Thank you Brian for this video. Nice of that guy to show you and us all of his modifications. He did a very good job! Hope to see you soon! Tell Erin hello.
Hell yah! I'm a former (Canadian) Combat Engineer and all these hacks really get me excited. I will absolutely be utilizing the majority of them. Thanks to you for posting...and to your subject for being friggin awesome! 🫡🫡🫡
We also the the Hughes Watch dog and the Rv Whisper setup. It's awesome to be able to monitor the power and temps when the dogs can't go with us for the day. Love all the mods you have done!
Brian - RV Lock makes locks for Class A's - we have one and love it. Ben - I used a Moryde 200% sliding tray and keep my Camp Chef on it - it pulls away far enough from the coach to use without moving it to another table and I can keep the propane line connected (turn it off at the tank when not in use).
Thanks so much for sharing his rig with us. Such amazing ideas. Five of us have been full time for over three years and are always looking for new storage ideas. This was great!
Wow! This is awesome. Ive been considering the 2800BH. I have a 2023 1500 and it's within my weight limits, but im concerned when i load it down it's going to exceed my max hitch weight of 930. Would love it if Brian would share the weights of his rig loaded down!
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnn! YOUR A GENIUS BRO! These mods are amazing. I love the small details and honestly love how proud you are of your work. i can tell there was a lot of thought that went into all of this. Good work man. Thank you for the inspiration. I will definitely be using some of these ideas on my rig. Also, you are an engineer by trade right? You have to be. lol
Brilliant mods. My friend who lives in a small apartment (They have no counter space, and it's a rental, so no mods.) just got one of those micro dishwashers for Christmas. He raves about it. The dishes come out great. It lives on a cart, and he snakes the drain hose to the sink. If you have no way to do a real dishwasher, this dishwasher may be your answer.
Your wood slide out tray is great. If you apply some Johnsons Paste Wax to all the sliding surfaces it will move very easily and will probably eliminate the sound when you pull it out.
I’ve been looking for a trash bag holder for grocery bags just like the one they have. Where did you find it? Very nice and creative modifications. Thank you for sharing.
The "high tech" long lasting solution for eliminating the drawer noise, and making for a smoother glide, is UHMW plastic. It's sold in many forms, but can also be re-purposed cutting boards (if the available dimensions work for the space). It's commonly used in tablesaw fences, any many other tool accessories. Or, lignum vitae if you want to get real fancy. 😆
There are some rails on top that prevent the tray from tipping out. I’ve been able to easily get about 2/3rds of the way out without any give on the rails.
That’s pretty awesome! Thank you for responding. Would you be willing to share a couple pictures as I have a variation of the shelves and thought ext legs would do and never thought of a tray with in. Thanks in advance if you can other wise, stay safe and enjoy your new baby and travels Sent from my iPhone Regards,
Some higher end class A’s and fifth wheels have analog or more traditional buttons and switches because of the clientele. Generally older folks are buying them and don’t want to miss with an iPad or touchscreen type control system
Ben! You are the storage master! I am not sure if I want my husband to watch this or not. So many good ideas but so many rabbit holes to go down too. Though that dishwasher . . . wow. I need to add the Ikea rail next to my side of the bed, I am up against the wall so no place to put anything. Awesome upgrades and amazing use of space.
Perhaps a rookie question, but I can't seem to figure out how he wired the remote cap light switch. The current switch on my unit only has 2 wires attached. The remote switch has 2 inputs and 2 outputs. When I connect the 2 current wires to the remote switch it only powers 1/2 of the cap lights and no way to turn it off. I know it is going to be a simple answer, but can you direct me? Thanks. Great videos BTW. Lot's of great ideas to make the camping experience more enjoyable.
use high-density polyethylene plastic (HDPE) cut into strips on the underside of the slide out, Its the same material as cutting boards, super slick, super hard and cuts nice. find it at your big box home improvement stores. I built a truck box to store all my construction tools in, drawers pull out one handed
I missed it somewhere, but what is the "make money" have "healthcare" job that allows RV living. I really really would love to do it but the job thing when hubby and I don't really have a retirement income.
So on the hue lights, how were those plugged in? Did he hardwire them? The hues light strips I have, have a 110 plug and need to be plugged in. Help with this would be awesome because I want to use my hue strips and some other hue products!!
Speaking of intrusive cap lights - we were at a campsite a few days ago and someone inexplicably turned these on at like 11:00pm, and left them on until 4:30am. Likewise, several months ago, some guy with a Tiffin, lit up his big TIFFIN logo up front and left it on all night. Is there some protocol to gently ask these folks to turn off lights that are covering everyone for 50 yards around?
A lot of travel nurses do this. I am on my 1st travel assignment and loving it. About to use my nrwly purchased RV for next assignment after I learn more to do it properly. Then they keep the housing stipend which is usually tax free.
Thanks for you videos...I'm about to buy my first RV and I can happily say you have jump started my knowledge in what I would and could do to make my camping time with the family more enjoyable
Could you please do a video explaining the front slide out storage tray? Construction method specifically. We have a 2020 GD Reflection, and that storage area is a B-word. This man is a genius and I’d like to do the same for mine
How much added weight did this build plus stuff did this add to your wet Gross weight and are you technically over the total gross weights, after doing the proper calculations, for both vehicles?
Ben is crazy! In a good sense. How long did it take for him to do all of this work? I like the rear bumper supports, I may put some on even though I only have the spare tire on the bumper.
Yeah, I’m a little crazy (in a good way)! I’d say it took the better part of a month to do all of that. I don’t think there’s any harm at all in reinforcing the bumper... even with just the spare. That kit was really quite easy to install.
Holy crap Ben you are a genius with all the modifications!
😂 Thanks Jessie!
@@triphius you are welcome! From one roadrunner to another. I hope to buy a 5th wheel at some point in the future.
We’ll definitely be buying a 5th wheel at some point and then all this fun gets to happen again!
Rub a white candle on those wood guides to lube it up 😎
Thank you Brian for this video. Nice of that guy to show you and us all of his modifications. He did a very good job!
Hope to see you soon! Tell Erin hello.
Thanks Sherri, I’m glad you liked them!
Hi Sherri!
I would love to see the storage tray design for the front exterior compartment
Agreed! Especially would like to know what drawer sliders he used!
Hell yah!

Ben’s RV is an engineering marvel! Everything is so well engineered.
This guys is my new hero. I want to do all of this.
Happy Father’s day to both of you kind gentlemen
Thank you for sharing this with us
You’re a genius
May you be blessed
The garage storage is very impressive! The PVC pipe as a drill holder. Those garage setup game is crazy!
Awesome ideas. One question/possible concern- how much weight does all this add up to? I’d be curious if it’s been scaled
Lots of great mods. Love the rv locks. One touch and unit is locked. No more walking around checking every single door.
I love the slide outs mainly because it’s the only thing I fully understood and may can replicate. Lol
LOL
We also the the Hughes Watch dog and the Rv Whisper setup. It's awesome to be able to monitor the power and temps when the dogs can't go with us for the day. Love all the mods you have done!

They don't make locks for *my* Class A 😕
@@Five2Go Oh that is a bummer because we love remote entry!
I really enjoyed your video and was wondering if you had a video on adding solar. I looked through your playlist but couldn’t find anything.
We don't have any solar - other than the occasional Walmart parking lot to break up a long drive, we're full hookup campers 😉
I've watched this video three times. The storage on this is crazy good. An the apps. Man you've enlightened me.
Thanks so much for sharing his rig with us. Such amazing ideas. Five of us have been full time for over three years and are always looking for new storage ideas. This was great!
I wonder what this trailer weights now with all of these modifications?
This guy is a genius and needs to work for a RV company.
Thanks Elizabeth!
I agree but RV companies will not pay his worth! IF I had a lot of money, I would hire him to organize my life.
Fr am trying to buy an RV and I need the same amount of space he have 😩 please hmu if u work for people and get paid cause ur RV look so beautiful 😍
Can you post his RUclips account name also ?
Forget the rv companies, start his own bissn
DUDE!!!!
Such amazing, easy to do modifications!!! Thanks for sharing!!
Wow!! I'm so impressed with Ben's RV hacks. Great job.
Ben did you do anything special to your tow vehicle to pull that 2800bh?
Nice job Ben. I like your ideas. Very smart guy
Need/solution. Brilliant!
Have a nice day
You too!
Cooper Tire out of Canada has countertop dishwasher too
The dishwasher was very handy, especially to clean all the baby stuff.
Ben, you’re a freakin genius! Love these mods!
I am curious as to how much tongue weight was added with all the mods and items in storage.
Me too........ that's already a lot of trailer to be towing with a half ton Silverado
A 1000 lbs 🤣
My only concern would be the weight. Especially with the half ton truck. But brilliant design!
Great job! Nice mods, especially liked the slide out shelf!
Thanks Cindy!
I hope you were compensated for your time and for sharing ALL of your amazing tricks with us, Ben! I wish I had a handy partner like you. 🙏
What time is the slide out shelf?
Wow!! What a fabulous fabulous rig!! I love all the modifications!!
Absolutely marvelous! Can you please (pretty please) provide the name or link for those Ikea "cups" which hang from bedroom rails?!?

I agree, it works fantastically!
Love love love the bins and folding table organization!
Just WOW. Great setup Ben!
Unreal how cool he made his rv
nice camper cool modifications
Thanks Denny!
Super great mods. I am assuming they are a fulltime family, but great ideas for weekend warriors too. Shared it on one of my Facebook Groups.
Actually, we’re still part timers. But who knows what the future holds. Thanks for sharing... I hope that others can be inspired by what we’ve done.
Great video...we just got our 2800BH and will be adding the supports for the rear bumper...great ideas throughout this video...

Great modifications but how is the outdoor storage tray anchored so it doesn’t tip down when the drawer is pulled out? Thanks!!

Yeah, when I get some time I’ll take pictures. Probably will just have to share them on Discord though... not sure if YT lets you post photos.
Great Ideas but I wish you showed that he slide system for the pull outs in the. Storage compartments
Thanks Ben that was some great things to add to an RV.
Do you have a link or shortcut to his internet setup? Very interested in that.
Easy way to get rid of that sound when pulling out the drawers is to throw down a few strips of the soft Velcro side. Great mods!
Some of the most impressive mods I've seen! Great job.
Some higher end class A’s and fifth wheels have analog or more traditional buttons and switches because of the clientele. Generally older folks are buying them and don’t want to miss with an iPad or touchscreen type control system
Love the storage slide, I have 6 volt batteries too, love them!! Pretty creative!!
I really like this video, sharing and meeting people

Yeah... on the dishwasher... I just knew we’d do better having it, especially with the baby bottles and whatnot.
I keep looking around for somewhere to use those rails...
It looks great, however, I would like to see how all these affected payload on the RV. It is usually pretty limited as it is
He is a genius for sure!!! Hey for the noise on the sliding drawer use some surf board wax
Nice job on the under belly storage area!
Ben, did I see and hear you had all your apps for all your Bluetooth devices connected to one app?
Great job on all those mods!

Great ideas. A bit difficult to see well but the descriptions were great. Thank you for sharing!
Great video - can’t wait to see more custom mods!!!
Thanks!
Thanks for all the great information that can be done!
Thanks Cathy!
Love the videos, keep them coming... and safe travels.
Very interested I'm the plans for that passed through tray at the front. In particular how does the slide hold itself up when you pull it out so far?
Very likely heavy duty drawer slides
Wow great mods on that unit

Lots of us do IT stuff that's 100% remote. Income and healthcare are definitely the two tricky parts.
Travel nursing?
transcribe medical reports.
My cousin and her daughter do transcription for courts.
That was some great ideas... Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
Oh my god, 5 minutes to wapner, charlie babbit! So amazing ocd, storage, love it!
Awesome video. Just one thing missing. THE BABY! Lol I totally understand if they don’t want to show the kids.
Does the slide out storage swell any when it's rainy or humid?
I am a new subscriber. I am looking at a light TT like imagine or Jayco. I want to see clever organizing
So on the hue lights, how were those plugged in? Did he hardwire them? The hues light strips I have, have a 110 plug and need to be plugged in. Help with this would be awesome because I want to use my hue strips and some other hue products!!

Video on how the slide out shelf works?
LOVE all the cool gadgets added to the RV. Thank you SO much for sharing :-)
We just bough a 2021 twighlight trailer yesterday!! Need to try some of this.
Paul M from Ottawa Canada. Wow, great great ideas. May I ask you type and make of wireless switch you use for you cap lights?
Good job ben.
awesome! thanks again for sharing!
Thanks Tom! Glad you liked the mods!

This is hands down the best modification video I’ve seen.
Do you leave the dishwasher on the counter all the time or only when it’s in use?
I am curious why the two 6v golf cart batteries though with all that potential consumption? Are you always connected to shore power?
Ben is great at organizing!
More detail on the slide tray would have been nice. Does he have a channel, had he done a video on building it?
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing
