Thank you for your great question. We cook mostly outside However, although it looks close it really is not over the heat. When I use to own a restaurant, I kept most spices on the rack over the stove for easy access. I did not find that it damage the flavor of the spice. A true enemy of spices is how long you keep them around without using them. So never buy to much spice. Thanks again for stopping by. Stan
We just bought an Imagine 17MKE! Moved up from an Rpod, so are amazed at the storage. We haven’t decided where to hang our paper towels holder or shower dispenser yet. I think we need to spend more time in it first. Great ideas!

My camper fridge is magnetic so I bought spice containers with magnetic backs and my spices live on the freezer door. I also have a magnetic paper towel holder on the fridge door. They work perfect! Those 3 pocket wall hangings you showed are perfect in the bathroom for holding extra rolls of toilet paper. I have one in our tiny camper bathroom and it saves tons of room.

Hi Mary Beth! Congratulations!! How exciting 👏 We love love love this trailer still, lol. We have a 6 month review and a one year review video as well you might enjoy! Do you have any trips planned yet ? Rhonda
I have the same dish rack! And I love it! You could also sit it inside the sink as they dry, to save your counter space too. This past weekend, I got a roll up over the sink dish rack. It helps create more horizontal space, you could sit the dish rack on it, and you can use it for drying if you just have a few dishes.
Terry, Congratulations again on the trailer!! This is a very exciting season for you both. Makes me so happy to hear these ideas were helpful. I appreciate you watching and thank you for your kind words. Happy travels 👏🤗. Rhonda
I also bought collaspable silicon storage bowls, measuring cups and measuring spoons. Great space savers. Just make sure you don't store tomato based foods and strong smelling foods/ingredients in those storage bowls. Yep, live and learn. Good channel!

Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s the little things in life sometimes, isn’t it? Glad to hear you liked the ideas and I hope they were helpful for you. Blessings, Rhonda
I bought the collapsible dish drain and used it last summer. The silverware doesn't stay put as the mouth of those 3 holders are huge! Also, the water tray is small and if doing a lot dishes, water overflows. I can deal with those 2 issues and it's no big deal. What I really do not like about it, you must dry the rack very well before you collapse it down, or you can get musty smells and it will drip water in the space you store. It takes a lot of time to dry. It's a great concept, though
Susan, Thank you for your input! I did find the silverware slides down into the tray sometimes as well because the holders are a bit big. I have been placing my tray on top of a drying mat just in case water overflows or drips. I also figured out that it fits perfectly on one side of the sink still giving me room to access the sink. I haven’t noticed the musty smell, but thanks for the heads up to dry it well before putting it away. I appreciate your contribution to our channel! Rhonda
Love my collapsible dish rack. I tried using the slotted rack over one side of my sink to dry my dishes but it just didn't work well. Hubby found that drying rack and it's wonderful. Going to have to look for those in storage containers and the cloth hanging storage
Jincy, I love mine as well and just discovered that it fits perfectly over one side of the the sink. Haven’t tried it out yet since we are part time rvers. I usually put it on the drying mat on the collapsible counter. I do have links in the video description for the other items. So happy the video was helpful. Thank you for your input! Rhonda

Hi! It looks like we have a similar RV. I bought the exact same collapsible dish rack, and put it on the left side of my sink, inside the sink. Still plenty of room to wash the dishes!
Hello there 👋 That’s a great idea! Mine fits it there too, but I still tend to set it on the drying mat on the collapsible counter, but nice to know we have options 🤗 Thanks so much for watching and for your contribution to this subject matter. Love how the RV community helps each other 🙌 Blessings, Rhonda
Erika, Oh that’s a nice feature. This one has a little tray underneath that slides out and allows the water to drain. It’s fun hearing about different options though! Thanks for you comment 👏 ~Rhonda
oh nooo hold onto the on the counter paper towel roll holder and get some adhesive and put it under the sink verticle on the back of the cabinet ... they hold 3 toilet paper rolls!!!! so u can have extras on ur rv bathroom =) or hang vertical in kitchen as a dish towel holder or think about what else u can use it for like hang vertical in the closet to hold scarves and belts or ties... etc... =)
Wendy, Thank you for that suggestion! There would be room, but I was concerned about being able to shut the cabinet door if it were to hit the contents inside. I personally prefer them to be handy and I felt like they were decorative at the same time especially after I purchased new matching spice containers. ( I show these in my other storage ideas video :) I appreciate your contribution to this video in sharing your thoughts. Blessings, Rhonda
Renee, I’m happy you found the video helpful! You will like those little bags. Makes storing masks, keys, glasses, etc. very convenient. Thank you for reaching out and letting me know! Safe travels to you too! Rhonda and Stan
Thank you so much for this video, much appreciate your thorough information on the items and I will be getting them. I just came across your channel and have watched a few of them. I noticed you had some nice bins in your upper cabinet above the sink, can you let me know where you got them and the sizes? I watch most RUclips on TV so if you included them on that video I'll look for it there. Thanks again, love your down to earth, positive attitudes.
Hello! It’s important to us to keep our channel positive and it’s nice to get encouraging comments like yours. The bins above the sink were purchased at Wal Mart and are made by CURVER, 4.7qt.. They measure 7.5” wide by 10” long and they fit perfectly in that cabinet. Hope this helps! Thanks again for watching and reaching out! Rhonda
Do not worry that you may not have properly placed the paper towel roll. My wife is addicted to those 3m sticky things for everything. 100% have come undone at various times. Then you can try a different place.
Well, everything Rhonda has stuck on walls, bathrooms, and under cabinets have not come off. Still waiting for something to come undone after almost a year and 10,000 miles. Thanks for the comment Gene Gene!!
Enjoyed the tips and having a couple of the items from Amazon on the way. Enjoy the videos. We have a couple of e bikes we will be carrying as well, looks like you guys put yours in the truck bed. Would love to help! Let me check out your trailer on RUclips and see what I can come up with. Do you own it already or looking to buy? I will send you a link to my 9 storage ideas video for you to check out in the meantime. Thanks for watching!! Rhonda
I've had a chance to take a look at your 5th wheel and WOW, what a gorgeous rig!! There is so much storage space! First off I would say, bins bins and more bins. There are nice decorative plastic bins at Target, Walmart and online. Soft sided bins would be a nice touch in the bedroom and living areas. I would start by measuring your cabinets where you want to place them and go from there. In the bathroom, our favorite is the wall mounted soap dispenser. It keeps the bottles off of the shower floor. I also love my adhesive razor hooks. I would suggest an ottoman for your living area to double as a foot rest and storage for blankets. In the kitchen: bins, command hooks on the tile backsplash to hold utensils or a knife holder for your knives, expandable drawer trays and air tight food storage containers for your pantry. These are a few of the ideas that came to mind as I watched the walk through on your trailer model. I would be willing to send you some more exact links if you were interested. We are Amazon and Walmart Affiliates and I can send links to specific products through our affiliate program. Please let me know and we can correspond through email. Blessings, Rhonda
Hi Kristie, we have been traveling for a year. Camping in sub freezing temperatures and very hot temperatures. So far no problems. 🙌. Much better than screwing holes in your walls blindly not knowing what is behind the walls. Have you had some adhesive come off? I made sure to clean the surfaces really well before applying the command strips. Thank you so much for your comments and watching our video. Stan and Rhonda
I would have put the spice rack under the upper cupboards, left of the stove. By placing back of rack to bottom of cupboards than you could store spices on their side instead of standing in rack.truly out of the way and far less noticeable. Square bottles work best but the round ones do too.
Linda. Great idea!! After having two restaurants in the early 90’s, I have always wanted my spices accessible and easy to see when I cook. I love where Rhonda put the spice rack. It makes it so easy for me to grab and go. Especially when I need to put a dash here or a dash there. Everything I need is right there! The labels are easy to see plus it backs up what is in the clear container. A lot of folks hide their spices away and never really know what they have. We know exactly what we have because it’s right there in front of you for easy cooking. Thank you so much for watching our video. Stan and Rhonda
I have been in hospitality for 50 years. Owned my own off-sight catering firm for many of those years. The largest group I ever served was 700. Still love to prepare flavorful dishes of every kind. A touch of this and a pinch of that is what allows for the creativity of a good cook/chef. As you can imagine I have many herbs and spices. With counter space prime real estate in the kitchen every item has to have a home. Every home has to be easily accessible, easy to keep organized and clean. And for me out of sight. My husband designed spice/herb racks that fold down from the top cupboards than folds back up to blend with them. The extra 3 inches for the racks when closed is one of the handiest, invisible features of our kitchen. You solution is great for you small space.🧂

Great video!!! Need your help…I’m looking for a basket of some sort to put in my super long cubby storage (shelves) in the bathroom. You know…where the rolled up towels are supposed to go. No one can reach back there, but I figured if I put a basket in there maybe I can put toilet paper in it and not waste the space. Any suggestions???
Hi Judeen, Thanks for watching and I’d be happy to help! I actually did another video and highlighted several of the bins I use including the bathroom cubby bins. I’ll give you a link to them on Amazon, but you can get them anywhere. They are the Command Hook 5lbs. They have held up great since I put them up 2 years ago and are still holding strong 👏 I always clean the area first with rubbing alcohol and then wait for it to dry thoroughly before putting the command strip up. Then press on it for 30 seconds. I also wait 24 hours before I put any weight on it. Hope this helps! ~ Rhonda 5 lbs. Command Hooks amzn.to/2WrP595

Darla, Thank you for watching! There are two doors on the trailer so the bathroom is accessible from the bedroom door. This makes it easy when we have to make a potty stop on the road, lol. It also has Compass Connect so you can remotely turn on the pump without having to go into the living room section. If you want to grab something from the fridge during that stop you do have to go in the other door, but it has not been an inconvenience for us at all. We’ve also been able to pop out the slide just enough at rest stops to get back and forth from bathroom to kitchen. We have a few other videos you may want to watch that review the trailer right when we got it and then 6 months later. I appreciate your contribution to our channel! Best wishes on your trailer search! Keep us posted! Blessings, Rhonda and Stan
Hello Tomme, no we have not had any problems with our Schwintek slide. We only use the recommended dry lubricant. CRC with PTFE. We have just finished traveling 26,000 miles. Everything on our rig is still working amazingly well.
@@OverTheHillAdventures , I am so glad to hear that. We are buying a used 2021, that was only used twice. It was an older couple in their 70s who bought it and the lady passed away. We are buying it from grand design dealer and they are going through it to do an inspection. I will definitely buy the dry lubricant. Where do you buy it from, the dealer or?

Lane, works incredibly great!! We are not full timers but we have been on the road for a month. All of the items I put up has stayed up. Thanks for watching and really appreciate the question. Rhonda
Does the dish drain fit in the sink? Do you have to use a tub to wash the dishes? The wall in back of the stove, is it washable, or would you need a backing on the wall like that in back of the sink? It didn't look like there was a light above the kitchen sink. Is the light from the one by the window enough to see to wash the dishes?
Hello James, I’m in the trailer right now trying out the dish drainer in the sink and yes, it fits perfectly. It can sit in the sink length ways or it sits nicely on the rim of the sink to one side still giving space underneath. I don’t think a tub will be necessary since it sits to the side giving me still about a foot of space to wash dishes. I set the dish drainer on the counter on a drying mat, but this way would work great too. The wall behind the stove is the wall paper that is throughout the trailer. I clean it using a moist sponge, but don’t over wet it. No light directly above the sink, but the light underneath the cabinet in the corner does a great job at lighting up the sink. Hope this was helpful! Thank you for reaching out! Rhonda
@@OverTheHillAdventures Yes. I buying a 2500RL with a delivery date of early June, so I am very interested in what to expect on the trailer. Do you or plan to put a shoe catty around the base of the bed? I'm wondering where a good place would be for shoes - since I saw it this way on another video. I'm also interested in doing solar, so if your also planning to do it, let me know. (I guess that would be a Stan question) I enjoy you and Stan's video's.
@@jamesregister8883 we thought about putting the shoes and decided against it and thought it would be in the way. We put our shoes in the tray under the bed. As far solar, for the cost of solar I don’t think it’s worth it. We have two batteries up front that will last about 24 hours. We don’t plan to boon-dock. If you plan to do a lot of boon docking then you might want to consider it. If I go to the beach I just use my generator. There are plenty of options. Stan and Rhonda
Move the wallet back to the bedroom. My husband was once robbed because he left his wallet in his coat pocket in the hall, at his office. It was after normal hours during tax season. He is a CPA , so during tax season he takes extra appointments at five, six and seven for people who can’t get away from work until after five. Dude just walks in and takes the wallet out of the pocket. Fortunately he lived across the highway from his office. His wife, at the time, was looking out the window and saw the man come in. She immediate called and told the office, then the police. The wallet was recovered, minus the cash, of course. Since then we don’t leave wallets or purses sitting around where they can be easily seen and removed.
Susan, That would have been a good idea! Funny story, after watching the video my friend wanted it so I passed it along. I actually do have a free standing toilet paper holder/roll holder in the bathroom that I love. Thanks for watching and for your input!! Rhonda
Nancy, I got them on Amazon. There is a link in the video description. If you click on the blue link it will take you right to the Amazon page. Let me know if you have any trouble with it. Thanks for watching! Rhonda
Never put your spice rack near a stove. The heat can damage your spices. Just put your fancy metal spice rack in your cabinet and pull it down when you want to use it. That "wood panel" can be easily damaged. Trust me, I know this from first hand experience! 😂
Thank you for your great advice! After owning a restaurant for several years with my spices next to the stove. I have never experienced that. I think your right though if you never use the spices I guess. In all honesty it really doesn’t get that hot! 🤪
Loyda, Thank you for watching! We also live in the desert. We are actually in Arizona and so far everything is still stuck on very good. We do keep our trailer in a covered storage when we aren’t using it so maybe that makes a difference, I’m not sure. You could always replace with Command Strips and might have better luck. Thank you again for watching and for your input. Blessings, Rhonda

Hi! We are getting a 2022 of this camper on Wednesday! Thanks so much for this info. I will defiantly be getting the baskets and some other stuff
Hi Mary Beth! Congratulations!! How exciting 👏 We love love love this trailer still, lol. We have a 6 month review and a one year review video as well you might enjoy! Do you have any trips planned yet ?

I have the same dish rack! And I love it! You could also sit it inside the sink as they dry, to save your counter space too. This past weekend, I got a roll up over the sink dish rack. It helps create more horizontal space, you could sit the dish rack on it, and you can use it for drying if you just have a few dishes.
Hi Edna, these are great tips! Thank you for watching. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda

Rhonda
I store mine inside the sink so I don't have to worry about left over moisture inside of my cabinets.

Hi! It looks like we have a similar RV. I bought the exact same collapsible dish rack, and put it on the left side of my sink, inside the sink. Still plenty of room to wash the dishes!
Hello there 👋 That’s a great idea! Mine fits it there too, but I still tend to set it on the drying mat on the collapsible counter, but nice to know we have options 🤗

To prime that awesome little shampoo thingy, or any other pump, hold your finger on the end of spout, then pump!

I have the same dish rack but it has spout to drain the water.
Erika, Oh that’s a nice feature. This one has a little tray underneath that slides out and allows the water to drain. It’s fun hearing about different options though! Thanks for you comment 👏

oh nooo hold onto the on the counter paper towel roll holder and get some adhesive and put it under the sink verticle on the back of the cabinet ... they hold 3 toilet paper rolls!!!! so u can have extras on ur rv bathroom =) or hang vertical in kitchen as a dish towel holder or think about what else u can use it for like hang vertical in the closet to hold scarves and belts or ties... etc... =)
Great advice! Thank you for sharing 👍

I would see if I could the spice racks inside the cabinet door next to microwave
Wendy, Thank you for that suggestion! There would be room, but I was concerned about being able to shut the cabinet door if it were to hit the contents inside.

Problem with some of the adhesive things is in cold weather might come unstuck fall and damage something in the trailer

Great ideas! This is the trailer I was hoping to get, but now I see you can’t access the bathroom with the slide in 😢
Darla, Thank you for watching!

Lane, works incredibly great!! We are not full timers but we have been on the road for a month. All of the items I put up has stayed up. Thanks for watching and really appreciate the question. Rhonda
Let’s see 5 camping security tips from sgt Stan!
@@OverTheHillAdventures What are you using for the generator and what items will work and not work.
@@OverTheHillAdventures what items can you run on the 2 batteries and are they lithium?
Sorry that happened to your husband. I appreciate you watching out for us! Thanks for your input. Blessings, Rhonda

Love all these ideas but man we live in the desert non of those adhesives would last a day here :(
Loyda, Thank you for watching!
