugs and hot glue them together for twice the size soft basket or beach bag 😊. Love all your hacks! Very well thought out.
This is actually the 1st RV hack video I've watched & happy i did. I'm a new full time RVer (Mar 2023) & had never been in an RV till I bought my 93 Monterey Cobra though I traveled a great deal growing up in 70's-80's cars/vans. Its just me my kids are grown & I'm newly divorced & am looking forward to new adventures. I have several hobbies that I'm struggling to find packing hacks for. I'm a 4th gen Leatherman w/ tools, dyes, more tools, patterns some very old some newer. I make crystal, gold & silver jewelry, I sew & have sewing machine one newer & a non electric machine from late 1800 in case there's no electricity. I want to take out a bench seat & make shelves & the Murphy table that will hold things in place while in travel mode & raise up when its needed. Did i forget power tools? Yes those too ( just basic set) they have their own bag. If u or ur fans have any ideas i would be very grateful. Thank you Kelly
I was a full-time RVer briefly but sadly had to give up the lifestyle. I found that small adjustable curtain rods are great for keeping corning ware and other glassware in place during travel days. Just use the curtain rods to section off areas of glassware and the pans stay secure in the cupboards. Thanks for the great tips! I really miss RVing!
Please explain.... I'm new at having an rv n my mom just passed I don't know how to do anything yet... just figured out how to flush the toilet lol 🤦♀️
So right as these are sadly over looked until electronics fry or burst water in RV. Another is learn not to just walk up and flip breaker on instead of standing to side. Also use anti corrode grease on plug cause faulty connect can smoke plug.
These are amazing! 2 things you may want to try. When storing your seasonal clothes, hats, etc, you can put a dryer sheet in each one so they don't get smelly. Also, in that same thread, you can put one of those little desiccant packs to soak up moisture (like in your cabinets with your towels, shoes or your clothes) to keep things from getting moldy. I usually just save mine whenever I get them in shipping boxes... but you can order them for less than $10 for 100 of them!
The product that is inside of those little bags is called silica. The silica packets are found in so many things. As well as available for purchase as 'sneaker gym bag balls'. Inside bottles of OTC herbal medicines and supplements. Beef jerky. Purses. Some high end articles of clothing. Wallets (long time ago in shoe boxes) now they use a silica sticker . I use those small ones (that say 'do not eat') inside of my dried goods containers * do not open or eat them* , also forget using rice when you get electronics wet, some gym bag balls' wrapped w tape inside of Ziploc bag+36hrs. Takes a smart watch that was an aquarium turned quickly into a dessert. And no rice residue in your equipment. Woohoo. Silica is amazing.
@FreeRangeLunatic I started saving those silica packets from the supplements I get to use for future use. Now I have some ideas to use them for. Thanks! 😁
Once I had a son I knew the battle of the TP holder would never be won so to save my sanity I switched out all of my old holders to C-shaped holders. Zero effort to slide on the new roll and it won't even let you balance a roll on top anyway.
i'm not an RV'er , but i have found those specific type of shelf liners are PERFECT for opening jars/lids...i would generally use two 6" squares of it so that i can handle both top & bottom of jar...pop...hard to open jars open very easily
My elderly mother did that. It can also be cut to size to use under a plate/bowl on a tray for meals in bed. In my RV, which is tiny by comparison, I use it on the counter, in drawers and on open shelves, as well as for protecting breakables, between plates, and to stop pots and pans/lids from rattling. Great stuff with many uses!
Hi, I also find it hard to open jars and used the liner too. I have a TIP for you! RUclips / TikTok search opening jars using a spoon. I think I saw this on TikTok and tried it many times and each time I did - it worked!! No more liner needed. Take care.
When you are at the Dr. and have to have your blood work done they put a band around your arm. They just throw them away . Ask them for it. You can use them to open your jars and anything you have trouble gripping. You can also use them to tie tomatoes stems. They can also be used for slingshot.
Rather than looping your bathroom towel and having it short, and to be able to use more of the towel, you can pull both ends of it through a hair elastic. The hair elastic of course secures the towel like a pony tail.
I like your ideas! I have a few comments about them, just to put in my two cents worth: • I like the towel rack idea. I will definitely be considering it. However, my towels appear to be considerably larger than the towels you showed in your cabinet. Maybe. I won't know until I try, and because the components are from the dollar store, it can't hurt to give it a shot. • My wife stores her earrings differently. I have always admired her setup. She has a strip of cloth fixed to the back of a cabinet door. She pierces the cloth with the earring post and secures with the normal back. None of them have ever fallen down or got lost since she started doing that. It's a little simpler than your hack and it doesn't have to be stowed. In addition, being in a cabinet that my granddaughter can't reach means she isn't tempted to play with them (she's two and a half so that's a real problem). • Your hack regarding the cords for your air fryer etc. is great, but my wife and I have been doing something even easier and cheaper for many years. All the electrical devices on our kitchen counter top have short cords, but they're long enough to get in the way. We have been stuffing the cords into empty toilet paper rolls since I can remember. They are cardboard, so they don't last for a really long time, but when they wear out, they are essentially free to replace. I• can see that non-slip shelf would also be great for preventing damage to the counter top even in normal use. Most counter top appliances (coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc.) have rubber feet, but I have noticed that if an appliance stays in one place for a long time, the rubber feet create a dull spot from the rubbing. In some cases, I have been unable to eliminate that dull spot. It's not very noticeable, but once you see it, you can't unsee it, if you know what I mean.
For cords I have a piece of tubing (I think it's similar to pex for water lines) and I cut it into 1" sections and then slice it open down one side so I can loop the cord and it holds the loops in place. When I need the cord length out, I just release one loop at a time for whatever length is needed. That's for phone and other small cords though. For appliance and other thick cords, a piece of pvc pipe would not need to be replaced as often as the toilet paper roll which also BTW, contains bathroom bacteria that we probably don't need to be transferring into our kitchen areas unnecessarily.
Love the way you fold the bathroom towel. For bathroom trash I bought a plastic cereal bin. It closes, seals and the bigger open flap makes it really easy to just open that way then re-close. It also uses a 4 gallon trash bag perfectly.
I really appreciate that you shared a RANGE from like supersuper cheap to still reasonable and for hacks that can be used in small spaces in general. Thank you!
My all time favorite hack for the bathroom is I don't have guest towels (which leads to guests guessing which large hanging towel they should use and wondering how many other people touched that towel since it was last washed) instead of a community towel, i have a basket of neatly folded wash rags next to the sink and a hamper. The wash rags are great both wet or dry and ALWAYS fresh. Bonus, the more washrags that are used, the more often I can fill a wash machine load of towels, wash rags, and cotton napkins. If you have limited space in the rv, color code washrags for each family member and a set designated for guests. Everyone has different preferences about weather they use one personal washrag all day as a towel, or if they want a fresh washrag every time they ise the rest room. Hold a family meeting to talk about their hand washing/drying preferences to determine how many wash rags are needed by each family member. in the rv. Have a net laundry bag handy to catch the used wash rags and wash they separately in hot water with laundry booster. Guests will need a fresh washrag every time anyone uses the restroom.
Thanks for all the advice, I do have one suggestion for the towel racks in the cabinet. I've been in the electrical trade since the 80's, and was taught to use lineman's pliers to twist the end of the tie wraps off, this will eliminate the sharp edges of them when they are cut off.
I am retired and live in a small cottage in Belize. I can use many of these hacks but I especially love the diy soft side storage. I have lived in an rv with my animals at one time.
The Dollar tree cooling rack as a dish drying rack... When i first saw the cooling rack at dollar tree, i immediately thought "that would make a perfect dish drying rack for my RV"
A good restroom trashcan is also a bread container with dipper bags as trash bags. We added a really slim cabinet alongside our over the toilet shelves and needed a small and tall trash can that fit inside of the thin cabinet. Bread holder for the win !
A suggestion for the surge protector. Generally you have a post that you plug into. We always have a heavy chain that goes through the protector around the post and then you lock it with a very good lock. As she said they are expensive. Ours was $279 that we did not want to come back to camp and see gone. When we bought our camper this was highly recommended and this is what we tell new campers that we meet.
We have been full-time RVing for only 5 months, so I love all of these tips, tricks, hacks, and mods! But the tp had me laughing because I tell my husband this ALL the time, but the 10 year-old gets it! 😆 Thank you! 😊 ❤️
I loved the zipped bags for games & puzzles. I'm in UK so shall need to find where to buy these bags. Thanks for sharing. I'm not in an RV but at 80 must de-clutter & down-size.
My favorite of your hacks was the under table charger holder. I used something very similar when we fulltimed for 3 1/2 years. I got the thinner wire baskets from $Tree & heavy duty stapled two to the inside of a cabinet to hold my larger bottles of spices that wouldn't fit in my plastic spice collars. It worked so well I did it in the bathroom for tooth brushes, combs & my makeup.
I really appreciate every single one of these hacks as they make me think further into other possibilities. I grew up in small spaces, once being two adults and four kids in a 16 ft travel trailer. I find myself traveling a lot and am transitioning into a small pickup truck with a topper for those overnight travel days. I appreciate each one of these hacks. Thankyou. Please keep them coming
Great tips!!! I noted the inside of your medicine cabinet is bare & thought, 💡attach the earring holder to the inside of your cupboard w/ removable command strips. Then you wouldn't need to put it away or use up counter space & would still be able to see them at a glance.😀
This woman is fantastic! She thinks like me but has much more EXPERIENCE! Boy, having kids, saving money, & enjoying her lifestyle of travel is the way I'd like to go from this time on in my lone retirement, until the day, I die! Thanks Charity!
And the gadgets for the RV needs I didn’t know about It took over an hour to see Of course I was glad to learn of fabric glue and I thought all glue guns glue were just that Thank you for being such a great person to share your ideas for RV living but nothing can stop laziness in family to change the loo/ toilet roll Thank you for being you for sharing your beautiful home life with the world Amanda from Australia
My husband and I both use a cane for stability. We found that the dollar tree broom holders work great to hold our canes right next to our seats while traveling they are mounted on the wall under the shoulder belt, but back far enough so it doesn't interfere with the seat belt.
These are AWESOME space hacks! Wanted to add..they also work great in your kids dorm rooms at college! 😊That’s a place where you really have to get creative with space usage..and being organized! Thank you! LOVE the easy to make baskets ! Hello makeup, hairbrush and other bathroom items! 😊❤
I have seen many of your hacks that you have merged here. Well done.! *** my hacks*** I like a table cloth on my dinette table. A friend made us a beautiful wood table I want to protect… so, I have a table liner and a pretty table cloth on top…. I take the bed sheet garters (like you showed) and they go from side to side keeping the table cloth in place 💁🏻♀️ 2) we use the moisture absorber under the dinette seats… I got plastic cheap 4 cup measure cups. Then got loop style 3m command hooks, the handle of the measurement cups are then keep in place. I put the eliminator into the cups.
Quick suggestion on the Instant Pot and Air Fryer. These appliances are available with detachable AC power cords, which can be stored in the appliance when its not in use. No need for the cord keeper. By the way I'm new to RVing and have been looking for a resource exactly like your channel. Thanks for putting in the work, and safe travels!
I'd have to say the earring holder that's made out of a plexiglass picture frame and the baskets you made were my favorites. Been full-time RV living for 14 years. Thanks for you organizing tricks
We don't have room over the sink for the roll out drying rack while using the sink in our island. However, if you put the silicon/roll up drying rack on top of a kitchen drying mat or small towel on the counter top. The mat will absorb the water drips and the rack will allow airflow to get to the underside of things and everything will dry. Then roll it up and hang the mat on the oven handle or preferred place and recover your counter space.
Suggestion on your little extension cord. Use a command hook. Plug in your cord. Drape the cord over the hook. When you have the cord plugged in, the hook will keep it off the counter and out of the way. I use this trick for my electric can opener and electric water kettle. Cords out of the way😊
A helpful tip when using a glue gun is to use a tongue suppresser or a popsicle stick to press the pieces together so it shields your fingers. A lot of great hacks, especially enjoyed to toilet paper hack lol.
I just found you and so excited. My son and I live full time in an RV at an RV Park in Florida. I love it here! I was just talking to my sister, the best organizer I know personally, about things we can do to organize things in here. She has also lived in an RV for many years in the past. The disorganization in my RV is so getting on my nerves. I'm sending her this video. You gave so many great ideas! Thank you! I especially love the toilet paper tip...lol.
Without a doubt your best hack was that toilet paper thing with the spring loaded tube! WOW! I know some people that will be surprised about that. Your presentation of that hack was spot on.
Well I ran across your video within just a couple of weeks before my husband and I go full time ….. and I’ve started my must have list … absolutely will be using almost all of your hacks … We close on our sticks n bricks on the 21st and then we’re off … Hopefully it doesn’t end in divorce 😂 … we have camped for years … we tent camped until about 7 yrs ago … we always canoed or kayak down a river or creek until we come to a island to set up camp … I’m 58 and my husband is 65 … it was time to try out glamping with our 1st new to us 5th wheel …. ( I wasn’t used to having electricity while camping) lol … I’m spoiled now .. but yea … I’m glad I ran across your video at the perfect time … I was trying to figure out better ways for storage … Thanks again .. Safe travels and Happy Camping
Great ideas! We lived in our RV for 3 1/2 years with 5 children, years ago. Some of these would have really come in handy! Today, we're living in a fifth wheel while we build our house. Thank you for reminding me of all the way ways to expand storage! ❤
I also use plastic magazine holders to store all kinds of things in the odd sized nook and crannies in my travel trailer. I love the idea of the nano tape. Will buy a roll to keep in the RV. I use Gorilla tape too. Love the scalloped edge cord roll up holders for home too! Your DIY rug baskets are amazing. Love to watch your informative videos. Keep them coming. Happy and safe travels to you and your family!
I love your hacks! We have covered many miles in our travel trailer over the last 6 years, but you have proven there is always more to learn. It's impossible for me to pick one hack as a favorite. The toilet paper tutorial was great! 🤣 I love the Nano Tape, microfiber towels, towel holders & water quick connect. That last one will save me from getting wet because I never get that connection correct. Thanks a bunch.
I’d love to hear about tips for maintenance of an RV. What do you need, for maintenance, for a long trip. Thank you for sharing such great tips and ideas!
Hi Charity, I really loved the DIY earring holder...and made simple upgrades. I used the larger 8x10 inch acrylic photo frame. Then, I hot glued on a piece of black felt (+$1.25) so there is some contrast and reduced noise. I chose the large bright colored hairbands, and then hot glued Command Strips hooks upside down along the upper back side for my necklaces to drape down the front. It can also accommodate bracelets, too. It fits nicely into a drawer for travel days. I'm going to pass along your project idea to my grandson's Sunday School teacher for Valentine's Day or Mother's Day...Stickers, Colored paper for background, etc. Lots of ways to customized it! Thanks!! - Karen Vaughn
These tips are always interesting. Txs. Our hacks are: put Velcro buttons or double side tape on most, especially med cab as it eliminates redundant pack up/set up and hate reorg med cab tossed around and include place mats and cut boards too. We rarely need to reset up RV at next stop so out in 1/2 hr. Also use bubble wrap for shear curtains as stops ac/ heat loss but still get sunlight, yet privacy instead of window foil.
Thanks for putting these together. My favorite hack was using the shelf paper on the counter space. It keeps everything thing neat and handy when you need it.
This is one I need to use on top of the counter. I'm using it inside the shelves to prevent slippage. I forgot about the top of the counter. I have very little inside storage.
Great ideas, thx for the video. Something I used to do, instead of wrapping bottles with towels to keep them from rattling how about putting a rubberband around them? You wouldn't even have to do every one of them, just place the bands strategically. Would work on stuff in the kitchen too, like soy sauce and oils. An added plus, less bulky so you're gaining a couple inches. And sometimes an inch or two saved makes all the difference.
My husband and I just bought a travel trailer. We have never really camped before. You have given some great tips but, what is the most important we would need starting out.
Get a sway bar for the trailer. Makes a huge difference and is much safer when pulling the travel trailer down there road. Get someone to show you how to use it. Turn off propane tanks when moving. Check your roof on a regular basis (especially used) . Have fun 😊
Thanks for all the great ideas! I found that dollar store/WalMart carries 2 packs of drying mats for dishes. They make great bath mats ! They are absorbent and can be washed easily or thrown away since they are less than $1 a piece!
I haven't finished watching but i have already seen two great ideas that stand out for me. the basket under the table or the cords and the baby sheet clips. I wanted to add that we cover our couch it is very slick and the blankets do not stay in place but I'm thinking that the sheet clips just might do the trick. I will have to put the shelf liner to the test. I've had a toaster fall off the counter. it would be nice to not repeat that type of disaster. I'm going to mention the thermostat to my hubby, It looks simple enough that he might be on board with it. OMG! the nano tape is an amazing idea! I've never heard of it. I'm very intrigued by the you can wash and reuse comment. I also love the bins you assembled with the small carpets. I thought at first they were store bought. Thank you, for these ideas!
I love the bags. I wonder if gluing magnets to help keep them closed (given that nothing you pack sticks out). I’m going to try and make these I love it
The stay-put shelf liner can cost a bit and was too narrow to fit in some drawers and base cabinets in our RV. I found the same product to be used under area rugs in a various sizes. The "weave" is a bit larger but I was able to cut pieces to fit.
I use it iny drawers so things don't rattle and you can cut pieces to fit. It doesn't have to be all a single sheet. The left overs I put between glass items.
Great tips! I used to work as a logistics manager for DT during my college years (it worked around my school schedule as a full time employee and had a great group of hard working folks). I know she mentions it a lot during the video, but i still almost 15 years later check DT first on a budget. BUT if winterizing in area below sub freezing temps, don’t skimp on the quality of product. Organizing hacks- this video is great 🙌 Thank you for the video! Inspiring ❤
Loved the genius child drawer locks. Labels are a must, regardless if clear tubs. Fave tips are the magazine holder for water bottles and file holder for bathroom trash. The nano-taped boxes look so elegant! You're right that very best was daughter's basket on robe hooks.
I must say, that 2nd to last hack was life changing. We live in an apartment and our space is small. Having a hubby and 2 teenagers, this will be key in our space and mom saving attempts in the future. I feel that no matter how big you home is, it could work. Thank you for slowing down and making it so accessible to understand. Your teaching approach is invaluable!
Some of the hacks worked for my rig. I like using a rigid-sided medium sized bin with holes in the sides stood upright on the counter top by the door to hold a variety of incidentals. Included is a large grated parmesan cheese container with the label cut off for pens, pencils, scissors and even my toothbrush so it dries out easily. Love the magazine rack water bottle holder. Thank you for all the good ideas. Sometimes all it takes is another set of 👀
Love how you called out replacing the empty TP roll!!!! :D I find the holders that just have like an arm that you slide it on and dont' have the spring loaded deal seems to make it easier/faster to the point that it actually gets replaced more frequently lol. Great tips as always, love your videos!
There are so many great ideas here I need to watch it again. But, the cord saver, towel rack & hanger, and rug storage bags are ones I'll definitely use. Thank you! I watch your videos a bunch. I like to be a "tidy" glamper!
It’s nice to hide appliance cords, but winding them that tight will eventually break the filaments that make up the cord. 😅😅 given to me by a vacuum cleaner dealer. Most of your hints can be used at home too! I’ll have to look for baby waterproof sheets for my dogs! They look easier to handle than the big, partial slipcovers meant for pets.
Thank you for the great ideas. I wanted an outdoor drying rack for towels, shoes, etc., so I got a refrigerator rack from the dump. I use shoelaces to tie the back to the ladder and tie longer laces from the front to a rung above. I put macrame beads on the front edges to protect children's eyes. It works well and stores flat. To keep heat out and prevent sun rot, I push Dollar Tree windshield screens under window blinds on the sunny side. I bought a Dollar Tree broom handle, broom head, dustpan, dustmop head and dust mop. They take very little space. I cut the top off a juice bottle and use it to store the toilet brush. I keep a glass vase filled with glass pebbles in the bathroom. I put a solar light in it for a nightlight. I put them in a cupboard for travel.
I made the soft sided baskets for our little Shasta camper. I didn't use a carpet, I used placemats from Ollie's that I paid 99 cents for. They fit perfect in the overhead cabinet and holds our personal hygiene items. They are easy to grab when it comes time to shower and put right back.
My favorite I hope to try is the game bag hack. I am not currently in an RV, but already needed a better solution at my home. thanks. I also read on someone else’s comment the idea of putting socks on the water bottles, declanking, but also identifying and protection of water rings they might leave.
About a year ago I watched the video you did about the rug/placemat baskets and made two which turned out very cute. Today I'm watching this and loving the crib sheet idea with the sheet grippers for our truck camper! Best wishes.
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for posting this video. I am using every single one of your hacks because I am new to RV living and it’s really starting to wear on me but your hacks helped so much. Thank you thank you thank you
I have already watched some videos for a good organisation in the van with some lifehacks, but with you there were some new things. Thanks for that. Many greetings from germany and always have a safe journey.

Great idea, thanks for sharing
Someone watches Kathryn of Do It On A Dime!
Great idea
What a great idea!
Great idea! Do you use Command Hooks or tape to hang? I’m still trying to figure out what I can my use on my new 2023 class C
We keep a small dry erase board inside a cupboard. We put the campground address and our campsite number on it so we can call in case of fire.
Great idea!
Love this idea
Ingenious!!!
Love this!
Super awesome!
Ha, that’s funny
I have one in my Casita that says,,,, changing the toilet paper roll will not cause brain damage.
@@marvinlee3450 lol love it!
I often see those posts that say should the paper go over or under. I would be happy if someone else actually puts the paper on.
@@anitabellefeuille7362 Haha, for real!
Thanks for watching and sharing
Great idea! Thanks
I can’t stress how important it is to have a surge protector and also a water pressure reducer for the incoming water hose.
Please explain.... I'm new at having an rv n my mom just passed I don't know how to do anything yet... just figured out how to flush the toilet lol 🤦♀️
Oh that’s terrible. I’m
New to RVing as well. Lots to figure out. Best wishes and safe travels.
So right as these are sadly over looked until electronics fry or burst water in RV. Another is learn not to just walk up and flip breaker on instead of standing to side. Also use anti corrode grease on plug cause faulty connect can smoke plug.
I love the under the table basket with frequently used electronics and stuff. And the cord organizers.
Also the Bounce outdoor dryer sheets help prevent mice.
@FreeRangeLunatic
I started saving those silica packets from the supplements I get to use for future use.
Same! I literally just figured that out a couple of weeks ago!
@@debbieroberts1611Awesome idea!
Rather than looping your bathroom towel and having it short, and to be able to use more of the towel, you can pull both ends of it through a hair elastic. The hair elastic of course secures the towel like a pony tail.
Good idea!
I do not understand this bathroom towel tip.
I like your ideas! I have a few comments about them, just to put in my two cents worth:
• I like the towel rack idea.
Thanks for the comment and for watching
For cords I have a piece of tubing (I think it's similar to pex for water lines) and I cut it into 1" sections and then slice it open down one side so I can loop the cord and it holds the loops in place. When I need the cord length out, I just release one loop at a time for whatever length is needed. That's for phone and other small cords though. For appliance and other thick cords, a piece of pvc pipe would not need to be replaced as often as the toilet paper roll which also BTW, contains bathroom bacteria that we probably don't need to be transferring into our kitchen areas unnecessarily.
Get a microfiber dish drainer mat and use it in the bathroom as a bathmat great for small spaces.
Works VERY well! That’s what I did in mine :)
Been doing that for awhile.
I hope your family appreciates what a jewel they have in you. So many great ideas and your presentation made the video a pleasure to watch.
Thanks for the kind words
Love the way you fold the bathroom towel. For bathroom trash I bought a plastic cereal bin. It closes, seals and the bigger open flap makes it really easy to just open that way then re-close. It also uses a 4 gallon trash bag perfectly.
Nice hack!
I did the exact same thing for my rv bath trash can.
While watching this video your very idea came to mind bc I have a plastic cereal container I'm not using. 😊👍
@@BrittMFH people get grossed out with my idea but of course it's dedicated. Lol
Sounds like it’d be a good way to keep pets out of the trash too! 👍🏻
I really appreciate that you shared a RANGE from like supersuper cheap to still reasonable and for hacks that can be used in small spaces in general. Thank you!
Of course, thanks for watching
Great tip!
Plastic melts. You can just use a match or candle to soften sharp edges.
Thank you!
I am retired and live in a small cottage in Belize. I can use many of these hacks but I especially love the diy soft side storage. I have lived in an rv with my animals at one time.
Love the rug bag, I would add straps to make it a tote as well. Try using a popsicle stick instead of your fingers with the hot glue.
That is just too smart!🤣
The Dollar tree cooling rack as a dish drying rack... When i first saw the cooling rack at dollar tree, i immediately thought "that would make a perfect dish drying rack for my RV"
A good restroom trashcan is also a bread container with dipper bags as trash bags. We added a really slim cabinet alongside our over the toilet shelves and needed a small and tall trash can that fit inside of the thin cabinet. Bread holder for the win !
BTW, have made two of those rug bags. They work GREAT. I keep yarn in mine. Thanks for teaches us how to put them together. Quick, easy and they work.
I clapped AND LAUGHED SO HARD with the tp roll segment
We have been full-time RVing for only 5 months, so I love all of these tips, tricks, hacks, and mods! But the tp had me laughing because I tell my husband this ALL the time, but the 10 year-old gets it! 😆 Thank you! 😊 ❤️
Thanks for watching!
👍🏻
Favorites: under-the-table basket and the basket you made from a rug/placemat. THANK YOU.
Thank you!
Great tips!!! I noted the inside of your medicine cabinet is bare & thought, 💡attach the earring holder to the inside of your cupboard w/ removable command strips. Then you wouldn't need to put it away or use up counter space & would still be able to see them at a glance.😀
Magnets on the back of mirror door and earrings holder I used magnetic strips for hair clips
My best storage tip is take out cushion inserrts and replace with parkas, oodies or even the big towels
This woman is fantastic! She thinks like me but has much more EXPERIENCE! Boy, having kids, saving money, & enjoying her lifestyle of travel is the way I'd like to go from this time on in my lone retirement, until the day, I die! Thanks Charity!
And the gadgets for the RV needs I didn’t know about It took over an hour to see Of course I was glad to learn of fabric glue and I thought all glue guns glue were just that
Thank you for being such a great person to share your ideas for RV living but nothing can stop laziness in family to change the loo/ toilet roll Thank you for being you for sharing your beautiful home life with the world
Amanda from Australia
My husband and I both use a cane for stability. We found that the dollar tree broom holders work great to hold our canes right next to our seats while traveling they are mounted on the wall under the shoulder belt, but back far enough so it doesn't interfere with the seat belt.
Great idea!!
I'm enjoying these tips so much. I think I can use most of these for tiny house living, as well!😊
Awesome!!
I love the suggestions, hubby was at a meeting away from home while I watched this. He got an earful when he walked in the door.
😂
I have seen many of your hacks that you have merged here.
Well done.!
*** my hacks***
I like a table cloth on my dinette table. A friend made us a beautiful wood table I want to protect… so, I have a table liner and a pretty table cloth on top…. I take the bed sheet garters (like you showed) and they go from side to side keeping the table cloth in place 💁🏻♀️
2) we use the moisture absorber under the dinette seats… I got plastic cheap 4 cup measure cups. Then got loop style 3m command hooks, the handle of the measurement cups are then keep in place. I put the eliminator into the cups.
omgoodness, I ABSOLUTELY LOOOVED YOUR INFO FOR THE TOILET PAPER ROLL...LOVE IT..ALL GRANDKIDS AND HUSBAND WILL BE WATCHING THIS WEEK !!! THANK YOU
Thanks for watching
Quick suggestion on the Instant Pot and Air Fryer. These appliances are available with detachable AC power cords, which can be stored in the appliance when its not in use. No need for the cord keeper.
By the way I'm new to RVing and have been looking for a resource exactly like your channel. Thanks for putting in the work, and safe travels!
Storing a cord in the cooking vessel is unhygienic to a lot of ppl
I'd have to say the earring holder that's made out of a plexiglass picture frame and the baskets you made were my favorites. Been full-time RV living for 14 years. Thanks for you organizing tricks
Thanks for watching
We don't have room over the sink for the roll out drying rack while using the sink in our island. However, if you put the silicon/roll up drying rack on top of a kitchen drying mat or small towel on the counter top. The mat will absorb the water drips and the rack will allow airflow to get to the underside of things and everything will dry. Then roll it up and hang the mat on the oven handle or preferred place and recover your counter space.
Yes! Thanks for the great idea. I'd probably have eventually come to that idea myself but who knows.....😊👍
OCD kicks in when the towels were put in backwards. Cord basket 👍 dehumidifiers 👍 board games 👍 nano tape ❤
Suggestion on your little extension cord. Use a command hook.
Plug in your cord. Drape the cord over the hook. When you have the cord plugged in, the hook will keep it off the counter and out of the way. I use this trick for my electric can opener and electric water kettle. Cords out of the way😊
Great tips ! But now, at least 10 of these hacks have so much turned my life around that I don't know where I am anymore ! 😁
A helpful tip when using a glue gun is to use a tongue suppresser or a popsicle stick to press the pieces together so it shields your fingers. A lot of great hacks, especially enjoyed to toilet paper hack lol.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned but Dollar Tree has fingertip protectors for when using hot glue! Game changer! I was forever burning my fingers.
Happy to help! Thanks for watching and sharing!
As a granny... these child locks are perfect when the grands come to visit at home as well.
Without a doubt your best hack was that toilet paper thing with the spring loaded tube! WOW! I know some people that will be surprised about that. Your presentation of that hack was spot on.
😉
I loved the adhesive cord winders for pots, and the wire basket for under table storage!
Safe travels!
Omg, the board game hack is genius! Great info, thank you!
You're so welcome!
A lot of these tips would be great for small apartments as well.
Great ideas! We lived in our RV for 3 1/2 years with 5 children, years ago. Some of these would have really come in handy!
Today, we're living in a fifth wheel while we build our house. Thank you for reminding me of all the way ways to expand storage! ❤
Hubby got a laugh when I showed him the toilet roll “very serious problem “ part. Love your hacks 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks for watching and the kind words
I love your hacks! We have covered many miles in our travel trailer over the last 6 years, but you have proven there is always more to learn. It's impossible for me to pick one hack as a favorite. The toilet paper tutorial was great! 🤣 I love the Nano Tape, microfiber towels, towel holders & water quick connect. That last one will save me from getting wet because I never get that connection correct. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks for watching
I’d love to hear about tips for maintenance of an RV. What do you need, for maintenance, for a long trip. Thank you for sharing such great tips and ideas!
Out of every great advice you have given....The toilet paper roll replacement deserves an AWARD 🎉🎉😅😂😂🎉
Zip tie the back of the towel holders. Guarantee by now you caught and ripped a towel or cut their hand. Cut zip ties are sharp.
The childproof cabinet locks are awesome! My favorite diy was the towel rack. Thanks for the video!
Great information. But I really hope you don't de-claw animals!
Oh, love this! Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching
Thanks for the suggestion
Nice find!
Thanks for watching
I love the bags. I wonder if gluing magnets to help keep them closed (given that nothing you pack sticks out). I’m going to try and make these I love it
Great idea!
The stay-put shelf liner can cost a bit and was too narrow to fit in some drawers and base cabinets in our RV. I found the same product to be used under area rugs in a various sizes. The "weave" is a bit larger but I was able to cut pieces to fit.
Good to know!
It also comes in rolls at dollar tree.
Organizing hacks- this video is great 🙌
Thank you for the video! Inspiring ❤
Thanks for sharing!!
We are so new to RVing that I loved every hack! We haven't even taken our first trip yet so I am in the decor and supplies stage. Thanks for sharing!
This content is a rare find. A book I read on the subject was an equally scarce treasure. "Adapting with Aging" by James Crescent
Thank you!
So far i like the bathroom garbage idea and nano tape
Use tension curtain rods in cupboards to keep things in place and from falling out.I use even in medicine cabinet 🎉🎉
👍🏻
Some of the hacks worked for my rig. I like using a rigid-sided medium sized bin with holes in the sides stood upright on the counter top by the door to hold a variety of incidentals. Included is a large grated parmesan cheese container with the label cut off for pens, pencils, scissors and even my toothbrush so it dries out easily. Love the magazine rack water bottle holder. Thank you for all the good ideas. Sometimes all it takes is another set of 👀
Thanks for watching!
I recently learned that the flip top lid from parmesan cheese fits a mason jar (canning jar).
@@Jinjerbread317 that is the coolest discovery! Thanks for the tip
32.45. YES! Thankyou!
Made me sub! Lol
Love how you called out replacing the empty TP roll!!!! :D I find the holders that just have like an arm that you slide it on and dont' have the spring loaded deal seems to make it easier/faster to the point that it actually gets replaced more frequently lol. Great tips as always, love your videos!
I use the TP holder with the arm installed vertically. Wish I had done that in my house.
Love the towel holder w/ napkin cage. My favorite was the Rug bins with robe hooks❤
Seven years of full-time travel and I learned so many great ideas. Thank you!
There are so many great ideas here I need to watch it again. But, the cord saver, towel rack & hanger, and rug storage bags are ones I'll definitely use. Thank you! I watch your videos a bunch. I like to be a "tidy" glamper!
💙
Great ideas, thanks for sharing
I had forgotten about the fridge fan. They do help keep the temp the same through the fridge by circulating the air. Prevents cold /hot spots. Thanks.
The toilet paper hack made me laugh! 😂
Love the DiY soft baskets
* nano tape
*quick connect for water hose
*fridge fan
Thanks for your video!
You are so welcome!
I made the soft sided baskets for our little Shasta camper. I didn't use a carpet, I used placemats from Ollie's that I paid 99 cents for. They fit perfect in the overhead cabinet and holds our personal hygiene items. They are easy to grab when it comes time to shower and put right back.
Awesome!
My favorite I hope to try is the game bag hack. I am not currently in an RV, but already needed a better solution at my home. thanks.
I also read on someone else’s comment the idea of putting socks on the water bottles, declanking, but also identifying and protection of water rings they might leave.
Great suggestions - thanks for the comment and for watching
About a year ago I watched the video you did about the rug/placemat baskets and made two which turned out very cute. Today I'm watching this and loving the crib sheet idea with the sheet grippers for our truck camper! Best wishes.
Thanks!
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for posting this video. I am using every single one of your hacks because I am new to RV living and it’s really starting to wear on me but your hacks helped so much. Thank you thank you thank you
Thanks for watching
Great job. Really liked the child proof locks that can be turned off and on. Brilliant.
I have already watched some videos for a good organisation in the van with some lifehacks, but with you there were some new things. Thanks for that. Many greetings from germany and always have a safe journey.
