You have some good info here, however Lowe’s isn’t the only place to find these items. We have been RV’ing since 1994 and I have found much of the same items at Walmart and Homestore. **** Regarding plate storage, I found that my space is better used when I stand the plates on end in a more solid bin box. I also will slide a paper plate in between each plate. The box will hold all the Corelle plates and bowls in one easy box that I can pull out together for group dinners etc.
Here is a tip for when you're shopping for bins for your cabinets. Take pictures of your cabinets with a tape measure and keep them on your phone so you can easily refer to them to see if a bin you're looking at will fit where you're thinking about using it.
Thank you! Makes sense! And I won't have to keep pulling out my list of measurements. Most of our bins will be the cube cloth totes on the counter and in the cabinets. They cushion, are easy to carry, and come in the 11 in and 13 in cube sizes, in a variety of colors, patterns, or solids, And are relatively inexpensive. They are replacing any plastic crates, which are heavy, and have too many holes!
We just bought our first RV. Your organization videos are very helpful. Thank you. When we were little we always were camping. Camper full, 2 adults and 7 kids. Life was great but mom did it all. I had no idea of the work ahead. Thanks mom for all you did 🥰
The stackable wire shelves can also be hung upside down, with little brackets that screw into the underneath side of cabinets. You can use just one, or stack together as many as you need since they have a secure connection. I used 4, under a bathroom cabinet, for towel storage. They worked like a charm.
Thank you for this video. My family just moved into a travel trailer full time because our apartment rent was too high. And I'm trying to find space, this video helps so much❤
I love your videos so much! I am learning so much from you! I love your straight talk style and helping me know what DOESNT work, as well as what does. I loved your video on unwritten RV rules. I grew up RVing, but it is new to my husband and I didn’t realize all the stuff that he wouldn’t know. 😂. Thanks so much!
Really enjoy your tips and solutions. I too like bins but found some softer plastic bins at Target that are great for ice. We use a separate ice maker and transfer to a bin that goes in the freezer. When we need ice for drinks its usually one big frozen glob. A large wooden handled item is all thats needed to break them into cubes again. And the softer plastic bins hold up to the pounding.
Yes, starting with the first item. I was all excited that I was going to learn of something revolutionary. Also, Walmart is cheaper than Lowe's. Disappointed
Eh- I disagree, especially about dollar store. Sure- you can get a roll of anti skid, but I’d guarantee you’re paying more per sq ft to buy @ dollar store vs bulk at Lowes. I’d encourage comparison shopping- not just in price, but in size and quality. In my experience Lowes tends to have more sales on storage/organization items and their items are substantially better in quality than walmart or dollar store. Target tends to run on the expensive side in my opinion.
Great video! I love the collapsible Allen & Roth Cubes!! Extra dry goods, throws, shopping trips, whatever!! They are my #1 go to. The soft baskets, too- on the MH dash. One for leashes, one for either summer (sunscreen bug spray etc) or winter (gloves hats headlamps!) Thanks! Can’t wait to see more of your videos!
That kitchen corner rack if you flip it over, you got three levels are using my regular kitchen covered something goes in on the bottom and you have two shelves on top
I'm a big fan of peg-boards. Cut it to size (Ask nicely when they aren't busy and they might cut several pieces to size before you load it into your vehicle.) brace it with a couple vertical or horizontal 1x2's, and organize your brains out.
I've crocheted some of those flexible bags using grocery plastic bags. The key is keeping colors together ie great, white, yellow. Lots of free patterns for them online
Not a Lowes product BUT A great idea for freezer space saving in small camper freezers is Souper Cubes (Amazon). Everything freezes in perfect block forms. Prep foods and freeze prior to taking off and the square and rectangular shapes save all the little odd wasted spaces. Every inch counts in a camper counts. This way much of your dinner prep is done too and no pans to clean!!! Great for frozen pasta dishes.
Excellent video! So informative, without being annoying. I came across you by accident and so glad I did. I will look through your video history and continue to watch. Will be a full-timer by next year. Thanks.
That is where I'm headed to, first!! Our pop up has a nice long counter/bench that offers plenty of storage cabinets. But for baskets and containers, I'm headed to $ tree. Or Menards, for supplies. Some folks "must haves" do not apply to all. Js.😏
Couldn't find at Home Depot, but could at Lowes, eh? Yeah, that happens a lot, for me at least. I shopped at Home Depot 2 or 3 times when they first appeared in this area. That was around 30 years ago I think, maybe more. And not shopped at Home Depot since, much better variety at Lowes, and way better service.

Great video and tips! However, whenever you said 'bin(s)' I kept thinking about that receptical into which you dispose of your rubbish. You would call them trash cans, but we, in Australia, call them (rubbish) bins. 😂 We call the others either containers or boxes. I love those big, roomy baskets!

Thanks so much for doing this topic. We enjoy your channel. I was wondering though about the shelf liner that you featured for your first item. We have been using it in our pickup camper for years. We find that items don't move in transit. That is saying something for a pickup camper. But we have a problem with it sliding around and folding up as you move items in and out of the cupboard. How do you solve this problem? Thanks!
We are not full time and have not had any of our command hooks, which get used a lot, fall off. And it’s is stored and even taken to places all summer where temps exceed 100 degrees. So 🤷🏻♀️ we’ve had good luck 👍🏼
Should I put the Anti-Skid liners ON the stacking shelves as well? Do your dishes slip at all without them ON the rack or do you just put them directly on the shelf. Last time I used the Anti-Slip liners they'd just scrunch up and not stay flat... I definitely want my items to stay put when we're moving, but I don't want to feel like I wasted my money if they wont stay on the shelves or if they look awful. LOL

I also gave run elastic straps through those as well To keep everything from falling out the door when you open it. Because stuff will fall off of those into the door. If you have ever been in and accident of a vehicle that is loaded with your stuff Then the extra time to make sure nothing is going to fly through the air and kill you is worth it. I am not an expert But I have been there
@@GratefulGlamper do your cabinets have magnetic closures? We are thinking of putting some in our pop up.
@@wendywilson1736 yes But the rough highways like Louisiana will shake them open. It is just easier to use Velcro strips . Magnetic closures do not and won’t hold things in the cabinets in a wreck. In a wreck only those things that are strapped down are less likely to hit you.
It is better to be safe than sorry It’s not pretty to strap everything down. But death is t either
The corner shelf-
Started out upside down
But the next one?

Not vertical for plates
Shopping while you discover is one thing
But you sound like you’re trying to sound like you’ve already experienced every item you touch
Love ideas to use items they weren’t intended-when it’s a clever use idea
Thanks for watching!
Almost anything that is used vertically can be used horizontally. I use those lid holders to store plates too and it works great.
@@krislee72 Great idea!
This looks interesting the background music is difficult. I wish everyone would get rid of the music that's so loud.
Thanks for the feedback
Why would you not put the case of water on the floor?????
We do from time to time, but we have very little floor space left once all the slides are in.
