I love the shoe organizer and where you installed it. I have always put my 20+ pairs of shoes in a HomeGoods bag under the bed 😂. I also love the phone case. I put the shelf liner down in all cabinets when we first got our camper. I love to organize. I guess it’s the teacher in me. BTW. Bruce loves Spam.
I LOVE organizing too! It can be costly though so I pace myself 😂 The shoe organizer is so convenient!! I just keep my most used pairs in there and others in the bin. Stan does the same. The liners are a good idea. Keeps things from sliding around 👏 ❤️Rhonda
May I suggest putting the heavier cans on the bottom of the rack instead of the top. We have a similar rack; it works well, but if the road is rough it will shift.
Great suggestion! We are about to hit the road again Monday so I loaded the bigger cans on the bottom. I have a few too big to fit between bottom and middle rack so had to load them on the top, but think it will work better. Thanks so much for reaching out 🤗 Rhonda
I bought the bamboo unit at Costco with a 2-piece top shelf instead of 1 piece. I love it, but it did slide a little while traveling, so I put museum putty in between the pieces and it worked great.
Hello Sharlene, Thank you for your kind comment! The closet space we have is just the two cabinets on either side of the bed. We find the best use for it is to hang up as many clothes as possible. Even t-shirts to free up space in the two drawers. I have seen folks use the soft-sided hanging closet organizers in the closet space. I just find the space is better used to hang items. Overhead we have the cabinets and I like these soft sided, decorative bins they sell at Walmart for things like jeans, shorts, sweats and work-out clothes. I have two above and my husband has two as well. We feel for our 6-8 week trips it's just enough. I'll send you a link to my packing video as well. Hopefully you will find that helpful as well. Thanks again for your kind comment and for reaching out!! ruclips.net/video/G4-tOxISkVI/видео.html Rhonda
Hi Y'all! My husband and I just bought our first RV! We pick it up this week! We fell in love with the Grand Design 23LDE. Thank you for all the storage ideas you have been sharing! New Subscriber here! Hugs, Kim
Hello!! Congratulations 🎈🎉🎊🍾 Welcome to the Grand Design family. Also, thank for joining us and being apart of Team OTHA we appreciate you following us. Stan and Rhonda❤️
Such good ideas! We just picked up our new Imagine MK 2670 last week. So this past week I’ve been trying to figure out where everything is going. We will be traveling with our German Shepherd and our B&G Macaw. So aside from our stuff to be stored away I need to store away pet stuff.
Lorain, Congratulations on your new GD travel trailer 👏 Getting organized is part of the fun! We travel with two smaller dogs, but with that said, they still require all their “stuff”. 😆 We pretty much use one side of the dinette storage for the dog food, treats, camping cot, etc. We have a plastic bin that we keep the canned food in so we can just pull it out easily. The dogs sleep on either side of our bed on their beds. In the past we have also turned the dinette table so the table feet are by the benches and put a dog bed under the table in the carpet. Hope this helps! We look forward to hearing how your adventures are going! Thank you for watching! ~ Rhonda and Stan
When organizing, remember you will probably move things a few times before you are satisfied with the arrangement. We are getting ready for a long trip and have discussed going through the stuff under the jack knife sofa that has been hiding under there for 3 years. I don't even remember what is under there. 🙂
First time watching your videos! Great information! I noticed, however, when you were installing the plastic lid storage rack that you installed incorrectly the Command strips on the rack. The Command strip has one side with black writing and one side with red writing. The black side goes on the wall (or cabinet door, in your case). I suppose that makes it easier to remove, when the time comes? In any event, if you forget which way the strips attach, I believe the black writing say “to the wall.” Happy organizing!
So true! We all need a place for our stuff 🤣 Every thing has it’s place for sure! Now that you guys have your new rig it’s time to figure that all out again 👏🤣 Great to hear from you as always ❤️
Thank you for the tip Rusty. 👍 For us, we eat them so quickly that it never was a problem. If they start to brown I love freezing them for my protein drinks. Thanks for sharing. ~ Rhonda and Stan
Thank you for the organizational tips! I thought I noticed you had a towel rack on the bathroom side of your sliding door between the bathroom/main living space. How does that work when you open/close sliding door?
Good morning Gay, Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, that towel rack was on the sliding barn door when we purchased the trailer. It works fine when it slides since it’s on the outside of the door and doesn’t interfere with the wall. It’s a great location. Hope this helps. Blessings, Rhonda
Thanks for sharing your good feedback on the shoe holder from personal experience. 👏 We like it too, but I should have bought the one with XL pockets so the shoes fit better. Thanks for watching and reaching out! ~ Rhonda
Hi Cynthia! I believe you are asking about the one I had by the stove? I love my spice racks and the containers fit perfectly. They almost popped in there so they didn’t shift at all. The containers are plastic and my only complaint would be that the holes are large so spices come out quickly so I just had to be aware. I’d be happy to send you Amazon links if you would like. Thanks for reaching out! ~ Rhonda
Cynthia, Sorry for the delay! Here is a link to our Organization Products from Amazon. The shoe rack item looks good, but do you have to lift the bed every time you put shoes in a note? We found a small little three shelf rack for our shoes cause next to the bed tips over once in a while, but works out good. I’ll have to tell my wife about the alcohol and hold him for three seconds. She’s tried command strips and they just don’t work for her. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your videos a lot. Thanks from Wisconsin.
Hi Robert, The nice thing about the shoe pockets is you do not have to lift the bed to put shoes in or out 🙌 We have been traveling the past two weeks with it and LOVE all the items. I know what shelf you are talking about! I entertained that one early on, but that’s where our dogs sleep, lol. Let your wife know to clean with the alcohol, hold for 30 seconds and then wait 24 hours to put any weight on them. 👍 Thanks for always reaching out and commenting. We appreciate you! ~ Rhonda
Hi Charlie, we live in Lake Havasu, Az temperature gets to 120 degrees. It has failed for us. We know that you have to clean the surface really well before applying the Command Strips. Rhonda uses alcohol. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️

When we were poor and just emigrated to the United States, Spam, Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup over rice was my favorite meal. We only had minor leaks in our RV. They all leak it’s an easy fix for some people. Stan and Rhonda
Thanks! Great ideas. We've got our choice down to a 2500RL or a 2600RB. Your storage solutions will work for either. Do you have a place you keep the trashcan?
Hi Mary, yes right under the pop up counter. When we travel down the road and put the pop up countertop down we place the trash can in the middle of the kitchen. Hope this helps. Congratulations on your choice you won’t be sorry. Make sure you get it professionally inspected. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda❤️
@@OverTheHillAdventures thanks so much! Why didn’t I think of that?!? LOL! We’re definitely leaning towards the 2500RL. One more question…what about dirty laundry? Like you, when hubs retires, we’ll be (God willing) out exploring 1-3 months at a time…maybe more. We’ll need to hit some laundry mats for sure but wondering where to keep it until then. Thanks much!
@@maryrinkevich9275 Hi Mary, as a couples trailer you just can’t beat the 2500RL the floor plan works great with the bathroom in the middle. While you are traveling, two doors allows access to the bathroom and kitchen without putting the slide out especially at rest stops. It also makes it easy while loading your groceries at a Walmart and loading for the trip. We have a mesh laundry bag that stands up underneath the bed. This is a great storage area for extra shoes too! Put a dryer sheet in with the dirty clothes and keeps it smelling fresh until your ready to head to the laundromat. Hope this helps! Stan and Rhonda❤️
Nice shoe organizer. I would've just put cup hooks in the wood. Why are you plugging the phone charger into the AC plug when there are USB plugs right beside it? Just unplug the USB cable from the brick. Using the AC plug uses the inverter to change your DC house battery into AC, and the brick changes it back to DC, this wastes power. By plugging your phone directly into the built-in USB plugs, you're going DC to DC and don't need to use the inverter. Jon in rural BC, Canada
Hey Y'all! We really enjoy your videos and all the tips you have. We upgraded a bit from the Imagine XLS 22MLE to the 2024 2500RL last fall. I have a question about storage under the dinette. Do you have the small doors under the dinette seats, and if so, what do you use for storage solutions under there??? Help!! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.
Hi Nan! Thank you for your kind comment! We certainly appreciate it ☺️ Congratulations on the upgrade! We love the 2500RL floorplan 👏 Hard to beat that en suite bathroom 🚽 Yes, we have the small doors under the dinette. I try to keep lighter items in the dinette storage because of it being in the slide. I used to keep water bottles, but the hubby said not a good idea. Now water goes under the bed. I keep things in there that I don’t have to get to very often like my rice cooker and our hydration packs. I do keep the dog food and necessities in a bin under the left bench and a few extra drinks in a bin under the right bench. I keep a few gallon size water bottles under there too so I can easily access them. We keep bulky winter jackets in the ottoman. Hope this is helpful! Rhonda
Hi Dave, Stan installed a wall mount toilet paper holder on the small wall on the bedroom side of the bathroom next to the shower. It’s the kind that you slip the roll on to and he installed it vertically. Hope that helps and makes sense. Wow! You got seven years out of your command strips and in extreme temps?! That’s a testament to how well they work if I ever heard one, lol! Thanks for sharing! So many folks are worried about how long they will last and I have never had any trouble. I think taking the time to install them correctly in the beginning helps as well. Thanks for reaching out and sharing! Blessings, Rhonda
Actually carrying cans of anything weighs down the trailer, far better to use freeze dried foods that last many years and are light as a feather and easy to use.
You’re certainly welcome! There is definitely a learning curve with the RV oven and temperature control. I just make it like usual. I mainly make a vegetarian lasagna and turns out great. Thank you for watching! ~ Rhonda
Hello there. The canned food holder slopes forward to keep the cans to the front of the rack. It’s worked out great for us in the trailer. Thanks for watching! ~ Rhonda
Hi Jack! Thanks for watching and for reaching out 👏 Fortunately it lifts up and we can make the most of the space underneath by keeping our hamper and extra drinks in there. Not to mention our inflatable kayak 😅 Have a great Thanksgiving. ~ Rhonda and Stan

I am full time in my RV so I'm able to Travel and Perform environmental experiments in the areas I travel. Thank you for your Service as a Law enforcement officer. You might be interested in the fact a month ago I was approached by a Police officer because I was turned in as a suspicious subject because I was sitting outside my RV at a table looking thru my electron Microscope. I was hand cuffed and detained as they searched my RV. I was later unhand cuffed and received an apology. I was suspected of drug dealing LOL. I will look further at you and your wife's channel I'm wanting to learn how to maximize my storage and not have a huge Clutter.
First off, I did not accuse you of anything I simply said it looks suspicious. I did not mean to be offensive I simply felt like some red flags popped up. As for you saying, "Sorry to disappoint you there is no money in what we do" Can I ask who is getting all the advertising money then? I wish you both the best and no I'm not some Troll just an individual that when I see something suspicious, I say something.
Hi Rick, thank you for clarifying. Our channel is monetized. However, we are a very small channel. We make little to no money for what we do. In other words, we spend more than we make. RUclips will put ads on your channel if you are monetized or not. I’m sure RUclips makes a lot of money on advertising money. I’m sure some of these big channels who have over 100K subscribers do pretty well. That definitely is not us. What we do is to inspire, encourage folks to get active and find their new adventure. It keeps us very busy and active in our retirement. We feel like we are helping folks to find short cuts to save money and help whenever they need it. We spend countless hours just helping folks just by just answering questions. Some folks live vicariously through our channel as they watch our adventures. We have been in public service most of our lives. This is how we give back. Most importantly we want share the light of the Lord to whoever we come in contact with. I hope this clarifies what a small channel like us might do. There are a lot of RUclipsrs who use RUclips as a ministry.
God bless you. I am a Christian and I don’t have much all I can do is try to help others as well. You are definitely blessing people with your channel. I am one of them thank you so much for the great advice. May God bless you and your family

Keeps things from sliding around 👏

HI Rhonda, Great video.. I found a metal sliding storage rack that is amazing as well.
Hi Alan! Did you get it from Amazon? Love to know what you got! Thanks for reaching out. ~ Rhonda
Hi Julie, Good to know they sell it at Costco as well! Great idea with the putty too! This is why I love this community. Thanks for sharing 🙏 ~ Rhonda
Great Job❣️
I used your ideas for my small studio apartment.
Hi Lindsay, glad to help! Rhonda❤️
Your video was great. What suggestions do you have for your closest?
Hello Sharlene,
Thank you for your kind comment!

Hi Y'all! My husband and I just bought our first RV! We pick it up this week! We fell in love with the Grand Design 23LDE. Thank you for all the storage ideas you have been sharing! New Subscriber here! Hugs, Kim

I like the bag…I’ve seen the longer ones. In roping.
Hello Teaally, I am glad you like them! Thank you for sharing. Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Awesome information video. Thanks.
Hi Kathy, thank you for joining us! Rhonda❤️🙏🏼
Such good ideas!
We just picked up our new
Imagine MK 2670 last week.
Thank you!
Always great to see how people store things. The biggest issue is where do I put all this stuff 😂. Great ideas and video 👍🏿
So true! We all need a place for our stuff 🤣 Every thing has it’s place for sure! Now that you guys have your new rig it’s time to figure that all out again 👏🤣 Great to hear from you as always ❤️
Heat rises. My cupboards are during the summer maybe the hottest part of my van. I wouldn’t storm a bananas up there, but that’s just me.
Thank you for the tip Rusty. 👍 For us, we eat them so quickly that it never was a problem. If they start to brown I love freezing them for my protein drinks. Thanks for sharing. ~ Rhonda and Stan
Same way in my Rv the cabinets are sooo hot !
Where do you store Reynolds wrap, zip lock bags, etc.
Thanks for all your tips.
Hi Bruce, we store them in the second drawer down under the sink. Thank you for joining us!! Rhonda
I have the shoe holder and I love it
Thanks for sharing your good feedback on the shoe holder from personal experience. 👏 We like it too, but I should have bought the one with XL pockets so the shoes fit better. Thanks for watching and reaching out! ~ Rhonda
Can you tell me anything about your spice racks? Is there any problems with the jars popping out when on the road?
~ Rhonda
@@OverTheHillAdventuresyes please send along the link! Thanks so much

Thank you, Babs! I love hearing from you each week! ❤️ Rhonda
I love you ideas. Those fruit bags i would hang and keep clean sish rags in it.
Thank you for the tip!🙌
Thanks for always reaching out and commenting. We appreciate you!

Great ideas - thank you from Liverpool UK
Hello Nikki, thank you for joining us all the way from Liverpool UK. We hope you continue to join us on our journey. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Command strips don't work well for me. When the trailer gets to hot during summer they fall off . Any suggestions?
Hi Charlie, we live in Lake Havasu, Az temperature gets to 120 degrees. It has failed for us. We know that you have to clean the surface really well before applying the Command Strips. Rhonda uses alcohol. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
use the Velcro type

You need to put rubber shelf liner underneath the rack so that the rack does not slide all over

you carry SPAM to eat or too fix leaking cracks in a Grand Design RV???
When we were poor and just emigrated to the United States, Spam, Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup over rice was my favorite meal. We only had minor leaks in our RV. They all leak it’s an easy fix for some people. Stan and Rhonda

Sorry this was for the jars. The other is the correct one.
It helps VERY much! Thanks guys! Safe travels and thanks for the great content and tips! ❤️. Mary and Tim

We certainly appreciate it ☺️
Congratulations on the upgrade! We love the 2500RL floorplan 👏 Hard to beat that en suite bathroom 🚽
Yes, we have the small doors under the dinette. Rhonda
Yes! Very helpful! Thanks so much!! @@OverTheHillAdventures
what did you do in the imagine 2500 rl for a toilet paper holder in the bathroom? thanks
Hi Dave, Stan installed a wall mount toilet paper holder on the small wall on the bedroom side of the bathroom next to the shower. It’s the kind that you slip the roll on to and he installed it vertically. Hope that helps and makes sense. My command strips finally failed after seven years in sub-arctic winters and three hot summers in Montana.
Spam…….that’s like gold
Actually carrying cans of anything weighs down the trailer, far better to use freeze dried foods that last many years and are light as a feather and easy to use.
Thanks so much for sharing your organizing tips! Would love to know how you make your lasagna in the camper!!!
You’re certainly welcome! There is definitely a learning curve with the RV oven and temperature control. I just make it like usual. I mainly make a vegetarian lasagna and turns out great. Thank you for watching!
